No it isn’t. Sold my M&P’s (both gens) but still have my Glocks. The SIG P320 however is. Will never sell my Glocks and will still buy them but the 320’s chassis system is revolutionary and the key to an actual game changer with it’s unparalleled modularity. With it’s formal adoption as our newest military service pistol, it will be relevant for at least the next couple of decades.

Just got one of these for $400, guess they’re on sale everywhere because they have a new model with the new trigger. But this at $400 with a $100 apex flatty is hands down the best deal.

  5. Darth Skywalker on October 31, 2022 at 9:16 pm

Now the question is the polymer flat apex trigger kit or the aluminum flat kit πŸ€”

They came out with a new Optics Ready M&P 2.0 compact with a flat-faced trigger earlier this year.

Stock trigger works and does the job well however I personally went to Apex Day and had one installed on my compact 4” and had them put the weight at about 4 1/2 – 5lb trigger pull but it feels like 3lbs with there trigger it is by far my favorite striker fire trigger and I am a 1911/2011 guy to so that is saying a lot

As a Glock fan the M&P 2.0 and Canik Mete are becoming my 2 most favorite pistols. Glock is just my night stand weapon now..

If you’re here after watching the m&p crush the Glock in Garand ‘s video, go ahead and smash that like button.

I have the 4" compact with surpressor height regular sights and I love it. I agree with you about the trigger. I kept reading about how everyone hated it and mandatory that you change to apex, but I don’t mind it and it shoots great. I haven’t had the issue with my red dot getting dirtied up yet so maybe I’m lucky. Nice review.

I can’t manufacture an M&P in my garage so I’ll stick with glock

Glocks are solid and wide open for customization, especially needing a different trigger shoe. S&W M&P 2.0 is fantastic if you add an Apex flat face trigger. Takes it to a who new level of wow.

Recoil feel or shooting dynamic, which one is better you think? MP2.0 or P10C

  28. RabbL Rouser on October 31, 2022 at 9:46 pm

As an owner of multiple flavors of both the M&P 2.0 and Glock all I have to say is…no law enforcement agency (federal, state, or local) in Alaska (my home) issues M&P pistols or allows them as backup firearms. Good guns, but tough as nails reliable? Haha, no no no. Not compared to Glock.

I like the M&Ps, and with Apex kits in them, they’re fun guns, range toys. Trust my life to one? Nope.

Great review. I think you described everything pretty well in detail and from what was stated, matches the same type of experiences I have had. However, I just run irons, no red dot so that I don’t have experience with.
I had to get the full size FDE 2.0 9mm version. I removed the detent under the slide release so I can shove a mag in hard and the slide automatically goes home like it would on the gen 1 version. I’ve shot a few cases of 9mm ammo through mine, mostly Federal Aluminum cased ammo when Walmart had it, but lots of Winchester and Tulammo as well with no issues. I only cleaned the gun after the first 4-500 rounds but I have not oiled it or cleaned it since and I have yet to get a malfunction. Installed a fully adjustable rear sight and I like it much better than the stock rear sight. The mags are expensive, but I pick one or two up here and there, so over the past few years, I have over 12 factory mags now. For good aftermarket mags, I suggest ETS mags. They feed well and I’ve only had one mag where the rounds somehow lodge inside the magazine rendering it useless untill I took the bottom plate off and released the spring tension. The Pro mags work, but they never lock back on the last round, the ETS mags will. For any gun, I only suggest aftermarket for training and range fun, only use factory mags if carrying/home defense for top reliability.

Just sold my full-size m2.0 without optics and got the optics-ready compact. Put a Riton Tactix 2 on it. Both deals found at your website.

  34. AJ on October 31, 2022 at 9:54 pm

You mentioned the 4” and 4.25” m&p but I feel like it’s worth also mentioning the 5” too! It’s my personal favorite size. My 5” performance center m&p is absolutely my favorite polymer handgun in my collection. Although my p226 mk25 definitely gives it a run for it’s money.
Shame your trigger reset wasn’t great on your model though. My full size 5” and both of my 3.1” and 4” shields all have a fantastic trigger and trigger reset. Very short and audible.
Appreciate the video though it was very well done. Kind of surprised you don’t have more subscribers.

  36. Bill Dont on October 31, 2022 at 10:01 pm

I don’t understand how you switch from Glock to this with it’s normal grip angle. I don’t shoot Glock because of the grip angle switching back and forth would cause my brain to implode. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

What of LAPG light is that? You said it before but I forgot.

  37. Larry Edwards on October 31, 2022 at 10:04 pm

Great review and I have the optics ready S&W M&P Compact 2.0 9mm and I am happy with it. The texturized grip works great for me as well.

  40. BespokeLife on October 31, 2022 at 10:05 pm

I’ve always been an M&P fan. One way to get around magazine cost is to buy used from LE trade ins. I think if the M&P had cheaper aftermarket mags that more people would be willing to give it a try over Glock

I’m usually not a fan of strike industries, but they got the texture right on their strike80 frame & even has the little "gas pedal" textured thumb shelf. I wss pleasantly surprised…not sure if they offer serialized frames (I’m sure they will soon), but they’re worth checking out. I don’t particularly like glocks, but I like this
