We were down at Big 3 East in Daytona Beach, FL again in March to cover the event and we had an opportunity to check out IWI again and see what they had going on for 2015. Which IDF units carried the ace? All I saw IDF carrying when I was there recently where AR’s and mini tavors.
A standard AK has the same sight radius as a standard M4. Measure it.

The IWI ACE is the new standard weapon for the Colombian Army. After a couple of experiences with the rifle at the range I would say that the ACE is not a good weapon. The barrel is extremely heavy, during shooting the weapons jams in a way that the activity was stopped and the weapons sent to the repair shop.The plastic pieces in the handguard are from a very poor quality, it damaged so easy.

My 762×39 ace pistol w/brace base never had any problems and shoots better than my full size ak’s I own or have shot. I definitely recommend this weapon.
I’m a noobie when it comes to guns, so simple question is galil ace, just a copy of ak-47 or some other ak variant? if so, then is it russian made or does russia gives the approval for this gun to be made? again just a curious noobie:)

If the Tavor is so great why does everyone need to drop in a $350 giesselle trigger right off the bat? If I pay $1700 for a rifle I would expect it a decent to match grade trigger.
They should come out with a Tavor in .308. That’d be sweet.
The Israeli military never officially adopted the Galil ACE, only the original Galil. This was before the surplus m16 variants flooded the IDF in the 80s. Even today, I mostly see m16s on the streets in Israel. The Tavor, however, has mostly replaced it in combat units.

In slo-mo in this and other vids, during firing you can see the ACE flex where the stock meets the rear of the receiver.
