If you wanna get technical most of the US military is still using the M16A4, with a few A3’s floating around
the 545 is necked down more aggressively and has the standard 7.62 x 39 casing just necked down thus giving it more pressure behind the bullet. the bullet is also longer making tumbling very common for that round.
You are good to go with American Rifle (A.R). Love the Russian Girl but for the sake of America, you have a diff. choice. That punch of 5.45 is more reactive….
AR-15 is a more effective combat weapon.
Is it really communist if it’s owned by an American? Kinda like the argument of calling these types of guns assault weapons when they are used for defensive or recreational purposes lol.
I like both, but prefer the AK. Main reasons….I don’t baby my guns. I only clean after using corrosive ammo. (Windex, soapy water, Motor oil.) 2nd reason, I ‘am poor. Steel case ammo is cheapo. It’s a weird irony… the AR being "America’s gun", but feeding your AR with 5.56, .223, 300 BLK will cost you out the ass. 3rd reason 7.62 x39 will drop most critters (2 and 4 legs) very well.
Both my Kalashnikovs and ARmalites wear the same grip. I have replaced the original grips with TAPCO SAW grips. The TAPCO grip was/is available to fit AK or AR platforms. For me it is a excellent grip.
20000 rds is impressive, although I haven’t shot that much and only shoot brass and own and love all my aks I have never had and problem s out of my BCM 13.5

Russia has the best guns
It’s hitting harder because of the steel core ammo on the 74. The Winchester is a 55 gr bullet and the 74 is 62 gr.
Finally someone who did ar15 vs ak74 and not ar15 vs ak47 it’s like comparing a bolt action to a musket it’s unfair

I like both platforms. Although, if AK’s are the most produced of all guns in history. Why are they way more expensive and ammo is scarce for them in the U S.? We Americans love guns. Every gun owner I know ones at least one AR. Can’t say that for the AK…

The same principle of the AK74 applies to the M16/AR: the US used the heavier .308/7.62 NATO round before switching to the 5.56 round to carry more ammo and lower weight carried.

Now I’m gonna talk from experience I had 13 years experience with the AR platform as a national guardsmen my rifle was a m16a1 every time we would go to the range there was guys that had nothing but issues including me misfires failure feed trying to put two cartridges in the chamber at the same time and it’s like nobody gave a shit we’re gonna send you into combat with this shitty rifle I agree they have improved them but this is the biggest reason why I don’t own a AR platform because if I’m on my own I don’t want a weapon that’s going to fail because a little bit of dirt gets in it or a little bit of moisture gets in it from The dew in the air mix with some dirt and Gunpowder residue that doesn’t bother the AK 47 at all I knew a guy that claimed he hasn’t cleaned his Ak In three years and shooting that crappy Russian ammo now nobody’s going to go out fill there gun full of mud and try and shoot it that’s ludicrous but if the AK happens to fall in a mud pile and get clogged all you need to do is find a mud puddle or a stream somewhere and wash the big chunks out of it and the weapon will start to work unlike the AR if that happens you have to disassemble it and clean it thoroughly that is the difference that is why I own Ak over a AR Accuracy means nothing if the weapon won’t fire
And listen what you just said the AK is used by almost everybody around the world what the hell are we missing is everyone in the world stupid or are we just not getting it I think we’re just not getting it
And I solely believe if something ever went down in this country and I mean sliding sideways it’s going to be like Vietnam all over again there’s gonna be people lying dead with cleaning rod stuck in there AR Platforms and disassembled in various stages of cleaning
In combat you don’t have time to clean your weapon you may not even have the equipment to clean your weapon think about that
I’m gonna add one more thing I can also lubricate the AK platform on used engine oil and it’ll work just fine
My first gun was an AK, I was an AK fanboy most of my life. I got my first AR about 2 years ago, and at first I wasn’t super impressed. Swapped the buffer for a hydraulic buffer, swapped the regular buffer spring for a tubb flat wire extra strength spring, and swapped the birdcage for a gnarly titanium muzzle break, and holy crap….. Kicks like a .22 now, I can mag dump with 0.18 second splits and keep every round in a fist sized group with the thing now.
Still love AKs, a lot, but geez, a lighter, more accurate, and lower recoiling platform with a larger aftermarket and better ergonomics is hard to argue against.
Compared to the 5.45? The 5.56 has greater muzzle energy, carries more energy down range, and has more kinds of bullet designs (frangible, polymer tipped, hollow points, soft points, open tipped match, armor piercing, solid copper rounds, FMJ etc) in a higher range of weights (45-77 grain options), it’s not even close, at least 7.62×39 has a couple advantages like barrier penetration. 5.45 loses in every category.
Pretty sure you can customize an ak just like an ar. All you need is a rail and you can attach what ever you want. There’s some cool stuff out there if you really look. Still like the vid appreciate the upload😉

I hate AR’s and M4’s because FUCK star chambers…
AKs are more gangster looking and AKs have a lot more different mag designs where the AR has all the same looking mags. My question when somebody says you can’t add as much stuff to the AK; What can’t you add to an AK that you actually need? You can add different stocks, flashlights, quad and picatinny rails, scopes, gas adjustable pistons ( which is really the only real upgrade you should add), different grips, muzzle brakes,etc. With all the modern variations of the AK today compared to 20 years ago, you can add pretty much anything you need. People just keep repeating that argument like they do with the accuracy argument saying AKs aren’t accurate which is complete BS. That’s on the shooter. I think Bc those two arguments have been around for so long, ppl are just used to repeating them. Also, ppl just add so much unnecessary crap to their ARs that are not necessary but mainly for looks. You can add everything you actually need to the AK. And I love ARs too but I prefer the old school colt commando design. Simple and bada$$. But when someone says you can’t add as much to an AK, I simply ask what can’t you add that you actually need? Mainly, ppl want to add for looks,
My Arsenal AK-74 was my go-to rifle for years but I sold it and I’m going all in on the AR now. Just makes more sense in America. No more cheap spam cans of 7N6 available. If the Wolf family of ammo dries up it’s over for that platform. Great vid. Cheers

AK weight is higher, poor quality, not many supressor options, poor quality ammo, less possibilities to use different addons, for beginner harder to learn to use it without better training, bigger recoil, so overall, AK is piece of shit.

shoot the 62 grain penetrator in a 1in9 twist and c what it does in jell or ur favorite coyote. in the test in the 80’s nato would not allow the 1in9 because did not stabilize tracer and bullet tumble was inhumane
