I bought my 66 used for $95 in 1987. It is an accurate pistol. I have had the yoke move just a 1/16” and keep the cylinder from hitting the barrel. Thank you so much! The bottom screw was worn on the end like this one. 2 of three were loose as well. I swapped the bottom screw with one of the other unworn screw. Thanks again for your assistance. My pistol does not have the detention spring that you pushed with the Allen wrench. It had a notch in the top of the plate.

Should i load 5 or 6 in this revolver? Is it drop safe?

After applying the plate, it still crashes for me, the splitter with the trigger does not work

damn I lost the front screw on the right side there! Any easy way to replace? Just get a similar model from the hardware store?

The plate didn;t set flush, and when the next shoot everything was flush. What did I miss because everything worked but didn’t set right like my problem

Thank you for showing and sharing this video! I realize that it was made in 2013 but I needed this today, 12/28/17, because I’m getting the hammer, trigger, cylinder release mechanism and cylinder assembly cerakoted in gold. Cool that your video is still relevant many years later!

Thanks for an EXCELLENT instructive and informative video… great work . This will be especially helpful when I pick up my "new to me" 3" blue 66 … I’ll just have to take it apart and look at the "innards" and Mark Levin is the greatest .. and No swearing …. awesome..

I made some grips for several of my old cowboy guns the word you looking for is escutcheons pronounced es – cush – ins I had a hell of a time with it too my local GS owner told me how to say it LOL thanx again for an interesting video!

Nice fix, why didn’t you fire it?

Very nice video I have this Model of Taurus. Do you have a video on how to adjust the trigger pull on this model. It looked just like mine is now and it has a very heavy trigger pull almost too heavy for tight groups.

I have one that looks exactly like that except it has a 4" barrel, I bought it back around late 1981 or early 1982.  Just shot it today, still a great gun.  It’s not under the modern Taurus warranty, it pre-dated that company buying them out.

Thanks. I didn’t have time to mess with filming it but I did fire it.

This is late and off topic but I am missing the two pins in the grip and can’t find replacements anywhere. Does anyone know the measurements of those two pins so I can “make” news ones. Sensing about 7/8th inch length and 7/64 width based on crude measurement taking. Don’t have pin to actually measure ! Thanks

  19. TDCtactical on April 3, 2023 at 4:13 am

No need, and I didn’t have time to get to the range before it needed to be returned

y not just send it back to Taurus ??
