Taurus TX22 Competition SCR — Editor’s Pick For the Best Rimfire Handgun

Taurus TX22 Competition SCR — Editor’s Pick For the Best Rimfire Handgun

Few firearms are as enjoyable as a good rimfire pistol. Not only are they fun to shoot but they’re also practical and can be quite versatile. Taurus’ new TX22 Competition SCR fits the description well, and it’s a big part of why it won the Editor’s Pick award in the F&S 2022 Handgun Test. As the name—SCR—suggests, the TX22 is “Steel Challenge Ready.” This means it should satisfy any desires for competition you may have. But this pistol can also be used for small game hunting, recreational plinking, and training.

I’m new to shooting , had a Glock 44, did not like , got the TX22 competition, fast fire 4 , Tandum Cross Pro. I’m new to red dots. Just earned my NRA WINCHESTER metals . Never used red dot & hit 10 in a 3 “ circle in 6secs. AWESOME GUN!!!!

I’ve had mine a year now. Love it. Very reliable and very accurate. Mine came with three 16 round mags and I bought the compensator afterwards. Interesting they are including it now. I can’t understand why they gave you two 10 rounders. Very odd.

Just snagged one for $430. Can’t wait to throw a dot on it and use it as a host for a suppressor.

I think I’d go with the Sig P322 instead.

On a 600 round run only 1 round not malfunction an it was ammo related. Best 22lr pistol I’ve ever used have around 1500 total round shot maybe 3 to 5 malfunctions total.
