How about a M&p shield plus vs m&p supcompact more or less a WHY??

  2. Rose Marsili on June 3, 2023 at 4:35 am

Is this gun difficult to rack? What about recoil?

  3. J. Wick on June 3, 2023 at 4:35 am

M&Ps are tops in my book. Can’t beat em all around. Not a must, but for 100$ an Apex trigger makes this among the best triggers on the market as well. The answer to the title is…Yes.

  4. KJ Wong on June 3, 2023 at 4:41 am

Hate glocks. Will always choose SW. screw Austria. USA made or bust

  5. Dr MitoFit on June 3, 2023 at 4:42 am

Adding to the nomenclature confusion, if you go to your gunshop to buy a spare magazine for your M2.0 Compact, the magazine package labeling says "Mid-Size" 15rd 9 mm. No past or current M&P pistol is designated "Mid-Size". So the Mid-Size mag fits the 2.0 Compact, the 2.0 SubCompact (with sleeve), and the 1.0 Compact (sticks out, but makes an excellent 15rd back up mag). Also the slimmer M&P Shield series is more compact than the 2.0 SubCompact (without magazine compatibility). So is the Shield series SubSubCompact or Micro?

  6. whatfreedom7 on June 3, 2023 at 4:43 am

I’m surprised his shield rusted because i thought m&p’s were stainless slides?

  7. Cole on June 3, 2023 at 4:43 am

I already own a p365 and a Ruger LCP. I cc both depending on what I’m wearing, where I’m going, and the weather outside. I’ve really wanted one of these M&P 2.0sc’s as a more shootable cc option for a while now. Especially for use in the colder months when I’m wearing more layers of clothing. Is it strange to rotate 3 different guns for cc? Well, we have more than 3 options on what clothing we choose to wear…

  8. Mark McCool on June 3, 2023 at 4:44 am

    Just a thought…

Find the pistol that: 1) fits your hand well, 2) fits your needs, and 3) is very shootable for YOU (caliber / controlability / accuracy).

If it doesnt fit, you can’t be confident in your shooting. If you cant keep rounds on target in a defensive situation the gun isnt going to protect you.

  9. Grilling with Jay on June 3, 2023 at 4:45 am

So here it is 2 years later, and our valiant YouTuber who loves Glock so much… and buys his Mom an S&W Shield EZ for Mother’s Day lol.

  10. Earl Gallup on June 3, 2023 at 4:46 am

Made in the USA that’s good enough for me.

  11. Dr MitoFit on June 3, 2023 at 4:48 am

I wanna know if the 2.0 SubCompact 9mm grippier backstrap will fit the 1.0 Compact 9mm. Only thing my 1.0 Compact needs is a grippier texture. I don’t like the ghetto cheap look of grip tape.

  12. Jon eifer on June 3, 2023 at 4:48 am

Your right it is confusing. The names makes more sense with the 2.0. I do like the idea behind the 365 and the Hellcat however tiny guns don’t fit my hand well.

  13. BP Living on June 3, 2023 at 4:49 am

I had the gen1 mp compact 40sw with 9mm conversion barrel and that thing failed constantly with everything. one of my worse guns ever!

  14. ZFlyingVLover on June 3, 2023 at 4:51 am

Either S&W is hiding something or they’re advertising morons. I cannot find out if the M&P 9’s are +P compatible!!!!! Everywhere it says 9mm luger in the specs sheet. My assumption would be if they’re advertising it as military and police THEN they should advertise that its +P as well. No?

  15. G G on June 3, 2023 at 4:51 am

Two years later and I still want one. Seems the world forgot about it but still looks great.

  18. LA Redfish Addict on June 3, 2023 at 4:55 am

How does the M&P 2.0 compact compare to the Ruger security 9 sub compact?

  19. MELobstah2013 on June 3, 2023 at 4:55 am

Do the 2.0 pistols now come with that new end plate on the back of the slide?

  20. James DeLap on June 3, 2023 at 4:56 am

The Hellcat and P365 don’t come in 40ca.

  21. agenttexx on June 3, 2023 at 4:57 am

I’m tired of all these new "compact" and "subcompact" mouse guns that hold 6 rounds or 8 rounds and barely has any barrel. I want to see new long slide guns. I want a 10" barrel glock that can hold 33 rounds in the grip. Just extend that grip an extra 4-5"… hell, give us 12" of grip… I want a gun that you can see on a belt and say "Godammit, that’s freedom…"

  22. whatfreedom7 on June 3, 2023 at 5:01 am

Ive carried a 9c since 2010or 11. I like the pistol but the trigger is horrible. I need to go apex foward set sear or see if there is another kit. Sadly overwatch doesn’t make one for the 1.0. It’s also really heavy for its size.

  23. Mace1000S on June 3, 2023 at 5:02 am

I have 2 M&P9c and a M&P9 Compact 2.0 all three have Apex Duty triggers. The two M&P9c are set with crimson trace grips due to my 55 year old eyes. I really have enjoyed them for many years. At times I carry my main M&P9c with my 15rd mag from the M&P Compact 2.0 with a +6 Floyd’s Custom’s mag extension giving a wonderful small M&P9c that has a very nice Apex trigger, a red laser, trijicon low light sights and 21 rounds of 9mm. In WA. I have a coat on more times then not so I’m good. I enjoyed your review. And this video has me thinking about getting the new subcompact 2.0. Maybe I will try the new Timney M&P Competition trigger on it. But it may end up being to light for carry. Thank you again for the work you do.

  24. Demitri Kotsonas on June 3, 2023 at 5:02 am

I have large hands and the Sig P365 is so damn tiny in my hand i have a hard time shooting good groups. So, yes….subcompacts have a place in the current market.

  25. LIVIN CINCY on June 3, 2023 at 5:03 am

A lot of reviews of Micro Sub Compact guns have shooters shooting to the left. You shot this gun on center. I think that size is to small for many hands. This gun is for bigger hands.

  26. Carlos Michael on June 3, 2023 at 5:04 am

Will a TLR7 fit on its baby rail section?

  27. Joe S. on June 3, 2023 at 5:04 am

Solid. But I’ll still pick the vp9sk any day.

  28. Earl Gallup on June 3, 2023 at 5:05 am

    Goofball

  29. Anthony Gonzales on June 3, 2023 at 5:08 am

    You have a briefcase?

  30. Ct Bt on June 3, 2023 at 5:09 am

It’s nice but it would be better if Smith and Wesson made it an eighth of an inch shorter and just a little narrower.

  31. myron brand on June 3, 2023 at 5:10 am

Pearce extension said they were going to make a pinky extension for the S&W compact really the SC and never did!

  32. Louis Giokas on June 3, 2023 at 5:10 am

What I like about the M&P M2.0 Subcompact and the Glock 26 is that they can use the magazines from their larger brothers. The ideal situation at home is to have the full-size gun (M&P 2.0 or Glock 17) as a bedside gun with a light. Then, as a backup, at another location, the subcompact model, with a full-size mag as a backup. The smaller gun is then also perfect for concealed carry. And, for total security, have another gun (same caliber) in the garage in a hidden, locked singe gun safe, in case you come home and don’t have a pistol on you. and you suspect there might be a problem (is that paranoid?).

  33. GP on June 3, 2023 at 5:11 am

Top Tier pick for lefties as it’s ambidextrous.

  34. E Solo on June 3, 2023 at 5:12 am

Basically toss a coin on these. Great track record of reliability, accuracy and durability for both.

  35. HM collectibles on June 3, 2023 at 5:15 am

Absolutely love my M&P Compact 2.0. Still my favorite gun, range gun. Didn’t know they made a subcompact. For Carry purpose, I just went with the new Shield Plus.. Sold the Hellcat which was nice, but Square grip was uncomfortable overall and a little too heavy. 365, too skinny of a grip. Guess I’m a Smith & Wesson M&P fan now because of the shield and that 2.0 compact. Just awesome feeling guns, shooting guns, even look pretty decent.

  36. NightSnacks Hikes on June 3, 2023 at 5:15 am

Don’t think they are obsolete at all. I have a hellcat and have shot a 365 and they are just not as shootable and confidence inspiring as the subs. Y’all can keep your micro 9’s

  37. Jack Bauer on June 3, 2023 at 5:16 am

I find the gun to be a good balance of shootability with carry comfort. You can also improve capacity with 15 and 17 round mags.

  38. Learn Share & Evolve on June 3, 2023 at 5:20 am

Great review. Your simple and effective range setup gives me great hope to one day have such a nice range of my own.

  39. PG on June 3, 2023 at 5:22 am

I wonder if you have an opinion regarding shoot ability as compared to the 4 in compact that you mentioned at the beginning of the video

  40. Shelton Champion on June 3, 2023 at 5:23 am

“You smell what I’m stepping in” yo this the second quote I’m taking from you to use once again. Keep it up bro

  41. Pete M Kring IV on June 3, 2023 at 5:25 am

As long as Law Enforcement carries the “Full/Compact Sizes” there will always be a place for “Sub Compacts”

  42. Chris Chalkley on June 3, 2023 at 5:25 am

    Bought this gun today

  43. Louis Giokas on June 3, 2023 at 5:26 am

Actually, this is just the polymer reincarnation of the S&W Model 69. This was a 3.5" barrel, 12-round subcompact that could take Model 59 15-round mags. Same idea. Actually, Mec-Gar makes 17-round mags for the 59 series. So, we have EXACTLY the same situation.

  44. Drew TheDogman on June 3, 2023 at 5:26 am

Did I just hear a cat person making fun of 45 shooters?

  45. RustyNuts86 on June 3, 2023 at 5:27 am

That AARP joke was awesome 👌

  46. Teri Farley on June 3, 2023 at 5:29 am

Aaaaaaalmost close to getting that AARP, scratch that AMAC card!

  47. Jamie Eisenhower on June 3, 2023 at 5:30 am

The Smith & Wesson always beats the Glock Glocks don’t shoot certain ammo very good and you have to rebuild them when you buy them and their overpriced

  48. Teri Farley on June 3, 2023 at 5:31 am

Get some devcon on that mag sleeve, (take care to not glue mag base on), and you can do that grip extension. But yes not needed when the main grip is still good. If you can use a MAC 10 without complaining about the grip being just a box magazine, shouldnt be any complaints about gripping exposed magazine below the SC grip.

  49. Oakwood Mike on June 3, 2023 at 5:31 am

I have a Glock 43x and a hellcat pro. I also have very large hands and I realized I’m not a fan of the micro 9 movement. I’m going to check this out and a Glock 26. The width and the front to back length makes it more comfortable for my hands.

  50. mike fritz on June 3, 2023 at 5:33 am

My m&p 2.0 Subcompact is the reason i havent made a transition to micro compacts. The thickness and heft really dont bother me enough to swap out the gun and all the holsters ive accumulated specific to it.
