This is not just a very good budget AR, it is a very good AR period, regardless of price.

  10. Richard Lynn,Jr on June 11, 2022 at 7:07 pm

Can it be used if you’re left handed?

  11. Pat Kelley on June 11, 2022 at 7:15 pm

I’ve had mine for a few years. I’ve replaced quite a bit on it. Recommend a ALG ACT trigger for it. Running mine with a YHM QD muzzle brake and turbo T2 can. Still need to freefloat it though.

  12. FutureNoize on June 11, 2022 at 7:15 pm

I’m picking one of these Smith & Wesson M&P 15 rifles tomorrow and seeing as I’ve only fired their 15-22, I wanted some info. Through that, found your video and wow was I lucky. You’re extremely well educated on it and spoke slow enough that I never felt "left behind", thanks for a great video and count me in as a subscriber.

    Very good review. Thanks👍

  14. Rog Bear on June 11, 2022 at 7:16 pm

I bought mine I think in 2017. I paid $365 brand new in the box from Gander Mountain, when they were going out of business….Wish I would have bought two!

  15. Bonehead88 on June 11, 2022 at 7:17 pm

Not…… you u can build a fully customized gun for cheaper.
Come on Americans build your own boomsticks!

  16. Frank Schlegel on June 11, 2022 at 7:17 pm

  17. Moser Jones on June 11, 2022 at 7:17 pm

Has anyone put the franklin armory binary trigger in this?

  18. Felix Gonzales on June 11, 2022 at 7:18 pm

i bought one of the first ones to come out, not intentional, i just wanted an AR and saw the price, but it’s held up suuuuuper well. I’m barely getting around to upgrading it but that thing is pretty accurate given its age and its still stock

  19. Ed Ham on June 11, 2022 at 7:20 pm

Great video. Bought one. What model holosun red dot is that?

  20. Brandon Elliott on June 11, 2022 at 7:24 pm

  24. Orlando Delgado on June 11, 2022 at 7:28 pm

What is the stock number for this AR? And does it come with the carrying case?

  25. Rob Gams on June 11, 2022 at 7:28 pm

Is that the original trigger you reviewed? It sounds like it’s pretty reliable and feels decent out of the box. Which Holosun magnifier and red dot sight combo is that? Thanks for the review.

  26. J T on June 11, 2022 at 7:30 pm

They are now $800-$860 depending on the model. I ordered one this week with the Magpul handguard and optic that was $859.99 at Academy.

  30. Dixie on June 11, 2022 at 7:33 pm

Hello my Scottish American buddy! Your friend in Alabama…..(Paisley, Bridge of Weir)…..you know who else comes from Scotland? John Paul Jones….father of the U.S. Navy….and the M&P 15, super rifle. Love mine.

  31. Dylan O on June 11, 2022 at 7:33 pm

Not even close. The palmetto state arms is way cheaper and better as is the ruger.

  32. Brian Clark on June 11, 2022 at 7:35 pm

I just picked one up at scheels for $779 and it comes with a crimson trace red/green dot optic

  33. Duane Poole on June 11, 2022 at 7:35 pm

How is this a budget gun it is $792

  34. Carl Zehosky on June 11, 2022 at 7:35 pm

Looking at getting my first AR15. Would this recommend the S&W, Ruger 556 or a PSA? They look to all be around that $900 or less range. Thanks.

  35. Nelson R on June 11, 2022 at 7:39 pm

It’s a dinosaur of a gun. There are other budget ARs out there Like Aero that bring more modern features like Mlok to the table.

  36. average Joe on June 11, 2022 at 7:42 pm

My wifes mp shoots tula steel just fine. If it can’t handle steel it doesn’t deserve brass

    armalite is better an cheaper

  44. Billy Freeman on June 11, 2022 at 7:48 pm

Picked one up Yesterday. Pre-owned BUT UNFIRED with the MOE handguard, M&P vertical grip with integrated light, 3 Pmags and M&P soft range bag for $650 cash out the door. Story I got was that the customer who won it in a raffle only accepted it and did the paperwork for it instead of opting for a gift card of identical value because he wanted something new to shoot while he waited for his Springfield Saint that he ordered to arrive. His rifle arrived the next day and he brought the M&P back in UNFIRED to sell and put towards the price of the Saint. No brass wash on the bolt face or in the chamber, no wear on the FCG or the face of the buffer. It’s squeaky clean with the exception of factory oil.

  48. Sebastian Cendejas on June 11, 2022 at 7:52 pm

What optic is that ? Thinking on getting that one or an eotech.

  49. PrepperJunkie on June 11, 2022 at 7:53 pm

People are asking for the upgrades on this rifle. There isn’t to many but here you go:
I like to switch out the buffer spring to a Damage Industries spring (about $5-$10 depending on sales). I also always add a Spikes T2 tungsten powder buffer. There’s a holosun red dot and 3x magnifier. Magpul butt stock, Hogue grip, and a Radian Arms Raptor charging handle. I think that covers it all.

  50. Nebick27 on June 11, 2022 at 7:53 pm

Good video, the angles on the handguard slots are 2, 6, and 10 for future reference.
