My issue is after i rack the slide and load the chamber, the traditional re-rack jams up to where it wont eject the round. I have to put much more force into pulling the slide back where it finally breaks loose and the round falls out. Any ideas fellas (& ladies)?
Why u racking slow ? Hope you aren’t in a self defense situation lmao
Without even considering other variables, makes sense that this could happen if you don’t properly sling shot the slide. Just like you could have a stove pipe issue if you limp wrist firing.
Great feedback, definitely was able to get it to load but after first shot it jams again, the gun is brand new, so you think I need to polish?
Hello, i just came across this video. I have a taurus g2, g3c,and g3. My g3c has same issue but mine would hang up upon slide release when swapping mags if i had full 13 rounds in it. I was also using sig v crown. I actually polished feed ramp and noticed the round was actually hanging up on the lower ramp area in handle right before the barrel feed ramp. Its seems to work much better after polishing that as well. I think the spring pressure and the angle of bullet from 13th round in mag had some factor in hanging up.
Ok, here is the solution.
DON’T BABY YOUR GUNS!
AR15’s do it, sigs, glocks, berettas do it, all guns do it. They are not designed to be babied.
Solution is don’t buy cheap guns to protect yourself
Many if not all auto will do this if you chamber a round that slow. Lock the slide back and install the mag. Release the the slide. I bet it chambers a round perfect every time.
It also pushes the bullet down into the case further. Can the bullet being pushed in further be dangerous or will it fire just fine?
He said almost never has a failure afterwards. I bought a shield plus 4 months ago and have about 1800 rounds of steel and brass of every ammo manufacturer you can think of with not one failure. You get what you pay for.
Beautiful g3c by the way just practice racking no slow sickle fast pull it back and let that slide go my friend
Worked for me!
Just wrack it correctly pull the slide back and let it sling back you got this mine jams on hollow points sometimes too but rack it right pull in hard let it sling shot back
I just took the full size g3 to the range today for the first time. After about 130 rounds it began to FTF when firing. With ball ammo!! I’m not very pleased. I’ll taker home and polish the feed ramp, but I’m suspecting the guide rod spring should be a little stiffer.
Polish the feed ramp and if you want you can also polish the barrel all on the outside it will run smoothly, just don’t get polisher inside of the barrel.
Why are you riding the slide FWD, pull back and let it rip. I hope you are not calling this a gun channel…..jeez.
That 2:19 is how it is always supposed to be. Don’t go slow.
Mine does the same damn thing! Very annoying. I don’t EDC with it anymore.
The feed ramp on the g3c is angled a little Sharp but more importantly the Sig V crowns having extremely sharp nose intend to catch on feed ramps that are angled a bit Sharp so it’s really more of a v-crown issue than it is a Taurus issue I’ve had issues with v crowns on other guns
I had to sand down the edge of my feed ramp to take the very bottom ledge down due to the barrel canting in the pistol upon charging it into battery…I then polished the feed ramp and it now feeds everything including the synec coated rounds ..which did not feed what so ever. ..yup it’s a bad design…if you guys would..just lock your slide back and then move your barrel up and down and you will see the that the feed ramp completely pulls away from the lower section of the feed ramp on your frame…yeah that’s what I said ..why would they do a 2 part feed ramp in a pistol ….just make sure not to use an aggressive sand paper ..FYI…I would use a Dremel with a sanding drum the same radius as feed ramp…
Thank you !!
🤭🤣🤦♂️
I noticed that too when I first got mine, my dad tried cycling it and (he has trouble doing it he’s almost 60) pulled the slide kinda slowly and let it go kinda slowly and that’s when the cartridge got jammed up and left the slide partially open. But every time i do it fast just pull it back and let it go it chambers just fine, i don’t think that’s a defect necessarily moreso operator error.
HOWEVER,
I did run into a Huge issue with my G3C T.O.R.O. that I do think is some sort of defect… I was testing it like I do with my S&W Shield just chambering rounds and ejecting them just to make sure it can cycle rounds okay.. what happened was I chambered the round just fine but then the slide Locked… completely to where you can’t even pull it back, you can just about a quarter of an inch but that’s it. Mag in or out, manual safety off the slide still won’t pull back… so now there’s a bullet in the chamber and I can’t get it out no matter what. Idk what the heck the deal is. Never ever happened with my Shield and i’ve tested all sorts of ammo in that one
Hey man what holster do you use that fits a light and optic?
I have this same handgun
I bought it brand new from Vance’s
I was experiencing the feed problem almost as soon as I started using at the range
After having it now for a few months
I have now learned my first and hopefully last lesson in hangfire more than once I have not bn able to make it through a full mag with regular ammo at the range about two or three times I would get maybe three or four shots out and then just a click no fire well it did it again at the range this past Sunday but this time with no knowledge of hangfires same thing three shots and click I waited a few seconds and went to drop the mag and clear the slide and right before I touched it with my right hand the gun fired on its own right through my right palm
Of course a day or so later I wanted to seek legal counsel but did not know if that would be pointless what if anything should I do?
It’s not the gun, as much as lack of properly crimped casings, I’ve shot enough ammo thru my pistols to know what works, and what I know is, Sig rounds are simply not compatible with all feed mechanisms, there’s little to no crimping, whereas any other round, like the Hornady Critical Defense, and Duty, which is what I use, has had ZERO issues. I’ve run at least 6 or 7 different makers thru my pistols, and the only brand I’ve had issues with is Sig Sauer, and it baffles me because at ne time, I had 3 identical boxes of Sig 9mm 115gr…1 box was crimped slightly more, not even noticeable to the eye, but was to feel, than the other 2 boxes, they fed perfect. I don’t know if this is a quality control issue, or older stock mixed with new. However, I still trust, but no longer use Sig ammo, and that’s unfortunate. compare the crimping where the projectile meets the casing, and you’ll know exactly what I’m saying instantly. Just and experienced opinion, nothing against Sig, wonderful company, and even the problems I do have are not really to bitch about for an experienced shooter. slightly more than the other 2 boxes, they fed PERFECT! I don’t know if this is a quality control issue, or older sto
I have used sig v crown and Hornady critical defense thru my G3C no problems!
Umm. That’s how you’re supposed to rack the slide. You’re not supposed to guide the slide back
I also had the same issue with the 1st thru the 4th round , so what I did was to replaced the first 4 rounds in my mag with FMJ then continued with 8 HPJ rounds…I also added some extra grease to the mag springs…it helped
I just purchased a g3 and it had this exact issue but this video really helped my initial cycle. Thanks
2:55 mins in that’s a perfect rack.
Thanks it was very helpful.!
Please some many bullet drop from Taurus G3c.
Thanks for this video.
I was about to send it out for servicing… in my case, this occurs only with the 11th or 12th round (hollow-point ammo), my workaround was to load only 10 rounds… I’m glad I found this video.
To the bunch of smugs in the comments:
Yes, racking the pistol textbook mode (quick pull/release), works every time, however, this DOESN’T happen on my Sig P320 X-compact or other pistols I’ve tried, even when not racking it "properly". G3c just happens to be less forgiving…
In most cases when my G3C jams, the ammo I’m using is the cause. I stay away from Sports Master Sierra type bullet because they are not rounded off enough at the tip and can get caught on the load ramp. I make sure to run my fingers across the top of a bullet before loading it in. If theirs any kind of rough edge, I trash it. I forgot to mention, be sure to keep your load ramp clean after every shooting session to also prevent jam issue
This happens to my G3 totally eats up my round smashing it into the chamber with that said I don’t feel comfortable shooting that round now since it’s been slammed into the casing if that makes sense
I have tuarus G3c pistol
And not loaded to slowly and
When I fall on bullet, it’s down in chamber.
Please explain how.
never had a issue with g2c or g3c feeding anything. just make sure feed ramp is nice and shiny.
Omg this video helped my problem haha
Where did you get your laser sight from and how much?
I can not find help!!!
My Taurus Jamed _ locked up. On reasymbol !
I can’t find any help
It’s all what to do on rounds getting jammed
What do I do???
Brand new and my slide will not go all the way forward with regular brass ammo. Its hard to get the slide to come back even after removing the magizine. Only got 1 to 2 shots without a jam. Only fired 7 rounds thru it.
If you know what your doing and polish your feed ramp this significantly eliminates this issue.
Where you get the attachments from? I want them);
Definitely helped me 100%
Don’t buy a Canik. They have a deadly flaw. On a loaded Canik the slide can be pushed back about 1/8 of an inch out of battery and still pull the trigger, but it will not ignite the round and just send the slide forward back into battery leaving you with a round in the chamber and a dead trigger. Stay away from Canik.
The only thing that needs to be fixed or repaired is the operator.
That’s not how you chamber a round. Pull the slide back and let it go. The problem is you’re riding the slide forward. That why it cycles when you fire it because it’s not got anything holding it back. That’s how pistols are supposed to be racked. Load it don’t make love to it. You won’t hurt it I promise
also dont see the need to rack that slow. if your racking it prob needs to be done in a hurry
Bro shoot it I bet it Jams you giving us false hopes man I got the same gun as you and when you shoot it it jams dude
