Why The M&P Is Better Than Glock?

Why The M&P Is Better Than Glock?

Features and history vary substantially from one gun to the next. That can make it difficult to choose which firearm is best, or even if one firearm is better than another. The answer to which gun is best is subjective, of course. While pros and cons of pistol models can be easily listed on paper, a shooter will always have to decide for himself or herself which feels better and fits his or her lifestyle.

The M&P is better, but I’ll always carry my Glock.

  2. peterk814 on November 7, 2022 at 9:19 pm

    Everything is better than glock

  3. Henry Henderson on November 7, 2022 at 9:20 pm

You know why nothing S$W ever makes will ever be better than Glock? Support! You can still get parts for your old glocks. Can’t can be said for S&W hand guns thus why my first SW9F has been a paperweight missing parts no longer made.

  4. anonymous2024 on November 7, 2022 at 9:22 pm

ive had Glocks and when i shoot them its kinda like meh. nothing i really like about them. but i have always said its the Honda of handguns. nothing fancy lots of after market if thats what you like but its just gonna run if left a lone.

All I can say is…. SALES, DURABILITY, RELIABILITY, & TRACK RECORD speak for themselves

  6. Matt Schroeder on November 7, 2022 at 9:23 pm

    i have 2 m&p

  7. O X on November 7, 2022 at 9:24 pm

    Glock is still king 👑

  8. cLark Butts on November 7, 2022 at 9:26 pm

I love the m&p line of guns, but I do have a few block guns.

  9. Richard Wooley on November 7, 2022 at 9:28 pm

Glock is not the original or first polymer pistol.

  10. Nexis on November 7, 2022 at 9:29 pm

Slide still drops upon a hard mag change. And glocks are like the Honda of guns with all the aftermarket support. Both are good guns so long as they haven’t been bubbaed. Not saying a goochie sidearm is a bad thing as long as it’s gone right.

  11. Frank Wood on November 7, 2022 at 9:30 pm

It depends on what someone wants to shoot, for me if a gun goes bang with a variety of ammo it s win-win for me. Glock & Smith and Wesson both do a good. I don’t own any smith automatics but I do own two smith 357 revolvers with a 3 and 4 inch barrel.

  12. Fuzzgutter Wins on November 7, 2022 at 9:30 pm

    Click bait

  13. Brad White on November 7, 2022 at 9:30 pm

    Both guns are effin sweet!

When the aluminum framed M&P 2.0 10mm comes out boy oh boy I gotta try that out.

  15. LeekOutDaCut on November 7, 2022 at 9:31 pm

Love my performance center 2.0 core modle

  16. Josh’s Gun Talk on November 7, 2022 at 9:32 pm

Don’t get me wrong I do love smith and Wesson. But I guarantee most people don’t know that smith and Wesson does NOT sight iron sights from the factory, they only test fire the guns. Glock uses some sort of state of the art laser system (they advertise this on their website) to sight the guns from the factory at 25 meters. So essentially the Glock guns are zeroed at 80 plus feet and are ready right out of the box.

  17. GG on November 7, 2022 at 9:33 pm

just ordered the metal today. cant wait to fire it.

  18. Reker.A on November 7, 2022 at 9:33 pm

    False

  19. Colt10mm Security on November 7, 2022 at 9:33 pm

Another gun company and gun owner that feels drawn, compelled, driven and OBSESSED with once again comparing their brand to a Glock.

    Glock, WINNING. …again.

  20. Andrew Whalley on November 7, 2022 at 9:34 pm

Yeah but …. if u were paying attention to the video. The video showed 3 diffrent weapon malfunctions. All 3 were with glocks. Glock=cheap garbage

  21. MF UNDERTOW on November 7, 2022 at 9:38 pm

Is the title of your video a statement or a question? If it’s a statement, why do you have a question mark? If it’s a question, why are you starting the title with “why”?

I’m seeing the misuse of question marks in this fashion often lately and it’s a bit silly.

  22. GunsofMassEffect on November 7, 2022 at 9:42 pm

I am a S&W person, that being said, not much of a fan of the 2.0, the trigger never mattered to me, the new frame insert 👍🏾👍🏾, the new grip texture 👍🏾👍🏾, the omitted beaver tail, sadly missed, the mag being inserted dropping the slide, even more sadly missed, the extra slide serrations a waste of money, the cuts in the front end of the frame to show the metal insert not appealing to me, it’s more negatives for me, to buy one although, I’ve been wanting a pair of the 5 inch barreled versions, which I also hate the offerings.

  23. Eric W on November 7, 2022 at 9:42 pm

    Simple they are not Glocks

  24. John Push on November 7, 2022 at 9:45 pm

Got both. Love em. The M&P is so under rated. I find it more comfortable and just as accurate and reliable as the glock.

  25. Colt10mm Security on November 7, 2022 at 9:45 pm

Remember when S&W copied Glock internal designs and got sued? Glock won and took S&W to the cleaners.

Second, Glock was NOT the first polymer gun, that distinction goes to Hk in the 70’s.

Third. The Glock Grip is for a man’s hand. Check your pants to see if you’re still a man.

Fourth. Glock slide rails are part of the slide. Glock has never had an issue if needing the “slide rails” to be replaced. How absurd.

Fifth. Nobody likes the curved M&P triggers.

Six. Good luck depressing the slide stop to release the slide. It harder than hell to use it as a slide release.

Seventh. Steel frame insert. Not needed in a Glock.

Eighth. Front slide serration on the M&P are retarded and non functional.

Nineth. The M&P has more parts to it than the Glocks. That adds to more reliability issues and parts wear.

    Tenth. Glock wins.

  26. Sandy Mitchell on November 7, 2022 at 9:46 pm

Dude Glock was not the first polymer, HK was, I own both brands and what makes the difference for me is the grip angle on the S&W feels so much better the the Glocks and tho not important feature for most is the smittys are just beautiful looking

  27. Chris Sappenfield on November 7, 2022 at 9:49 pm

What I like about Smith and Wesson is they are keeping up with the times. The Shield plus is a great carry gun. And Glock just doesn’t have a carry gun that can go toe to toe with the shield plus or p365 in that size range. Unless you want to go with the g43x with aftermarket shield mags. But they aren’t as reliable as factory mags.

  28. Nathan Sampson on November 7, 2022 at 9:53 pm

    Glock= Austria
    M&P= USA

  29. Matt on November 7, 2022 at 9:54 pm

Smith and Wesson lacks quality these days.

  30. Jon C on November 7, 2022 at 9:55 pm

Neither us better than hk or fn

  31. Sinaloa on November 7, 2022 at 9:55 pm

Bro everything is better than a Glock even Hi-points are better. How many glock generations are out there? yet they are all shit.

  32. The Rules Are Different on November 7, 2022 at 9:56 pm

    It’s not.

  33. Al babs on November 7, 2022 at 9:56 pm

I had a M&P 2.0. It is decent but better than a Glock. Nope. Glock’s perfection is in it’s simplicity.

  34. Markus Chaverrius on November 7, 2022 at 9:58 pm

I like the M&P, owned a few. The reality is that there are no M&P clones, and S&W itself was developed because of Glock, even H&K, the original polymer innovator went striker fired because of Glocks success. Glock did not invent striker fired or polymer frames But, because of Glock’s combination of the two along with marketing “schemes” to Leo’s/militaries around the globe made the entire handgun industry what it is today. I’m thankful that we have so many choices now because of companies like Glock, H&K, S&W, and many others.

  35. JustWanna LiveFree on November 7, 2022 at 9:58 pm

I’m easy. Just go bang when I pull the trigger, and don’t break if I run it hard. So both are good. Both are accurate, and they don’t punk out over a little dirt in the slide

  36. Chris Hirner on November 7, 2022 at 9:59 pm

LIke the glock for the grip angle, But love the M&P for the stainless slide and barrel. I know the coating on the glock makes it just as good, but i like the feel of the stainless.

  37. Reinier Garcia on November 7, 2022 at 10:01 pm

Everybody loves speaking trash about the Glocks. But when it comes to defend your life everybody appreciates a good old ugly bricky and RELIABLE Glock. I carry a Glock 19 everywhere, all the time. Even to the bathroom. The MP might be good, but I know my Glock is a safe bet. That “ugly” heavy brick in my holster makes me feel reasonably safe, wherever I go. I would never trust my life to any other brand, other than Glock. In God and Glock we trust.

  38. DragonsOfThunder on November 7, 2022 at 10:02 pm

SMITH AND WESSON EASILY! CAN’T WAIT TO ADD THE ALL METAL M&P 2.0 TO MY COLLECTION

  39. J Taylor on November 7, 2022 at 10:03 pm

    Own a couple of both…Love them both. M&P Shield Plus, M&P 40C, M&P10MM, Glock 17, Glock 30SF (45 & 10 barrels). Given the choice of 1, I’ll take the M&Ps all day.

  40. Thomas Dagendesh - DOC on November 7, 2022 at 10:08 pm

I can definitely make my slide drop on my M&P 2.0 .45acp by slamming a mag in. It doesn’t work every time, but more than not.

  41. Steve Goodman on November 7, 2022 at 10:10 pm

How many differently named sites will have the same commentator? Fake ass sites are so annoying

  42. Jay Ellingsen on November 7, 2022 at 10:10 pm

Define “better”. Better at what? It’s all subjective.

  43. Christopher Robert on November 7, 2022 at 10:10 pm

I love them both So I bought both

  44. Randy Tidmore on November 7, 2022 at 10:12 pm

    I have 5 different one’s so I agree

  45. Luke Vallin on November 7, 2022 at 10:13 pm

    Only one thing to consider;
    S&W offers LIFETIME WARRANTY
    Glock DOES NOT

  46. Moo Butt on November 7, 2022 at 10:14 pm

Because it’s not plastic now. This vid was way longer than it needed to be.

  47. Outerthoughts on November 7, 2022 at 10:14 pm

Why its better than a glock? What isnt better than a glock? Id take a high point over a fucking glock

  48. R S on November 7, 2022 at 10:15 pm

I’m not a professional and have no intention of carrying OWB at 3 o’clock with a strong retention. Such a rig would allow one to safely look a sidearm into the holster, as well as cover the ‘life happens’ stuff.
As a non professional, I will not carry a firearm that does not have a tactile way in f determining that it is in fact ‘safe’; either a manual safety or a DA/SA with exposed hammer.
Considering the number of people that carry with an empty chamber, I think many agree with my assessment simply by their actions.

  49. I'm Goatmunk on November 7, 2022 at 10:18 pm

Um the Glock was not the first polymer handgun. It was the first popular one though

  50. Rust E Badge on November 7, 2022 at 10:18 pm

Sorry for this extended response but……Nice video but it reminds me of how ignorant "we" really are about firearms. Neither of the two highlighted pistols are worth a dime if you’re talking about long-range competitive target shooting but both are winners if you’re talking about gun-fighting. So, general comments are just that – general. Statements about how "nice" a trigger is are irrelevant to fighting but important for target shooting. FWIW, Glock was not the first polymer pistol (late – US, Germany, Russia were using metal substitutes of resin in the 1930’s for stocks and accessories and COLT was making hard rubber grips in the 1800’s), the first striker fired (late -1800’s), the first polygonal rifling (later still – mid-1800’s), first drop/firing pin/striker safety (nope again – boring isn’t it), first high-capacity magazine (stop), first real firearm (stop it), first gun I ever bought (now we’re getting somewhere. Protecting your purchase decision). And most of our comments here are about shooting not fighting. So what is important? I carried a Glock professionally (on-duty and as a deadly-force instructor starting in 1989. I was in a revolver before that and am still very comfortable with one today). My agency transitioned from Glocks to the S&W 2.0 in 2018 and never looked back. In my opinion, the 2.0 is more natural to fire under great duress (not the running and sliding around of competitive shooting stress), is not a copy of the Glock, is easier for a fight student to learn with, and is as reliable as a ham sandwich. As I travel the nation teaching police firearms instructors, I am always pleased to see the response of those that get to use mine for a few minutes. Most of these instructors are Glock-dependent due to agency purchases and many have not had much time on other platforms. Several agencies have followed with a transition to the 2.0. It sells itself. Now, which would I pick for a gunfight? Whatever I’m holding in my hand at the time is the best gun going. Shoot what you have and enjoy it. The 2nd Amendment is big enough for everyone, regardless of your firearm choice.
