  2. theoriginalOSOK on February 5, 2023 at 1:55 am

I’m good with the rubber grips that came on my 605…. but those look nice. And does the ugly gun feel bad? Just checking.

  3. STEVE P on February 5, 2023 at 1:58 am

    I like Houge Grips.

  4. Joe on February 5, 2023 at 1:59 am

Taurus really needs to do something about that grip roll pin. On most firearms after the first few taps they come right out, but you’ll break a sweat on a Taurus.

  5. Simple Man on February 5, 2023 at 1:59 am

    Hi Greg,
Great video content as always.. I purchased my 1st Taurus Revolver a month ago, although I haven’t shot it yet. I bought the recently new addition to the 856 line, the Executive .38 special (6 shot) bobbed hammer 3 inch barrel. I didn’t care for the square butt grips so I found a pair of VZ G-10 ones to replace them with and I believe it will be much better for concealing

You still at the career center????

  7. Mike Reese on February 5, 2023 at 2:01 am

    Awesome looking grips.

  8. Mr. Sirhoffer on February 5, 2023 at 2:02 am

"Every gun makes its own tune." Great movie, love the grips. And remember, "when you have to shoot, shoot. Don’t talk."

  9. TheScottishAmerican on February 5, 2023 at 2:04 am

Even on some the grips you can buy here they’ll be slight modifications needed sometimes, when things are made off a mold they’ll always be the potential for slight error

  10. Marie-NoΓ«lle Baechler on February 5, 2023 at 2:07 am

Thank you very much for this fine video. With these grips, you made your Taurus revolvers look even nicer. Best regards

  11. Sammy Prestwood on February 5, 2023 at 2:07 am

The Good The bad and The ugly one of my favorite Clint Eastwood movies by the way I’ve seen it several times

  12. Scott Kirner on February 5, 2023 at 2:12 am

    The G, the B and the U
I have bought various Grip Stocks from Thailand…….the worst were the Beretta 92s and possibly the CZ82 having been the best quality

  15. Marc Thomas on February 5, 2023 at 2:14 am

When you said Angel Eyes, I thought maybe. When you said Tuco, I was really sure. When Blondie came out, I chuckled and knew 100%. πŸ˜„ Good looking grips and good little revolvers. Great shooting Greg!

  16. Danger Man on February 5, 2023 at 2:15 am

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. None of those revolvers qualify as ugly, though….

  17. RE:Desert_Boy on February 5, 2023 at 2:16 am

Thanks for sharing as always. Nice looking grips. Fine shooting Greg! Always appreciate the defensive situation enactments to keep us all thinking. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. All 3 men fascinating renditions of human character. Be safe and well sir!

  18. Rick Rude on February 5, 2023 at 2:18 am

Can you use the same type of speedloader with the Taurus 856 that you can use with the Taurus 82?

  19. Locks Bog on February 5, 2023 at 2:19 am

The G B & U lol great stuff Greg! I’d keep a close eye on that bad guy infestation though, they multiply fast and need be kept in check. πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒβœŒοΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

  20. Axel on February 5, 2023 at 2:20 am

The factory rubber grip that Taurus puts on these revolvers isn’t bad, but it’s a pain to take off if you want something else.

  21. Aaron Cavazos on February 5, 2023 at 2:21 am

The good the bad and the ugly! Very cool names for some revolvers.

  22. Carlo Parisi on February 5, 2023 at 2:22 am

Tuco, when he shoots he won’t talk! Nice shooting Greg, especially the two from the hip.

  23. Trevor Jepkema on February 5, 2023 at 2:24 am

One of the best The good the bad and the ugly

  24. Joe Campana on February 5, 2023 at 2:25 am

I’d like to see you do something with a possible carjacking?? That would be awesome!

  25. Fudmottin on February 5, 2023 at 2:25 am

I’m impressed by your collection there. How long do you reckon before you have one for each day of the week? πŸ˜‰

When I still had my 2 and 1/4 inch SP101 .357, I switched out the stock grips for the Pachmyr Renegade smooth grips. The top of both grips didn’t even come close to fitting. I had to use a dremel to get them sort of lined up. I’ve since switched to an S&W model 60. So far, I’ve stuck with the factory rubber grips. They feel good, and are extremely serviceable. Still yet, the wood calls out to me.😝

  27. Grant Ray on February 5, 2023 at 2:27 am

I do like wood grips over rubber grips. Very perrrrrty grips.

  28. AC- 65 on February 5, 2023 at 2:28 am

Tuco: "When you have to shoot, shoot, don’t talk" Blondie: "There are those with loaded guns, and those who dig .. you dig." From 1966 classic "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"

  29. Steve 1955 on February 5, 2023 at 2:31 am

I put wood with the Pearl bottoms on mine. I shoot it better than with the rubber ones and I can take it to a Barbecue

  30. Brian Ferguson on February 5, 2023 at 2:32 am

I was having issues getting the roll pin out of my 605 so I just cut the grip off with a sharp knife and then pulled the roll pin out easily with pliers.
The new grip I got didn’t need the roll pin reinstalled. I got the viridian laser grip. Much bigger than original and very soft. Makes shooting 357 a dream. Not as concealable but it’s ok.
Gotta say tho…those wood grips sure do look πŸ‘.

  31. Dale Staben on February 5, 2023 at 2:33 am

I have the grips from Thailand on my 1954 chiefs special really love them they fit perfectly

  32. Michael Smith on February 5, 2023 at 2:34 am

The Good The Bad an The Ugly ! A favorite of mine.

  33. Edward Petty on February 5, 2023 at 2:35 am

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

  34. Jeff Paul on February 5, 2023 at 2:35 am

Nice video Greg! I have the standard stainless 856 and the 605, and just bought a 3 inch 856. love the taurus 856’s!

  35. Marty McGill on February 5, 2023 at 2:37 am

My 856 with factory rubber grips pinched my finger badly when I pulled the trigger. I had to trim the grip with a razor to tolerate it. I would be afraid to put any money into wooden grips and end up having to butcher them. Great video Greg.

  36. Len S on February 5, 2023 at 2:37 am

    Nice grips!

  37. Justin Gilmer on February 5, 2023 at 2:38 am

I ended up getting a set of the eBay grips from Thailand. They are great on my 605!

  38. Bruce D. on February 5, 2023 at 2:39 am

Good, the bad and the ugly πŸ€£πŸ‘

  39. Roy's Place on February 5, 2023 at 2:42 am

Lion thanks to your video I made the Thailand grip purchase. Alot better grip for me on my .605 Taurus

  40. Screaming Nighthog on February 5, 2023 at 2:43 am

One set of grips seemed to be GOOD, while another was not too BAD and none of them were UGLY. Another nice presentation with good shooting.

  41. Michael Schaffer on February 5, 2023 at 2:43 am

I just installed some Pachmayr Renegade grips on my 856. They’re Rosewood and fit the gun and my hand very well. The pin was easy to hand install.

  42. Mike Sisley on February 5, 2023 at 2:44 am

The pocket revolver is the standard summer carry gun in HOT South Texas, has been for a while. These small guns are "get off me" guns. That scenario you portrayed, Greg, is what I feel is the most likely type of scenario one might encounter. Anything is possible, true. However, in threat assessment, you really want to focus on most probable or likely. Three "yutes" (Joe Pesci, My Cousin Vinnie) trying to rob you? Very probable and likely these days. Also, very good point ref being able to draw the gun from pocket carry with a smoother textured grip! Spot on. Rubber will hang up, which is bad for you.

Doing your videos and working through these scenarios are very good illustrations of theory vs reality. Sometimes the two can be very far apart. Small things like which grip, might make ALL the difference in the world! Train, stay safe, stay alert, and God bless.

  43. Steve Cobritti on February 5, 2023 at 2:44 am

Lee Van Cleef is one of my favorite actors. But second to blondie Clint Eastwood.

  44. timbo749 on February 5, 2023 at 2:44 am

Hi Greg, I just got an 856 and it has the cylinder rotation issue everybody is reporting, do you this issue with any of your 856’s?

  45. Joe P on February 5, 2023 at 2:47 am

Great names and a great movie!!! I have always had wooden grips on my carry revolvers.. They come out of the pocket without issue, and they don’t snag shirts when carrying IWB. Years ago, I spent $70 each x 4 for Eagle Grips for my carry LCR’s…they are the best grips I’ve ever owned, and I’m glad I outfitted everything back then, as they now run a mind-boggling $189 each !!!!! Thanks Greg!!

  46. nutthrower on February 5, 2023 at 2:49 am

I love my Taurus revolver, but what’s your feelings on a .22 Auto for carry around town?
I’ll always rely on my 605 but just wanted to pick your brain . Thanks

  47. Steve Cobritti on February 5, 2023 at 2:49 am

    Beautiful grips .

  48. Lance Kelly on February 5, 2023 at 2:51 am

πŸ‘πŸ‘nice looking grips and some good shooting also.

  49. Sammy Prestwood on February 5, 2023 at 2:52 am

Those factory rubber grips will kill the palm of your hand in a 605 if you shoot Remington 158 grain Jacketed hollow points but they shoot well with the Winchester white box 110 grain bullets I know that from experience of shooting them in my 605 the gun can handle them but talk about murder on the palm of your hands with the 158 grain as always thank you for the video update I enjoy watching them

  50. SHEP2 AZ on February 5, 2023 at 2:53 am

Good the Bad and the Ugly. Tuco loved his revolvers watched all the old westerns with my dad
