If the gun fires accurately, reliably, and consistently and does what its supposed to who cares that it has Taurus on the side. I just watched an in depth comparison between a glock 26 and the G2C. The reviewer owns 4 glocks, and rated the G2C higher in every category but two. He hated the extra manual safety, which I prefer, and he said though its a well made pistol, he doesn’t know how well it will hold up. Every other review of the G2C has been very positive but you don’t like it because it has Taurus on the side. My advice is quit being a gun snob, evaluate the gun the way you evaluate every other gun. I’m not a gun expert, but I’ve viewed and read a dozen or so reviews to educate myself before I bought this gun, and I am very pleased. BTW, I got rid of my Glock 26 a few years ago when it slam-fired when I inserted a clip and released the slide after cleaning it. Shot a hole in my bed and hardwood floor.

Since most gunfights happen at very close range, especially if inside the home, just how much accuracy do you need ? I mean, a 1” group or a 6” group… either way, you’re on target… btw, I watched your grip move around a lot. Also, do you wear those gloves in the house or on the street ? Do you wear a tac vest in those places ? …. Just sayin’….

  3. D McD on March 20, 2023 at 2:58 am

The SIg suit is going to be huge, but I will keep my G2c as it has not ever had a FtF or FtE…. not a hiccup in over 4 years… 5000 rounds later all good. Sights can be updated to Lakeland Fiber optic sights for $50….. The gun is fine and priced right.

  4. Freeheel Chandler on March 20, 2023 at 2:59 am

    What a chode.

  5. jeff duran on March 20, 2023 at 3:01 am

Absolutely love my g2c so much that I have bought 4 lol

  6. Mike Bergquist on March 20, 2023 at 3:02 am

I own the PT111 Millenium G2, took it to the range and fired 200 rds of Winchester steel ammo. No malfunctions! I’ve put 300 rds of handload 125 grain powder coated bullets through it, no problem. Another 200 rds of Fiochi FMJ, no problems. I like the pistol better than my G19X for EDC. To each their own. Great video!

  7. ZIPPER on March 20, 2023 at 3:02 am

Being way to harsh on Taurus here. Pretty much every company on the face of the earth that’s older then 20 years has fell into the wrong hands at some point. You can’t smash on a brand because of issues from years and years ago. That’s like saying I won’t buy a Harley because of the issues they had in the AMF years.

  8. Marshall Singleton on March 20, 2023 at 3:02 am

I’ve owned several Taurus pistols and all have been reliable for me. In weapons money buys quality for sure but I carry my G2 with full confidence

  9. Phú Hải Lê on March 20, 2023 at 3:03 am

i mean i push the G2C to the extreme,
600 round in single range session, not 1 single fail! then i left it UNCLEAN (intentionally) for month before i go back and put in 1000 round in 3 hour session! again, NOT A SINGLE FAIL!

  10. tim lee on March 20, 2023 at 3:05 am

I just picked 1 up with a $25 rebate for $199.95….Taurus now offers a LIFETIME warranty as well……Ive seen other videos where this G2C is quite accurate….Probably a matter of what gun shoots better for you…..

  11. J Friesz on March 20, 2023 at 3:06 am

I have a TX22 and a TH9, both reliable and I like full sized hammer fired. I agree that I would not buy the older pistols. Sigs great, but they cost at least double the Taurus, and for the duty that I put on my guns, I’m buying the Taurus.

  12. Robert Wilcox on March 20, 2023 at 3:07 am

So I bought one last week and I found out that a smith & Wesson m&p 9/40 holster will fit the g2c

  13. hilham 89 on March 20, 2023 at 3:09 am

I respect your opinion. I have had several taurus pistols and never had any issues with them, doesn’t mean if or when I get another one I won’t have any though. Like hi-point, there’s a lot of people that doesn’t like them do to the size and they jam alot and I have yet to own one but I have seen people drop them, run them over, stuff things in the barrel and still performs as it did coming out of the box. Not every gun is going to be perfect and will have there issues eventually, weather it be right out of the box or 1 year down the road. So I can’t disagree or agree with people on guns only what i know I have and how mine performs.

  14. Chris Brown on March 20, 2023 at 3:09 am

Urban Carry OW, I love mine, and fits great.

  15. Jehovah Thickness on March 20, 2023 at 3:09 am

I had to replace the extractor spring on mine, getting consistent stove pipes. But now it runs like a dream. QC seems to be an issue

    Ironside

  17. Richard Theisen on March 20, 2023 at 3:10 am

I’m hooked on the nylon holsters with the mag pouch built in.
They’re cheap, and comfortable and so what they’re supposed to do
They all have some form of strap retention.
I have an industrial sewing machine so I can modify or repair them .

  18. Savage Cam on March 20, 2023 at 3:11 am

I am getting me one when I Turn 21 witch is Next Year

  19. rcstl on March 20, 2023 at 3:11 am

1:21 Why is your glove and thump touching the slide?

  20. ThePenultimateNinja on March 20, 2023 at 3:12 am

I have a G2C and I love it. I do have a comment about the second strike capability though. I converted mine to DAO, and this necessitated swapping the striker spring out for a more powerful one, because the stock one is not strong enough to dent a primer in double-action mode.
The spring is strong enough in normal single-action mode because the striker is retracted further to engage with the single-action sear, and thus has more power behind it.
In an unmodified gun, the only time you would be firing it in double-action mode is if you used the second strike feature in case of a misfire. Perhaps the spring is strong enough to set off a primer that has already been dented by the first firing attempt, but I would not want to rely on it. The safest option is to ignore the second strike feature and just tap, rack, bang just like you would with any other pistol.

  21. Tsu Ching Liu on March 20, 2023 at 3:13 am

a reliable handgun is a good gun, it doesn’t matter it is 500 dollars or 200 dollars value, an AK47 is much less cost to make than a M16,

  22. Takingout thetrash on March 20, 2023 at 3:14 am

so its a bias review… if its not made by the hands of white-europeans its automatically inferior… just like how superior Japanese cars are compared to american junk crap cars, but it’ll always be inferior to some people no matter what, because its not made by the hands of white-europeans

smh, taurus makes damn reliable pistols… it is made exactly like a glock and have the same quality

  23. Raiban on March 20, 2023 at 3:17 am

    I love my G2C

  24. J Shepard on March 20, 2023 at 3:19 am

The Ruger EC9S 9mm is another workable budget pistol in this space. I saw one for $259 at Academy yesterday.

  25. TheRed6263 on March 20, 2023 at 3:20 am

All anyone can say is I bought it I tested it and I trust it or not.

  26. George Inazuma on March 20, 2023 at 3:22 am

Why is there music playing in the background? Didn’t your sound person object?

  27. tom parker on March 20, 2023 at 3:22 am

Funny, i did the same thing thinking there was something wrong with the triggrt, and when taken to the range a range officer pulled so hard on it when it hung up he BENT THE MECHANISM, besides the rear sight fell out,,,the Millenium. Needless to say i was pissed. Just took the G3 to the range today and i’m telling you couldn’t be more pleased. May sound like glutton for punishment but no. #1 I’ve got large hands and very comfy. #2 Balanced well. #3 2 12 rnd. mags. (actually 11 with 1 in the tube). #4 decent sights (replaceable with Nite). #5 Very afordable. #6 Wouldn’t jump off a bridge if it was gone. #7 No firing/hang up issues #8 I JUST PLAIN LIKE IT…..hows that? And would trust my life to it. I’ve had a few wea[pons BUT like they say the ones your good with right?

  28. Richard Theisen on March 20, 2023 at 3:23 am

Is accuracy really important with an EDC ?
Most situations become point and shoot, rapid fire events, at close range

  29. The Rev on March 20, 2023 at 3:23 am

To throw some fuel on the fire, I have four Taurus semi-autos, and I would carry any of those long before I would ever carry a Glock.

  30. Algio on March 20, 2023 at 3:27 am

As many people do, I love my G2c. I didn’t like the sites either, but I upgraded to tritium and haven’t looked back. I’m about $300 all in. I think the inherent distrust is a good point though, you should be confident in what you choose to edc. That said you’re great experience with the one you have combined with the experience of others should ease your mind.
For me it was all about a quality firearm on a tight budget, and I’m confident that I have just that.

  31. Tim Cunningham on March 20, 2023 at 3:30 am

Had to se d 2 sigs out for repairs, both light strikers! Love my Taurus!

  32. Dominick D'Ottavio on March 20, 2023 at 3:32 am

Just a word on the history of recalls that might stop you from buying a Taurus, consider the recalls that car companies have had and the deaths and injuries that resulted from those issues and then see what car you drive. Sometimes a big shakeup at a company can make all the difference, look at the TX22, G2, G3 and GX4 series forward.

  33. Richard Theisen on March 20, 2023 at 3:33 am

I had the 40 Cal pt111. (17 round) Smooth, flawless shooter. When it came to cleaning, I couldn’t get the slide off.
I sent it to Taurus (at my expense), where it sat for two months, until I finally called and asked, where’s my gun.
Taurus said it can’t be fixed and it’s been discontinued so they’ll send me a different gun.
they sent me the g2c 40cal (12 round). So lost capacity I originally payed for.
And Taurus surely never mentioned a class action suit, so I lost out on the too.
I have to say, their guns are for the most part reliable, and comfortable enough to shoot, and cheap.
But I felt like the customer service was a bit sketchy.
    Gotta love judge guns tho.

  34. tim lee on March 20, 2023 at 3:33 am

I’m curious…..When you had a failure to fire, did you try the double strike capability of the gun?

  35. Matthew Slaughter on March 20, 2023 at 3:35 am

    Uncle Mike holster, cheap universal

  36. Colby Dobbs on March 20, 2023 at 3:38 am

  37. Savage Cam on March 20, 2023 at 3:39 am

I would want to Get a OWB/IWB compatible Holster for it tho.

  38. Koalition Recordz on March 20, 2023 at 3:39 am

I just got a g2c and have yet to shoot it yet…I’m ready to go the range

  39. Kevin Carson on March 20, 2023 at 3:39 am

I used to have the millenium pro and it was great. I now carry the G2C and it is a great gun. No issues with it other than I would like to change triggers, but even that isn’t that bad. Recommend it to anyone, regardless of how much money they have to spend

  40. cuda40 * on March 20, 2023 at 3:41 am

I own around six Taurus pistols all have been reliable older models and newer models. Pt92 especially has been outstanding.

  41. Romeo Bramble on March 20, 2023 at 3:42 am

Hey a sccy 9 saved my life

  42. rebelray84 on March 20, 2023 at 3:44 am

  44. DyllyBar on March 20, 2023 at 3:50 am

I respect your opinion but I enjoy my g2c, keep making good videos brother.

  45. Wil G. on March 20, 2023 at 3:51 am

So how many rounds do you have to run to consider something reliable?

  46. SJ on March 20, 2023 at 3:53 am

FFS – all of the crap links in the description and no links to the other videos?

  47. eternaltonality on March 20, 2023 at 3:53 am

I think what everyone is missing here is that he recommended the taurus if you are on a tight budget. I think the takeaway here is to spend what you have and train to protect your family with what you have. Yes he called to question what everyone is thinking which is that taurus has yet to redeem their name from their failings in the past. But he also says that the taurus out performs other guns in its price point. This isnt about comparing tonic water to Champaign it is about selecting the best defence pistol that you can feasibly afford. People need to pull the wedgies out of their dungerees and live their own life.

  48. Jerrod Dooley on March 20, 2023 at 3:53 am

My Taurus pistols have been 100% reliable and as far as holsters, I find them anywhere I look. R&R has them too. They also fit in my Glock holsters

  49. BornNo.1 on March 20, 2023 at 3:55 am

After over a 1000 rounds with no problems yeah I trust it
