This was my first 9mm pistol. Love it.

  2. Christian Caicedo on September 11, 2022 at 8:22 pm

This will be my second gun. Looks amazing and loved the feel of it at the gun store when I held it.

First time handgun owner. Picked this gun up little over a week ago for self defense after someone said they wanted to kill me. Fun to shoot but definitely different from archery. I could use some help lol.

45 Shield 2.0 is my edc. The grip is by far my favorite. Performs flawlessly. Great review

    I LOVE the Shield!

I have all the six and all the other guns but let me tell you something,… I love the trigger on the shield. And I have drive fired my two point or many times in the trigger pull is absolutely perfect like my friend Sarah Barry Smith and Wesson 3913 I say the same about my shield two point no… I shoot this thing better than any gun I own. So I’m not gonna get rid of it and I feel more confident when I carry it because I can shoot it so well!

I’m able to hit Apple‘s out at 20 yards of head literally!

I like the skinny grip because it gives my secondary support hand it better grip. The trigger is perfect. I put true glow fiber optic treaty of night sites on it and I had a local gunsmith do a Job on the forward trigger guard so I can get more grip on it with my support hand index finger. I’ll tell you man I could shoot this weapon like no other pistol I’ve ever owned. And I thought that the Sigg or other guns would do but you just like Gunsmoke reviewer said “ the shield is the Goldilocks of size”… this is the perfect size carry piece.

Each one of your reviews comes with a little sermon. Maybe you should have a separate channel dedicated to helping the needy and saving the planet. Helping people to see the need to set aside a percentage of their money for charity and then a little something to help them with their recycling program. Sort of like Billy Gram with a handgun approach.

I just bought one I have been using the Smith & Wesson 442 but 38 special is hard to find and when you do you pay double price for it 9mm across the board is easier to find and cheaper to practice.

  11. Inspector Steve on September 11, 2022 at 8:36 pm

I just got my shield 2.0. For some reason the slide stop is so hard to push down. I need to use both thumbs. Does that get better or is there something wrong?

  12. Chef Di' on September 11, 2022 at 8:36 pm

In my opinion, the glock 43 x feels better in hand, but the shield 9 shoots better…I own a shield, and would not buy a glock 43 x, over a shield 9…

My only problem is my mags are still and hard to load

  14. Kj Guitarman on September 11, 2022 at 8:38 pm

What distances were you at during the longer ranges? I have the Cali version with the Loaded chamber Indicator on top, but I have the Safety

  15. Ningina Vespucci on September 11, 2022 at 8:38 pm

So glad that I watched this. I’m about to buy my first gun and I’ve been going back and forth between the Glock 43, Sig P365 and the S&W M&P Shield. Everything that you liked about this gun was exactly what I liked so my choice is made. Thanks for the thorough review!

  16. MoreThanAHammer on September 11, 2022 at 8:39 pm

Just traded in my M&P 9 full size (gen 1) for an M&P 9 shield 2 with green crimson trace. Don’t regret it at all. 8+1 I carry is better than 17+1 I leave at home

  19. Slaps Macluski on September 11, 2022 at 8:42 pm

i just got a 2.0 Shield Performance Center, the take up on the trigger is HORRENDOUS!I just bought a Tisas PX9 for $250 less and it has the trigger the M&P 2.0 should. I will get ride of this 2.0 shield before I fire it just based on trigger take up.

  22. Supa Dave on September 11, 2022 at 8:47 pm

Great review 👏 I just purchased this firearm because of your review, for my wife who is a newly ccl holder.

  23. Kevin Simpson on September 11, 2022 at 8:47 pm

Can’t believe I got mine for 329 at Cabelas of all places. I think it was because mine had the manual safety. The one without the safety was 449.

  24. Matthew Jablow on September 11, 2022 at 8:48 pm

Any chance you may review their compact 1911? Thanks for the great reviews!!!

  26. Randaddy ! on September 11, 2022 at 8:49 pm

  28. Albert Brooks on September 11, 2022 at 8:51 pm

Just picked up the m&p shield 2.0 today, first time gun owner. Haven’t been able to shoot yet but I’ll definitely be making my way to the rang tomorrow! Super excited! Can’t wait. This gun will be my everyday carry so I have to train with it 🙂

  29. Georgette on September 11, 2022 at 8:52 pm

    Thanks!!!!

  30. Malik Jarrett on September 11, 2022 at 8:53 pm

Looking to get this one as my first gun! Really liking it

  31. Justin Taylor on September 11, 2022 at 8:54 pm

I traded my brother a Glock 48 because I didn’t like the Glock for this m&p sheild. Still love my Taurus th9c.

  33. Thomas Palmer on September 11, 2022 at 9:00 pm

Great video!!! The .45 Shield is my everyday CCW. However when it comes to home defense I’m going with my Ruger Commander 1911 & my my Springfield Armory A1 Mil Spec 1911 both loaded with Hornady Critical Duty 220 grain JHP

  34. Rick Donahue on September 11, 2022 at 9:03 pm

Just bought one. Nice review, thank you.

  35. Daniel Hardwick on September 11, 2022 at 9:04 pm

That’s some impressive shooting! Tells a lot about the M&P Shield 2.0 as well as yourself! Thanks, great video!

    Just bought a shield 2.0

  37. Aaron DeVries on September 11, 2022 at 9:05 pm

I absolutely love this gun. I’ve owned it for about a year now and I like that its lightweight, compact but not tiny. The recoil is minimal. Accuracy is excellent. Although I have the .40 version I love it!

  38. David Thorne on September 11, 2022 at 9:06 pm

New Jersey just got carry so I’m thinking about buying one of these now

  39. TheChelseafc444 on September 11, 2022 at 9:06 pm

This is my weapon of choice for concealed carry. The right amount of rounds, lightweight, compact, shootable for the size, but most importantly, RELIABLE. 100% with no problems. Love this pistol. Trust this pistol.

  40. Jason Mick on September 11, 2022 at 9:07 pm

Just got the 380 for my wife, 9 is next for me. We are both new to guns more or less. I liked your review a lot! New subscriber here!

  44. Huy Nguyen USA on September 11, 2022 at 9:12 pm

It’s better than a sharp stick, however some home invaders are now arming themselves, sometimes with Glock 17s.

  45. Alden Madruga on September 11, 2022 at 9:12 pm

First time gun buyer & just got an M&P Shield 2.0! So stoked to have an all-around solid pistol as my first gun!

  46. joebucketsTV on September 11, 2022 at 9:12 pm

Question for more experienced shooters: I have this gun, but because of the short grip area, when ever I pull the trigger my index finger slides which thus causes my shot to shift. Any tips on how I can correct this as a user? This doesn’t happen with my G2C or Canik TP9SF. (I’m sure everyone will say the gun is fine, so assuming this is an error on my part I need to correct)

  47. Kevin Knapp on September 11, 2022 at 9:14 pm

Just got this on a great sale (2.0, 3.x barrel) and took it to the range. Way more impressed than I thought I would be. It’s fast, stays on target, is super accurate, very controllable – more so than say the sig 365 or even my Walther pdp. I didn’t notice any cons to the articulated trigger in practice. I like the 3 dot sights and found it super easy to use with my glasses and astigmatism.

Cons, I did find this thing was super… tight? The manual slide release is extremely hard to use. The takedown lever is too. It’s hard for my gf to rack the slide and we got it as her purse gun. The magazines are nearly impossible to get the last rounds in. The 7rd magazine is useless. It’s apparently made of a different metal than the 8rd and has trouble ejecting/inserting. The 8rd is still hard to load, but the extended magazine is necessary for a comfy grip. I’ve found 10rd 3rd party mags and may try one of those.

Got it for 300 in July ’22. Happy with the purchase. But at regular retail I’d like it less.

  48. elbin orellana on September 11, 2022 at 9:18 pm

I bought this in February as my first firearm and then the shield plus came out soon after lol but honestly I’m still very please and feel confident carrying this. Don’t feel like I’m missing that much. Use to not use the 7rnd mag until I added a +2 mag extension, makes a great spare mag to carry w me

  49. cccincocc on September 11, 2022 at 9:19 pm

Is the 2.0 and the M2.0 the same gun?

  50. Wage Beast on September 11, 2022 at 9:19 pm

Just bought one in 45. Very nice feel. If grip were 1/8” or so thicker it would be perfect.
    Only dislike is slide lock.
