Is the pt 845 been recalled

  2. Mike Whitecotton on November 29, 2021 at 10:10 pm

I sent my pt-145 millennium pro in. 8 weeks later I received a g2c 9mm. I was never given any other option. Would have liked the 40 cal.
Really would have liked my 45 repaired.
I doubt they ever had any intentions on repairing all the recalled handguns.
And my 45 had a lifetime warranty. The g2c has a 1 year warranty. Kind of crappy.

  3. Pattman Smith on November 29, 2021 at 10:11 pm

It’s a cheap gun. IF it breaks, toss it and buy something else. Life is short get over it. (Sic)

  4. Red dawn G43x on November 29, 2021 at 10:12 pm

I got a pt 24/7 PRO DS 9mm stainless slide and they don’t even make a gun equivalent to that so I really don’t wana send mine in even though it’s on the recall list

I’ve had two Taurus 40s. The first gen and then the PT140. Had issues with each. PT140 had magazine ejection issues and then firing pin/striker defects. Mag button was in a bad place and too sensitive. Never had that with main name brands. They feel good in the hand, look cool and shoot straight…when they work. It’s a backup handgun at best. Or a backup to a backup perhaps lol.
They have poorly designed, cheap plastic parts inside where you can’t see them (like a KIA lol) that don’t last 12 years with only 500-600 rounds popped through them.
I just concluded this when I took the firing pin and striker assembly out to clean and plastic parts crumbled as I handled it carefully and it stopped working.
Again, nice looking and shooting guns but crappy design…not trustworthy.
For my off-brand guns I now think EAAs are much better built and just as affordable. Heck I’d even pick a Rossi over Taurus at this point.

  6. John Mills on November 29, 2021 at 10:15 pm

Taurus sucks! They are ass deep in Rossi recalls now.

  10. Steve Kim on November 29, 2021 at 10:19 pm

so did you ever receive the G2? When did you receive this after you received the phone call from them?

  11. Ray O on November 29, 2021 at 10:21 pm

  12. Charles Gov on November 29, 2021 at 10:23 pm

Taurus customer service is a BLACK Hole …had my returned gun confirmed 4 months ago…I was led to believe that I will not hear from them for another 6 months…..just terrible..takes them 1 hour just to answer the phone…so disgusted in them………….ALSO they said they would replace my .45 with a 9 MM if it is not repairable…..what good is that…I want a .45 like I bought in good faith from them !!!!

  13. John Waddell on November 29, 2021 at 10:23 pm

I am glad I found this. I was going to send my Pt 145 in for repair so called Taurus to get RMA and was told there was a recall. I knew nothing about it. They signed for my pistol FedEx box last Friday. I have heard nothing from them. I was told 4 to 6 weeks and if the justified would send a G2C with 2 mags as a replacement. I guess that’s ok with me, rather have 45 but lawsuit terms are that G2C replaces all of the pistols in lawsuit. I just hope it doesn’t take as long as it did for some of you. I do wonder why I wasn’t notified of the lawsuit. Good luck to all that has a pistol that’s involved.

  14. Rafael Luna on November 29, 2021 at 10:25 pm

I had my gun blow up in my hand last night, will be contacting them today. Any suggestions?

  15. Crossdraw john on November 29, 2021 at 10:25 pm

My thoughts on the Taurus Spectrums. Bought mine here in Arizona on 5/16/18 and what a piece of junk!!!! Loaded first 6 rounds in the mag and it took 11 trigger pulls to get 6 rounds fired . This happened over and over again. I have almost 200 Winchester white box rounds threw it and 20 Federal Premium HST’s about half the time I had to pull the trigger twice or more. I also had failed to feed about 30 to 40 times and I had to rack the slid to put a round in the chamber. NOT GOOD – NOT GOOD AT ALL. considering this was to be used as a back up pistol. I called Taurus and the pistol is on it’s way back to them to be looked at. (A possible 12 weeks to return it). So much for enjoying my new pistol. Before you consider buying this pistol read ALL the reviews and I mean all the reviews before you rely on it for saving your life. Buy a Glock 42 instead

  16. Stout Sportsmen on November 29, 2021 at 10:26 pm

An update for you guys….. I missed a phone call from Ceasar at Taurus on Thursday March 8,2018. I returned the call to Taurus customer service the following day and was on hold for 64 minutes before getting through.
The results are in and my pt-111 duo tone is not repairable and they will be replacing it with a "brown and black" pt-111 G2, assuming they meant dessert tan and black… hopefully? They did not have a timeline on when it would be shipped out . Other than that, we discussed what FFL I wanted the replacement shipped to and that was about it during the short 2 minute conversation.
I have read on the Taurusarmed forum that people were receiving their replacements pretty soon after they were contacted from Taurus about their replacement, so that is promising. Definitely hoping to have mine soon so I can get it unboxed and broken in…
I will update again when I receive the replacement.

  17. Ray O on November 29, 2021 at 10:29 pm

well got my replacement pistol today 03/20/18 and it is pt111 brown not dessert tan after all this time

  18. Bcroft 68 on November 29, 2021 at 10:31 pm

I’ve got a TH9 Taurus and I haven’t had and trouble with it. It’s been a really good gun.

  19. Prevost on November 29, 2021 at 10:32 pm

Say something about Taurus pisspoor QC and CS and the Taurus groupies will scream “gun snobbery “.

  20. Joseph Richefender on November 29, 2021 at 10:33 pm

Very surprised ..the Taurus PT 111 Millennium G2 is one of the very best 9MM available..as far as malfunction failures every gun manufacturer has them..my wife PT 111 Millennium G2 3 years old no malfunctioning at all and has a life time warranty..

  21. JeepITguy on November 29, 2021 at 10:34 pm

Did you ever get your pistol back? This is exactly why I am not sending mine back. I bought a 45, because I didn’t want a 9mm.

  22. Chase Williams on November 29, 2021 at 10:35 pm

The G2C was not affected by this?

  23. Robert Emanuel on November 29, 2021 at 10:36 pm

After viewing the other comments on this site, I have the feeling it was a mistake to send in my 27 year-old Millennium PT111 – one of the first and NEVER a problem with an AD; I sent it in for a new front sight -the third time it blew off- but was encouraged by Taurus to do so since the gun is covered by the Enhanced Warranty for the safety problems in the lawsuit, even though it never went off when dropped, and , due to a weak Uncle Mike’s holster, of fabric and Velcro, it DID pop out several times when I was jogging, hitting the pavement a lot but NEVER going off, thank God. Yeah – finally wised up and went to leather! But I feel like I will most likely never see that gun again!

  24. Bernardo Tabora on November 29, 2021 at 10:41 pm

Is the pt24/7acp 45 BLUE SADA recalled?i bought it last year aug.2019 is there any issues ?give me details thanks

  25. Jeremiah Wilson on November 29, 2021 at 10:42 pm

This is EXACTLY why I didn’t send in my pt145. Shoots fine. And I’d rather roll the dice with the very slight chance of shooting a hole in my foot than deal with this bullshit. Not getting mine.

  26. dalokz on November 29, 2021 at 10:42 pm

My Taurus G2C has been in for repair since November. From I got it, it was bad. Always jammed when loading no matter what type of ammo, I used. I sent it in for repair and am experiencing the same thing these other Taurus owners are experiencing. Long wait times on hold. Website doesn’t work. No one knows what’s going on with it. An estimated 12-week repair time. I even asked for it back, they said they would first have to blacklist it as unrepaired and dangerous before they send it back. That means if I get my own gunsmith to repair it and then try to sell it, it will have a bad history on their database and my buyer will have no warranty. I will never buy a Taurus again.

  27. Martinez Miguel on November 29, 2021 at 10:42 pm

Hey guys I am sending in my PT 24/7 this week. Any suggestions for me? Is there anyone here from California and how was it to get your replacement pistol ?

  28. SILVERSTRUCK on November 29, 2021 at 10:43 pm

Same story here. I got an email that they received my pistol Nov 28th, 2017. Website update feature never worked (same result as you ), and was told, when I did get someone (with a gruffy, "I’d rather not be talking to you" tone), on the phone at Taurus, after the hour plus wait, that the website repair update function doesn’t work for the recall pistols, and they all were sitting on a shelf waiting to be inspected for repair, or replacement, and have not heard anything since. Sounded like they were overwhelmed. They need to reach out to their customers who put their faith in their product and do something better than, "eh, we’ll get to it when we get to it!" Mine was a Millennium Pro 140 (.40 S&W). Thanks for the video.

  29. Martin Trask on November 29, 2021 at 10:44 pm

I sent three firearms in February 2018. I called in May and was told that they were in process. I asked the representative as to when could I expect that they would be repaired. The representative told me that there is no eta. I told the representative that all three letters I received stated processing should take approximately 12 weeks from the date of receipt. The reply from the representative was that the letter that was sent wasn’t applicable to the class action. Well I just called today 7/24/18 the representative told me that they weren’t repairable that they would be replaced with PT111 G2 9mm and the Model 1-180031V | 380 auto that I could choose what combination of the two choices I would like. I told the representative that I sent back two PT140 Millenium Pro .40 and one PT145 Millenium Pro .45 and that is what I want in return. The representative informed me that these were the only two options available with the class action suit because these were the only two that were in stock. I requested to speak with a supervisor. I was told 24 – 48 business hours for a callback.

Is this problem with the new ones the G2 anybody?

  31. Bryan C. on November 29, 2021 at 10:45 pm

Taurus is a sick, lethal joke.

  32. Wayne Earls on November 29, 2021 at 10:46 pm

Sent my pt145 they received it 10/24/2017. Still nothing. Customer service is terrible. Get hung up on every time I try to call. Did the Chat also, same info you got.. Still waiting.

  33. Jessica Simonson on November 29, 2021 at 10:46 pm

Here is the thing I always just have a manufacturer send me replacement parts, and have it serviced by a local gunsmith….never have I needed to send a gun back for repair in my 30 plus years of shooting. I can do a lot of gunsmithing myself, and never needed a warranty. For stuff I think might not have time for…I take it to a gunsmith for repair. I have never been more than 3-4 days without any of my firearms.

  34. Jeff Greer on November 29, 2021 at 10:47 pm

I sent my PT-140 in last November. I received a receipt letter and nothing else. I have already replaced it with a reliable S&W. The PT-140 was always a paper weight. It miss fired so much that it was useless for anything else. Never again Taurus.

  35. x.adam1 . . . on November 29, 2021 at 10:48 pm

I sent mine in and it was replaced in about 3 months with shit brown two tone Gen 2 version. I was so happy when I got it that I quickly sold it for cheap and bought a real gun.

  36. Daniel Padgett on November 29, 2021 at 10:49 pm

What was the malfunction I have a pt111g2 made back in 2014 bought it used never had a problem

  37. HotRod Ray on November 29, 2021 at 10:50 pm

I dont know a lot about this, but all guns should have a thumb safety that actually blocks the firing mechanism.
Ive read a lot of horror stories about those glockers.

  38. Dereck Jaynes on November 29, 2021 at 10:54 pm

Going on a year still waiting

  39. SeniorChief1991 on November 29, 2021 at 10:54 pm

I requested cash settlement. The checks arrived yesterday. Full amount.

  40. Justin B on November 29, 2021 at 10:57 pm

I have a g1 9mm and I’m just learning about this. I did try to buy new magazines and none of them worked in my firearm. What should I do?

  41. KR on November 29, 2021 at 11:01 pm

I’m still waiting for my cash settlement and I turned mine in the very first day. Sad

  42. Bad Company on November 29, 2021 at 11:01 pm

  44. xXJokersDeathXx on November 29, 2021 at 11:03 pm

Have you received a pistol or any communication back from Taurus?
I just now heard about this recall.
    I have a Millennium Pt 111 G1

  45. David Pakalski on November 29, 2021 at 11:06 pm

You had little to say except they are have not given you your gun. yet you repeat yourself often You offered speculation on the pile of guns randomly selected, which is hard to believe and you say you dont know. Why offer information that is likely untrue? Its like saying if you spray paint your gun purple they might send you your weight in gold. Its a waste of time watching your videos
