I spoke to another umarex retailer in the UK a couple of weeks back and they had recently been talking to Umarex in Germany about T4E products. According to Umarex, the US versions of the PPQ, M&P and TM1 have marginally LESS fps than the European versions, not more. I can’t recall the reasoning, but that is what Umarex Germany advised. But so much comes down to ammo weight/types, co2 temperature and even co2 blub make, so I guess in practice different valve spring strengths and valve sizes may have negligible difference.
That aside, I’m really enjoying your review videos. You’ve got a great presenting style and they’re a nice balance between enough info/info overload. I’ve also bought a few things from you guys over the past few months and the service has been excellent. 👍🏻😊

I didn’t buy mine from your store, but another dealer in the UK. It lasted no more than two games over one weekend, in April 2021, before the firing pin spring broke. This mean the firing pin wouldn’t properly retract and stopped the magazines from loading correctly.
I contacted the dealer, who contacted Umarex to ask for spares. I also emailed Umarex but they never bothered to reply.
A few months later, the dealer advised that Umarex apparently do not hold stocks of spare parts and that I need to wait several months for the spare springs and lock washers to be manufactured and sent from the Far East.
The problem isn’t limited to the M&P. A few of my team mates have the newer TPM1 and the firing pins on their pistols broke completely. That’s why the TPM1 was withdrawn from Umarex’s own website. The problem doesn’t seem to affect older models, or the PPQ.
They are great pistols, when they work, but the customer service is appalling.
How effective is this as an actual self defense weapon?
