    Needs to be tested out.

I own one. Pumps and semi-autos have the same number of actions required to go live. That said, having this 1301 in a cruiser ready state is much better than having to pump a shotgun several times during a violent encounter. Yes, the initial manual of arms seems to be more difficult in terms of order of operation for the 1301 but that, too, is not really the case. This of course is just my opinion and I remain open to learning.

I just bought this shotgun (generation 2) after extensive online review research. One of the things which make it difficult to discern whether you are buying Generation 1 (which I definitely did not want due to the gen 1 gun not having a OBHP-IC choke and apparently having bolt related feed issues) – was the fact that many gun shops are still not updating their 1301 descriptions, i.e., they are describing the generation 1 gun, when in fact, they should be describing the generation 2 gun (MPN J131T18C)
. In any event, I will be looking at the gun carefully to ensure that I did in fact, get a Gen 2 shotgun and not the earlier model. Question – does the shotgun come in a hard case or a box? Also, are there additional chokes included? Thank you . . . Great review.

Just a heads up – by adding the Nordic mag extension and no other American parts, your 1301 is not 922r compliant. Not a big deal if it’s a range gun, but if you use it for HD and it’s used in a home invasion on a perp, a vindictive prosecutor could throw the book at you.
