Glock 44 in 22lr is a PIECE OF JUNK but this tx22 by taurus is an awsome 22lr gun

  3. Joe Gondo on April 9, 2023 at 3:24 am

Yep..keep moving the pistol around as you speak so we can get dizzy🤪

  4. John Bowes on April 9, 2023 at 3:25 am

What brand of .22 ammo do you shoot through your TX22? Those who say "My TX22 will eat ANY ammo that I put through it", I say BS. I’m getting ready to throw my TX away – it’s so unreliable with stovepipe/FTF/FTE. I’ve tried American Eagle, Winchester M*22 and Aguila. Oddly enough, the Aquila went through the TX22 the best – with 3 failures in 200 rounds. The Winchester was horrible, with an astounding 25% feed/eject/fire failures.
I polished the feed ramp (where the flat nosed ammo hung up) and took the magazine apart and cleaned and lubed it with dry lube. I’m going to the gun show on Saturday to pick up a couple of boxes of different brands of ammo and see if my TX is TOO picky with ammo. I can’t find CCI ammo anywhere here, so hopefully I can get my hands on some at the show.

Bought mine a few days ago. $250 out the door. Fired a brick of Aguila Standard Velocity. Zero misfeeds. Great accuracy. Great review.

Thanks for your great review of the Taurus TX22. The 16 round magazine capacity was the first feature to catch my eye. After noticing that I noticed a good number of positive reviews and purchased one at a good price. I have a good number of Taurus firearms the first being a PT99 made in 1986 that I purchased in the mid 90s. Since then I’ve acquired 3 Taurus revolvers and several of their pistols. All have given me excellent service; reliable and accurate. I’m eager to put my new TX22 through its paces.

  14. Stephen Karlsen on April 9, 2023 at 3:36 am

I love mine, I purchased the wing man +5 mag extensions and 2 more mags. Now I have to buy 22lr all the time. I’ve got a monkey on my back. Recently purchased the tandem cross eagle eye sights for it and they took it to the next level. Great review. Thankyou and God bless

  15. Chris Hirner on April 9, 2023 at 3:37 am

I must have looked at this gun 5 times before i finally bought it. On the bench especially when new its not too impressive. But then i found my friend had one. I shot one mag and went to the store that day to buy it. Turns out that gritty slide and cheap feel goes away pretty quick. 400 rounds and a little grease on the slide and it feels as premium as any other 22 pistol exept for my mark IV but thats a different class all together.

  16. Rick Gonzales on April 9, 2023 at 3:37 am

I just purchased mine here in the state of Oregon and it has the 16 mag.
And I bought it for 229.00.

  17. Stephen Kidder on April 9, 2023 at 3:37 am

I just started shooting mine and your video is spot on! Great video as usual and I highly recommend the tx22 for a great day of shooting!

  18. Mohammed Cohen on April 9, 2023 at 3:37 am

I like Eric Bana’s line in Blackhawk Down.."This is MY safety, sir…"

  19. Hutzjohn on April 9, 2023 at 3:39 am

This review is all good and well BUT you shooting a 8 inch diameter steel plate is WORTHLESS — put a squirrel or rabbit target on your steel plate and show us how far you can them — show us if the TX22 is a worthwhile trail, hiking, or survival tool that will put meat in the pot if needed! ISN’T THAT THE MAIN REASON TO HAVE A .22? Please do the same with the PMR30 if you could.

  24. Marcelo Julião on April 9, 2023 at 3:42 am

Why a lot of people say this is not a good gun to be your only gun because it’s no good for self defense?

A guy once told me that he carries a 22LR as his everyday pistol, and if needed , he will put 6 or 7 rounds bullseye, where a guy with a 9mm will hit one or 2 at the most.

He told me that a 22LR would probably not kill a grizzly, but will kill a person as good as a 9mm, because precision is a key factor when you’re in a stressful situation defending yourself.

In this review we can clearly see the precision the TX22 has, its impressive!

So considering the precision you get from a good 22LR, why almost everybody says it’s not good for self defense? I’ll really wanted to rear some thoughts about this topic…

  25. Pablo Sluggo on April 9, 2023 at 3:43 am

I think it’s a little overhyped. It’s rare that I can burn through a 16 round mag without a stovepipe , or failure to feed.

  26. Dr. Less Character on April 9, 2023 at 3:44 am

Impressive review, I subscribed after it!

  27. Jonathan Hill on April 9, 2023 at 3:44 am

Such a good gun for plinking. Love the full size grip.

Throw away one camera. I’m getting dizzy watching you look back & forth, back & forth, back & forth. Please , you always have great content. But I’m getting drunk, I would love to be able to watch. No I’m not drinking. Thanks for listening to me rant.

  34. DUI Survivor on April 9, 2023 at 3:54 am

Cant get these in California….cali sucks….

  35. Michael Terlecky on April 9, 2023 at 3:57 am

You keep saying it’s a rimfire. I believe that’s a striker fire pistol

  36. Dan Caron on April 9, 2023 at 4:00 am

I just bought one today…..Hope mine runs like yours!!

  37. Zach on April 9, 2023 at 4:00 am

Bought 1 today $416 out the door. It does have a flag printed on the slide but it was $389 plus tax. The only 1 I have seen and been looking for over a year, and the last 1 they had. At the gun show and the only 1 there.

    0:00 Use the force Luke

  39. WV591 on April 9, 2023 at 4:05 am

Awesome accurate and what a fun gun. Too bad the mags are plastic . sights could be better also but not a showstopper. A blind person can shoot this and score.

  40. Ted Arnette on April 9, 2023 at 4:06 am

Bought the tx22 the day before seeing this video and can’t wait to go shoot it

  41. John Pel on April 9, 2023 at 4:06 am

I took mine to the range today. Awesome pistol. No Issues at all. I go get me another one tomorrow. Thanks for a great review.

  42. Frederic Hartell on April 9, 2023 at 4:08 am

What grain cci ammo did you start with?

  43. Kirk McCool on April 9, 2023 at 4:14 am

An indexing point for your index finger imagine that. I ordered one 4 days ago.

  44. BlackHeart Gaming on April 9, 2023 at 4:14 am

    I love this video

  45. Frank Napolitano on April 9, 2023 at 4:16 am

I tried it at my local FFL. It’s a good shooter but I don’t like the Walther Style expanded "Dogleg" or Hump in the grip. The Ruger SR22, although it has a much better Walther P99-P22 V1 "Dogleg", it is located in the correct place and is much more ergonomic and much more comfortable. IMO. :>)

  46. Charles Froeder on April 9, 2023 at 4:18 am

What eyewear do you have on in this video?

  47. star gazer293 on April 9, 2023 at 4:20 am

do you need to manually release the slide after inserting a fresh mag?

  48. The Old Shooter on April 9, 2023 at 4:21 am

We saw three of these guns today at three different shops. At one shop it was $400. It was the model with the silver etching or whatever that stuff is and a small shop that does not buy in volume. We then saw it a Field And Stream…all black…for $350. We ended up purchasing it at Academy for $299. The only downside is finding extra mags. Impossible.

  49. Craptastic13 on April 9, 2023 at 4:22 am

The only .22LR that matches the TX in terms of mag capacity is Kel-Tec’s P17. P17 is nearly half the price, but you get half the quality and reliability because Kel-Tec guns are all made of paper.

  50. Kurt Lytle on April 9, 2023 at 4:22 am

I purchased this gun today to teach my daughter how to shoot. Feeling good about the decision. Thanks for a quality video!
