Major Dan Rooney of the Folds of Honor Foundation addresses the crowd at the NRA-ILA Leadership Forum, an event of the 2013 NRA Annual Meetings in Houston, Texas. The Folds of Honor Foundation is a charitable organization with a mission to empower deserving military families with educational support and opportunities.
All the best golfers I have known were former air force members. Oddly, none of my fellow Marines were ever very good at golf.
I have been on two flights which included an Honor Guard accompanying the remains of a fallen soldier. In both cases that airline captain made an announcement asking everyone to remain seated until the Honor Guard had deplaned. In both cases everyone did remain seated.
