  2. salinagrrrl69 on February 23, 2023 at 2:21 am

Notta range gun. Notta gun 4 a big hand man. Training. Practice. Fauk the sites! Meant 4 quick close quarter wounding or kylling. OK for me a woman. NOT A RANGE GUN! F THOSE SITES! WHO NEEDS THEM?

I love my TCP. It has been accurate, reliable and eats everything I feed it. I am sorry but it is not crappy. There may be a problem with the shooter.

  5. Sun Son on February 23, 2023 at 2:26 am

Love this little pistol and carry it as a backup daily. Never had ANY issues with it. Bought it used. The sights are atrocious though. Other than that, it works as a last resort.

  6. kayok07 on February 23, 2023 at 2:26 am

I’d say cops probably run into more backup gun uses in fact I’m betting in the early days of wonder 9s that were unreliable 38s were definitely deployed but as a rule 1 gun a 380 isn’t bad but I’d want a reliable one

  7. Ashley Patterson on February 23, 2023 at 2:26 am

    Its a back up…..

  8. Steve Berry on February 23, 2023 at 2:26 am

What an awful review. This has been a great backup and CC pistol for me. VERY reliable functioning, comfortable grip. I can’t remember the last time it failed to fire

  9. Gerald Bodnar on February 23, 2023 at 2:28 am

It’s not a range gun ! Up close and personal !

  10. Rick Lynn on February 23, 2023 at 2:29 am

Mine has served me well. Never had a problem of any kind with my tcp. Had it for years. It’s still in my current rotation!

  11. DJ on February 23, 2023 at 2:29 am

Hmm,,,,mines 5yrs old. Shoots reliable and where I point it. Have carried it pocket for years shot probably near 1000rnds thru it.
Not a primary weapon by any means but it’s a solid pocket carry bug.

  12. mannis8000 on February 23, 2023 at 2:30 am

    Not good advice

  13. mannis8000 on February 23, 2023 at 2:31 am

Jeez guys, it isn’t a competition gun. Carry this is better than yelling at them.

  14. W. S. on February 23, 2023 at 2:31 am

My sister bought it and i hated it after testing it. The shells casings hit you in the face as your shooting it. She let me have it not too long ago. 😕

  15. Gunk on February 23, 2023 at 2:35 am

    For under $200.00 it’s a gut gun. No more no less…at 10 yards…nope more like 10 feet

  16. American 🇺🇸 on February 23, 2023 at 2:36 am

I have a pinky extension on mine and talon grips. Love it!

  17. doktorb3at on February 23, 2023 at 2:41 am

You have to practice/learn to let the trigger reset all the way to avoid the "malfunction". You can also replace the Taurus hammer block with one fron Keltec (?) to eliminate this problem. I have no problem with mine and I also have a couple of factory eight round magazines just in case. As a matter of fact, if you ask gun store owners who rent out pocket pistols on their range, the Taurus 738 TCP has the LEAST amount of problems compared to S&W, Ruger, etc

  18. Ryan D on February 23, 2023 at 2:41 am

Great go to church, super market, Costco gun. Small, works for me. Use a bigger gun when I’m ghetto hopping. As for these interviews, big and thuggish isn’t the fault of the gun. You can criticize without sounding like a third grade drop out.

  19. Kenneth Allison on February 23, 2023 at 2:42 am

I bought a tcp 9 years ago to carry on long run’s while training for a marathon. It’s sole purpose was for aggressive stray dogs.

  20. Alvin Stone on February 23, 2023 at 2:42 am

Mine shoot well, lil white nail polish on front sight walaa

  21. Justin Edwards on February 23, 2023 at 2:42 am

The only Taurus pistols I suggest to people is the G3 and G2 series. I own other Taurus pistols but I’d never carry them. They’re literally just range pistols.

  22. Nonja Ninja on February 23, 2023 at 2:45 am

The styling was cool on these though. They should bring them back in an improved version.

  23. Paul Goerk on February 23, 2023 at 2:46 am

Sorry You are not into this gun – – I love it – – Never a problem with a limp wrist malfunction

  24. S L on February 23, 2023 at 2:52 am

I have one and it was kind of shaky at feeding at first particularly with hollow points. However, it eats S&B FMJs like a champ. It is also quite accurate for a small gun. I do not mind the sites either except they would be useless at night because they are black. I like it now that I only feed it FMJs. It is extremely concealable and the recoil does not seem bad to me. I carry a bigger and better gun most of the time (M&P), but if I wanted a second backup gun then this one is not bad (maybe I have toddler hands?). Oh, and I like it way better than the SCCY. That gun is unreliable and horribly inaccurate.

  25. Selfdefender on February 23, 2023 at 2:55 am

Just bought one, same issues, hope, they will clear after brake in period.

  26. Dave Henning on February 23, 2023 at 2:56 am

Love mine. I have had mine for 6 years, love it. Never fails. Its a small gun for deep/pocket concealment. You’re too hard on it….

  27. David Bennett on February 23, 2023 at 2:56 am

I’ve had one of those for a long time. Its not what I use for a edc but I have good shot placement and grouping with it.

  28. El Mencho on February 23, 2023 at 2:57 am

    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  29. John K on February 23, 2023 at 2:57 am

Its a "small" handgun! Its for ultra conceal! If you could put your pinky finger on it you probably couldnt put it it your pocket. Most pocket carry guns have small sights machined into frame or slide..so as to not snag! Its your job as a so called "professional" to instruct people on the DIFFERENT types of guns and their strengths and weaknesses! Maybe you shouldnt emphasize shooting anyone beyond a few yards as it will probably get someone arrested!

  30. bruce tec on February 23, 2023 at 2:57 am

This gun has a great trigger for a micro pistol. It’s a pocket pistol without a safety why would you want a light and short trigger. Over 10k rounds and not one malfunction.

  31. Joseph Funaro on February 23, 2023 at 2:57 am

Have had the Keltec, the LCP, the TCP, all ran well, went bang, Loved the concealment.

  32. Malo 427 on February 23, 2023 at 2:58 am

    Y’all complain worse than women.

  33. Bigfootsbrother05 on February 23, 2023 at 3:00 am

Shot that gun so much I wore out the aluminum frame, I reamed out the take down pin hole to .187 and made a new pin.

  34. Daylyn Lane on February 23, 2023 at 3:02 am

    I just carry spare mag’s

  35. Chuck Bridgeland on February 23, 2023 at 3:04 am

specialized, for when nothing larger can be carried.

All the criticisms apply in general to all the Kel-Tec P3AT knockoffs/copies/"homages" that were popular a decade ago.

  36. cra2 cra2 on February 23, 2023 at 3:07 am

Talking about the 380 ammo not being hot in such a short barrel, and talking about dropping a round (if you short stroke it) and not having enough on a "bad day"….. where do you guys live – in the slums of Rio? Show me a batch of videos from the U.S. where any more than 2 or 3 shots were fired before the conflict was over. In fact, a .22 LR is considered the highest percentage "one shot stop" ammo, statistically (per many reports). I like that you’re pointing out the long trigger pull – that will make me consider other guns. But don’t push the apocalyptic fear mongering when reviewing backup pocket guns…. or any guns, for that matter. Unless you’re outfitting law enforcement/military consumers in 3rd world countries.

  37. Mr MD on February 23, 2023 at 3:07 am

You told us why you don’t like it and don’t recommend it, but you didn’t tell us what you do recommend in place of it. I bought one of these a long time ago after researching what I could find out about it. Some people love it and consider it the best one in it’s class at the time, others didn’t like it for different reasons. Most, if not all, your criticisms are solvable. Today, 380 ACP modern defense ammo is now available in very capable self-defense ballistic performance that with correct shot placement can be very effective in self-defense for most self defense cases. Taurus has a life warranty if it malfunctions and is not due to user or maintenance error. People with large hands tend to not like these little micro 380 pistols, but Pearce Grip and Garrison Grip do sell pinky magazine extensions for this pistol. A drop of paint on the front sight can help with iron sight sight picture. The trigger is actually better than the Ruger LCP at the time. If the buyer misses a good one out of the box, just contact Taurus and they will make it right and the buyer will have a reliable lightweight micro 380 with a lifetime warranty at an excellent price. What do you recommend instead?

  38. Michael Ratliff on February 23, 2023 at 3:08 am

    Mine runs perfect..never jammed..over 500 rnds..Carry it every day..you are full of sh t..

  39. Orlandparkcounselors on February 23, 2023 at 3:08 am

I love it when you trash small pistols like the LCP and such because it makes me look good. Although I am not a Taurus fan, and only have one Taurus that does not jam, I am a huge fan of small guns for non-permissive environments. Now regular carry I love my Sig P320 with a huge Olight. But when you can not carry in a holster the next best thing is deep carry. I just ran the "Dickens" drill today with my new LCP Max. Cold bore first time shooting it. Had to wipe off the silicone that Ruger packs it in. Luckily, I am apparently as good a shot as Mr. Dickens. John, just because you need a 5′ sight radius for accuracy, does not mean the rest of us do. Further, nobody buys these guns and runs them stock. Just like your glock bois and VP9 Bois, we modify them to be better. That is what makes Ben Volio who he is. So yes, metal guide rods that dont flex, modified triggers, sure of course. And a 12 round extended mag that allows me to get my pinky on? yep. And when Hyve puts their new re-designed mag extensions, I will have 14 +1 in a gun that is 10.7 ounces unloaded, 13.5 loaded. And as for "no other option" when you are in a non-permissive environment like a hospital or a school, if there is an active shooter and you are sitting there with a harsh word and a sharp stick, you can shelter barricade with me and I will save your life.

  40. davis davis on February 23, 2023 at 3:10 am

you need to extend your ear muffs to make them bigger

  41. Dave on February 23, 2023 at 3:10 am

They don’t know what they’re doing.

  42. tarhillbilly on February 23, 2023 at 3:12 am

ive had nothing but issues with mine with cycling it will fire 2 out of 6 i have to eject the rest or push the slide forward all the way cuz it wont do it on its own an thats freshly cleaned and lubed. this gun will get u killed its not reliable at all. wouldnt recommend it to anyone for any purpose.

  43. Red Salamander on February 23, 2023 at 3:15 am

Mine works every time! It’s small and works, what the heck do you want?

  44. Just1American1966 on February 23, 2023 at 3:16 am

Was there a point to this? If so, can someone drop the time at which it begins? Everything mentioned applies to literally dozens of guns, not just this one specific model.

  45. Joe M. on February 23, 2023 at 3:17 am

I’ve fired close to 200 rounds through mine and had maybe 3 malfunctions. Not a bad gun overall. The concealability of this gun was the main selling point for me, as my job doesn’t allow firearms – I needed to hide it. Looking to upgrade soon as this is my first "better than nothing" carry.

  46. Bert on February 23, 2023 at 3:17 am

My tcp would not load the last hollow point. It ran FMJ no problem. Sent it to Taurus and it’s cycles through hollow and fmj just fine now. As for the sights, WTH? ARE THEY TRYING TO SNIPE WITH THIS GUN? Seems these guys just hate on micros. You have to find the right size gun for yourself.

  47. sycamorebacker1 on February 23, 2023 at 3:18 am

You need three fingers on the grip to shoot? What a load!

  48. Ashley Patterson on February 23, 2023 at 3:18 am

Woow really it’s like that….wow i love my tcp

  49. flyin2low2c on February 23, 2023 at 3:19 am

Why would you need 2 hands to fire it ? LOL ! You can get a mag extension for it also plus a laser. Maybe you should watch videos of someone who knows how to use it.

  50. Alvin Stone on February 23, 2023 at 3:19 am

The ideal of such a small gun is a close quarters, get off me gun. I ran a couple boxes of white and Winchester, NO PROBLEMS.
