    Horrible lighting in this video

  2. Jeff C on October 29, 2021 at 4:07 pm

This video made this task very easy. Perfectly done. User manual explains what all the shim numbers mean and was easy to figure out. Awesome.

Given that I am right handed and do not need to adjust the cast how to I just adjust the drop. New video perhaps

When positioning the front shim should the markings be facing the rear, towards the shooter? I wished they zoomed in on that!

  6. Jared Sawyer on October 29, 2021 at 4:12 pm

Does this procedure apply to A350 Xtreme?

  7. Jeff C on October 29, 2021 at 4:13 pm

It would be good to mention that you should lube the screw holes and screwdriver with something. Otherwise you will tear up the rubber around the screw holes. I’m sure most people will say it is common sense, it was not common sense for me. A $50 lesson learned.

This video is very helpful, but removing the Kick-off unit is not as easy as it appears.  I couldn’t get a T15 screwdriver (recommended) that was small enough to get through the brass fitting.  I called Beretta in NY and Scott suggested trying an allen wrench.  A 3/32" one worked perfectly.

  9. lascar48 on October 29, 2021 at 4:16 pm

When he says ‘place the plastic shim with the letters facing you at the top’, does he mean facing you when shooting?

  10. Jc Reyes on October 29, 2021 at 4:16 pm

Is it the same for the a350 extrma????

  11. Jim Moseley on October 29, 2021 at 4:17 pm

My A400 Extreme Plus shoots low and to the right. Your video didn’t help. Any more suggestion on a video? Thanks.

Just bought a 1301 comp. I shoot left handed so tried to replace the DX plate with SX. Can’t figure out how to remove the end plate. I have the butt removed and the bolt and can see the Cast plate but can’t get the plastic end cap off. Can’t find instructions how to remove. Please do a video or provide explanation. PS – the Xtreme has screws whereas I don’t see any for the 1301.

I looked at mine and the plate and shim were in different settings! From the factory. Great.

  22. vccnapa on October 29, 2021 at 4:27 pm

Nice video but it did not deliver… I watched this to see how to adjust the length of pull… which the title offered… it was never addressed…. how do you adjust the length of pull on a stock with the kick off?

  23. Lost Dragon on October 29, 2021 at 4:27 pm

so, the shims are facing in opposite directions?
the metal one facing the back and the plastic one facing the barrel?

Also, is this identical to the 1301 comp pro?

  24. apnaus on October 29, 2021 at 4:29 pm

Hey, i can’t seem to see the rib or the bead … how can I lift the stock ?
    Thank you !!

  25. Jace Wilson on October 29, 2021 at 4:29 pm

What is the torque value in inch pounds on the 13mm nut?

  26. Bart Gallant on October 29, 2021 at 4:31 pm

I appreciate the video but you completely ignore the most challenging phase of cast/drop adjustment in this category of Beretta SA’s. On every unit from the 391 to the A400 replacing the washer and self locking nut is a hilariously haphazard and unmentioned exercise. Add in the Kick-Off assembly as an obstacle and the placing of the metal shim plus the self-locking nut is a ridiculous time wasting exercise. Beretta or Cole should market a deep well socket perhaps manufactured even from plastic of sufficient length, close tolerance and look-through design to allow first-attempt placement of the nut.

Can I eliminate the 1/2 inch spacer for the shortest LOP possible?

  28. Hunter Buff on October 29, 2021 at 4:33 pm

Can you leave a spacer off the back and just have the recoil pad there

  29. Billy & Heather Crawford on October 29, 2021 at 4:34 pm

how do you decrease LOP on a 20 ga Xplor with the kickoff system

  30. Czgunner on October 29, 2021 at 4:35 pm

How do I add Kick Off to my 1301 Tactical LE?

  31. HootiesFilms on October 29, 2021 at 4:37 pm

Nice instructions, clear and concise. The whole stock on my a400 extreme plus was randomly loose, I had to take the stock apart and tighten that 13mm bolt holding the stock on. One little correction though, once you take the butt pad off those 5 screws are t10 torx and not t8.

If anybody knows how to mountain red dot on A400 xplore ? Thanks

Can you make a video on how to change a battery on a gunpod of an a400 xplor action?

  35. Kalum Alverson on October 29, 2021 at 4:47 pm

Anyone know how much in-lb of torque you should apply to the kick off system when tightening the 13mm bolt

  36. Ruthless4645 on October 29, 2021 at 4:47 pm

Hi, I’m a left handed shooter and I’m having a problem with my A400 Xtrema Unico. When I bring the gun up to shoulder I’m seeing way to MUCH of the rib, it’s very difficult to see st flat down the rib to the bead (so I’m always shooting high). I’ve heard several other shooters of this gun complain of the same problem even after shimming. Can anyone help out here please?…Thanks.

  37. sg255010 on October 29, 2021 at 4:48 pm

I did this yesterday just to service the kick off and clean out the stock. My question is my Phillips and T style screws are rusted pretty good. Should I contact Beretta for replacements or Brownells? Thanks

  38. gtty111 on October 29, 2021 at 4:49 pm

I kept waiting for one of the screw etc. to roll into one of the holes in the top of the bench.  Thanks for the clip 🙂

  39. Jay Thompson on October 29, 2021 at 4:49 pm

First, thank you for the video, it helped.  But just so I am clear, the cast polymer shim should be placed on the stock with the corresponding drop number visible and on the top?  Just like the drop shim?  In other words, both of the corresponding numbers/letters would be facing you as you look at both the front and the end of the stock.  Is this correct?   example: 60DX <— stock —>60DX  Thanks in advance..

  40. Antonio Silva on October 29, 2021 at 4:52 pm

Does this same procedure work for the A300 outlander?

  41. MrMan11 on October 29, 2021 at 4:52 pm

make some videos for the a350. i feel like my gun is a fake theres zero info

  42. 666gun100 on October 29, 2021 at 4:54 pm

What size spacers come in the guns from the factory?

  43. Ole Jonesee on October 29, 2021 at 4:55 pm

I changed the cast and drop on my extreme plus was getting cheek slap… fits and shoots great now. I was out the door on a hunt right after I did this and found a little rubber o ring about 1/4 inch outside dia. on the floor. I don’t know if it was out of my stock or off something else. Is there any o rings in stock of a kickoff?

  44. Xavier Toscano on October 29, 2021 at 4:56 pm

Hello , how I can get it contact with some one from beretta that can explain me how to make some adjustments to the kick off sistem ?

  45. Taylor's Outdoor Adventures on October 29, 2021 at 4:58 pm

Hi is it okay to use NO spacers and ONLY the butt pad? Thanks for your time.

  46. Glenn Maddock on October 29, 2021 at 4:58 pm

I left my half inch spacer out all-together to reduce LOP on a new a400 Lite Syn Gun. Gonna try it like that tomorrow. It doesn’t appear to have to have the spacer at all. And the Gun fits my short arms now. Wish I could do that to my Unico KO….Thoughts?

  48. erg0centric on October 29, 2021 at 5:02 pm

    Mine is T10

Perhaps a $2000 shotgun could come with a toolkit?

Shim marking towards the front towards the shooter is a bit vague.

Might want to mention D for Dexter or right handed, S for sinister or left handed.

The downloadable owners manual has all drawings removed and is useless.
