WorldView: Mexico sues U.S. gun-makers; U.S. approves potential weapons sale to Taiwan

Mexico is suing several U.S. gun manufacturers. Meanwhile, the Biden administration told Congress it’s planning a $750 million weapons sale to Taiwan, and there are reports of a special prisoner camp possibly being built for dissidents in Belarus. Also, the World Health Organization called on nations to withhold COVID-19 booster shots, saying those vaccines should go to people who have yet to receive a single dose. CBS News foreign correspondent Ian Lee joins CBSN AM from London with those headlines.

The ROC lost its land on the mainland to the CCP but retained its power on the island of Taiwan. CCP and the ROC the war never ended its been a stalemate since after WW2. CCP wants a united China under its rule but so too could ROC claim mainland under its rule. In the end none of this matters the war has been over for many decades and both have to accept the fact CCP cannot be removed from the mainland and ROC cannot be removed from Taiwan without WW3. A democratic country and a communist country are not compatible and both have to accept the fact you will never get unity.

The mex government argues in the lawsuit that American gunmakers knowingly facilitate the sale of arms to criminal groups in Mexico by marketing their wares in ways that appeal to drug traffickers and refusing to put responsible restrictions on sales.

  3. Col Redman on December 4, 2021 at 6:57 pm

This is rich! This failed and corrupt state has the huevos to do this when they give drug cartels carte blanche? This is obviously an anti-second amendment stunt orchestrated by both special interest groups and the white house. It is too outrageous not to be.
Remember ”Fast and Furious”? The AFTs gun-running in Mexico? Iran Contra? Cricket chirps…Nobody? This sounds like Mexico’s leadership wants a wall. We should give it to them.

  4. Alex G on December 4, 2021 at 6:58 pm

    USA put the weapons
    MEXICO put the deaths

  5. Ameri Can on December 4, 2021 at 6:58 pm

This is hilarious. Mexico’s #1 import to the U.S. is drugs and human trafficking. Countersuit? Blaming another country for your massive governmental failure is leftist ideology full circle.

We will Annex you! Get control of your people or we will do it for you!

  7. Droppin Bass on December 4, 2021 at 6:59 pm

Maybe if the border was more secure there wouldn’t be as many guns being sold or traded for drugs & other illegal items no matter which side of the border they’re coming from.

  8. B D on December 4, 2021 at 7:02 pm

Put em out of biz and there will still be enough firearms for 1000 years

  9. Tazz Cindy on December 4, 2021 at 7:05 pm

The US should bring a lawsuit against Mexico for all the the drug death in America…… Just saying

  10. microcolonel on December 4, 2021 at 7:08 pm

It is facially absurd for Mexico to be able to sue Americans for their rights. The courts should dismiss the suits out of hand.

  11. mafiahalo93 on December 4, 2021 at 7:08 pm

Mexico isn’t going to get a single penny from the US or US businesses in the lawsuit regardless if they win or lose. and if they want to try they can get gunned down

    Hahah 😂😂🤣🤪 now that’s funny 😆

  13. Schäfer G. on December 4, 2021 at 7:11 pm

In Tijuana alone 70% of guns used in homicides where traced to the US. Straw purchases and US lax guns have fuels Mexico violence and empowered the cartels.

  14. Highly 21 on December 4, 2021 at 7:11 pm

People come here because of the gun violence going on because of the USA gun industry.

  15. Vida Orvis on December 4, 2021 at 7:13 pm

Mexico should sue Biden and Obama personally they put the guns in mexico not the gun makers.

  24. Tokusatsu Keyblade on December 4, 2021 at 7:23 pm

They should be suing the US government instead for operation “Fast and Furious”, since that’s how a good portion of the guns even got into Mexico to begin with.

  25. Chris Howard on December 4, 2021 at 7:23 pm

  39. Espejos por ORO . . y Litio . . ChuYe el SalSa J S on December 4, 2021 at 7:40 pm

Just a political move in Mexico to show past mexican presidencies and also corrupt politicians how bad was for mexico to let USA twist their elbows

  40. Roy Sepulveda on December 4, 2021 at 7:42 pm

Sue Mexican cartels for all the drugs they are bringing in and sue the f@#ked up Mexican government for all the illegals they allow to sneak across. While your at it, sue modelo, tecate, cuervo and any exporters of alcohol, into the US, because of the alcoholics they are creating.

  41. LooxGood on December 4, 2021 at 7:42 pm

    Fast and Furious~ 😀

  42. Josh R. on December 4, 2021 at 7:42 pm

Here’s the thing if you are against this lawsuit because as gun manufacturers say Mexico is responsible for the crime within its borders, then you also need to be against any politician saying Mexico is the problem for all the drugs we have in our country. The guns that are built here and sold to people and illegally transported into Mexico become drugs that are illegally sent across the border into our country. You want to put a stop to it? Support this lawsuit.

  43. MrMarcosema on December 4, 2021 at 7:43 pm

Mexico is a failed state, maybe the U.S. should sue mexico for drug smuggling and illegal migrants, Mexico is the Somalia of america, build that wall and close that border

  50. mtlartist on December 4, 2021 at 7:49 pm
