  7. Adrian Carlos on October 27, 2021 at 5:47 pm

Sootch, do you still feel this way about the 300 AAC in 2021?

  8. gearhead3214 on October 27, 2021 at 5:47 pm

So your saying if I have an ar-15 chambered in .223, I can get a 300blkO barrel and I’d be good?

  9. Walter Langkowski on October 27, 2021 at 5:48 pm

Shoots 1.00$ rounds, uses plastic flip ups lol

I’d heard about the 300BO years ago but pew-pew’d (pun intended) the idea as a passing fad. Boy was I wrong. Over the last two years, I’ve picked up 3 different uppers in 300, got sick of paying a buck a round, and started loading it. I love the versatility of this round, the suppressability, the short-barreled ballistics, the decent range, and the ability to hunt AND defend with it. What do I want for Christmas??? A 7.5" folding 300BO pistol for a truck gun!!!

I think you have just convinced me to start liking the AR platform again. I am retired military and we use the “AR” platform (M-16/M-4) and I don’t like it’s “true “ intended purpose, due to the reason for NATO, the 5.56 round was intended to maim not kill..look up the nato reasoning behind it.. But all the enemies had AK rounds. We weren’t fighting another country, we were engaging terrorist .. I’m going to go back to the AR platform and try the black out. Thanks

  16. Naked Zebra on October 27, 2021 at 5:59 pm

This is a bad video do your resaerch folks

  17. Dawson Flinn on October 27, 2021 at 6:00 pm

I absolutely love my 300 blackout, I built the rifle myself but due to COVID the ammo is through the roof expensive at a solid 1.85 per round, but the fact that I can go subsonic in a mag change is worth it

  18. iAmShadow FN on October 27, 2021 at 6:05 pm

    GBA hoorah

  19. Six Roldan on October 27, 2021 at 6:06 pm

Best 300BLK video on YouTube. Hands down.

  20. Naked Zebra on October 27, 2021 at 6:06 pm

lol 6 years ago, when the internet still believed 762 had more penetration

  21. MacCready on October 27, 2021 at 6:08 pm

Cost wasn’t mentioned, 300 blk ammo is ridiculously expensive as of this post’s date, and not to mention very hard to find. The downfalls of 7.62x39mm were overstated. It really is superior in many ways in an AR. The money you’d save shooting this cheaper round you could invest in bolts and barrels and still be saving money. Lastly the vast majority of target shooters will never notice a difference in accuracy between the 300 blk and the 7.62x39mm.

    Fantastic video

  23. stripervince1 on October 27, 2021 at 6:13 pm

Shark byte. Don’t think so. 45 ain’t outdated, it’s better than 10 mm. More guns chambered for it, easier to find ammo for it, 45 cost less, almost as powerful with plus p loads.. Almost. Way easier on the gun for maintenance. way lower chamber pressure like 20,000 psi compared to 40,000 psi for 10mm. Hear that polymer guns are cracking under the stress and high chamber pressure of the 10mm. Harder to shoot, more recoil, harder to upgrade and accessorize, less parts also. I’ll keep my glock 30s. I look at the 10 mm glock 29. 45 acp better for all those reasons I just listed. Anything a 10mm can kill, so can a 45

  24. rcstl on October 27, 2021 at 6:14 pm

Not that easy. The barrels are ported at pistol length, ~6.5 inches opposed to carbine or rifle. So, need a gas tube, gas block and maybe more to convert a 223/556 to 300. Still better than buying a whole new rifle.

  25. Jonathan Wick on October 27, 2021 at 6:15 pm

In 2021 we’re averaging $1.00 (Wolf) to $3.00 (higher end) per round.

  26. The Filthygringo on October 27, 2021 at 6:16 pm

Not worth the money , but great for military application as intended…

  27. Wayne Battersby on October 27, 2021 at 6:18 pm

How easy is it to swap barrels, I am new to AR platform, I have a Del-Ton Echo 3 556. And I was thinking about getting a 300 blackout barrel.

  28. Tom on October 27, 2021 at 6:18 pm

Usefull video with the info I needed. Regards from the EU.

  29. Colin on October 27, 2021 at 6:19 pm

Great decision for a AR15 conversion.

  30. zamiryi on October 27, 2021 at 6:21 pm

    $11.99/box…………..its $1.50/rnd now

  31. EL Coyote on October 27, 2021 at 6:23 pm

Now that Russian ammo ban is now in full effect, its possible that 300 blackout prices will equalize (or at least close in) with 7.62×39. Hopefully U.S. ammo makers will up there 30 caliber game.

  32. British Airways Boeing 747-436 on October 27, 2021 at 6:23 pm

556 cartridge and 762 head, learnt what a .300 blackout is!

  33. Joshua Mount on October 27, 2021 at 6:24 pm

Thank you for actually knowing what your talking about. Have they made a bullet that’s a mix between the 2 creations preferably a happy medium between the 556 and the AK round?

  34. That0neGuyGames on October 27, 2021 at 6:24 pm

not an ak-47 only, its the ak platform. LuL

Almost sounds like my hammerli 22lr I want a can so bad now

  37. John Viera on October 27, 2021 at 6:32 pm

The 7.62 does NOT penetrate better than a 62g 5.56

  38. John Viera on October 27, 2021 at 6:32 pm

Cmon Scotchy. That knock down power test was pathetic.

  39. A S on October 27, 2021 at 6:34 pm

    Scootch, what would you buy now, a 556 8 inch or a 300 8 inch? Post c19?

  40. Polarity333 on October 27, 2021 at 6:34 pm

    Your sights are backwards

  41. Mitch Culpepper on October 27, 2021 at 6:35 pm

The 300 blackout is just a testament to the design genius of the AR 15.
The 6.5 Grendel is my favorite because it extends range and lethality while only marginally reducing capacity.
The 300 gives you that heavy for caliber CQB lethality that is purpose built for suppressors and short barrels. If that’s your thing, you have the perfect excuse for building one!

  42. Angel Nava on October 27, 2021 at 6:35 pm

I just bought a box of 300 sub

  43. Alex Taylor on October 27, 2021 at 6:35 pm

What barrel would you recommend to change my .556 over to a 300?

  44. Chris Kepics on October 27, 2021 at 6:35 pm

    Hwhy? 😄

  45. stripervince1 on October 27, 2021 at 6:35 pm

300 blackout rocks, my AR with seven inch barrel is quiet as shit with subsonic 220 grain unsuppressed. Great caliber

  46. True to America on October 27, 2021 at 6:36 pm

I been on the fence about the 300 AAC, my mind is now made up, ill be getting a PSA complete upper chambered in 300AAC BLK, no brainer
