This is my first time getting my hands on a FFP LPVO. After having used this for some time now I can safely say that I really like how it functions, and how easy it is to use. The only problem is with this one. Is that the illumination is Far from bright enough.

Bought the tango 6 7.62 bdc. Taking it hog hunting literally tomorrow

  3. Steve Do on November 20, 2021 at 10:12 pm

i dont know how i feel about a 1-4 in FFP. not sure the benefits of FFP is needed in such a low magnification range.

  4. ddyoder on November 20, 2021 at 10:12 pm

…great vid as always. Bummer about the illumination, i guess if they really thickened up the crosshairs they could help drive eyes to the middle or help infer aiming point when the light washes it out.

  5. Bart Casto on November 20, 2021 at 10:12 pm

golden eye feel , love it. ill give it a 007/10 lol

  6. Jays Reviews on November 20, 2021 at 10:12 pm

    Sadly it’s not bright enough

  7. Christopher Clayton on November 20, 2021 at 10:12 pm

That would just about be my perfect lpvo and then I saw the brightness and was extremely disappointed

  8. Bear Woolsey on November 20, 2021 at 10:14 pm

See if you can get your hands on a PA Cyclops

  9. radradroadbot on November 20, 2021 at 10:15 pm

I’ve never seen a good ffp lpvo with a usable 1x

  10. Jays Reviews on November 20, 2021 at 10:16 pm

That reticle was so tiny and so hard to see, I didn’t even know where to look at 1x

  11. Nam Nguyen on November 20, 2021 at 10:20 pm

I wonder how the 6t stacks up to this.

  12. Scott Coleman on November 20, 2021 at 10:22 pm

    So close!

  13. Mike Borrelli on November 20, 2021 at 10:22 pm

Wrong.. The only thing keeping it from being perfect is not being in Second Focal Plane.. This way the illumination would work,. And if the battery died you could still see the reticle.. Who cares if 1x allows you to use bullet drop when rifles shoot flat out past 200 yards.. and who’s not dialing in to 4 power to take a 300 yard shot?

  14. HRB on November 20, 2021 at 10:23 pm

    I spy an M1917 bolt.

  15. Matt Grimm on November 20, 2021 at 10:29 pm

What have been your favorite LPVOs to date in these categories?

    Unlimited money?
    Under $1000?
    Lightweight (18oz or less)?

  16. Jo Quin on November 20, 2021 at 10:29 pm

Thanks for these reviews. They’re highly underrated. At this point, if you want a budget LPVO I would go with primary Arms, if I want a daylight bright LPVO, I’m going with a vortex razor.

  17. Hard Core on November 20, 2021 at 10:29 pm

That 007 scene was funny especially after the rescue. Wasn’t under any influence! Lmao Your absolutely right though. Only if they made it brighter it would be perfect!

  18. whatdudeokman on November 20, 2021 at 10:30 pm

The best scope reviewer ever. There is literally nobody else to turn to.

  19. rccdelmte on November 20, 2021 at 10:31 pm

Dang Sig so close yet so far. The illumination bothers me and is a big deal as we all know sig charges a premium for their products so this is inexcusable. Great video as always.

  20. Mike Borrelli on November 20, 2021 at 10:32 pm

Why is anyone bothering to make 1 to 4 power LPVO’s in FFP? most high power rifle rounds shoot flat out to 250 yards.. WTF cares if you can’t use 1x or 3x at 300 yards? If your taking shots at 300 your going to be at 4x

  21. Lukrula on November 20, 2021 at 10:33 pm

Does that red dot belong to the scope or is it different laser?

  22. Moist Towelette on November 20, 2021 at 10:33 pm

This or a viper ii 1-6?

  23. Bo Zhang on November 20, 2021 at 10:35 pm

    Awesome review! Thanks!

I just got my tango4 1-4 few days back and after couple uses here is my take on the reticle brightness – could be better fully agree, just to quantify how "bad" it is:
2x-4x the brightness is non issue for me under daylight, i set to 5 or 6 out of 8 brightness in a cloudy day. set on 8 of 8 under the sun (in a summer day in US southeast).
Now under 1x, I can get away with full brightness in an overcast day shooting at off-white color target – not perfect, but doable. When you look at the sky, you can forget about the illumination – but the good thing is, when focusing on light object, the reticle itself in black color is fully visible without illumination under such contrast.

Roughly comparing with my holosun 512, vortex venom, and eotech 512, the tango4 at full brightness is ~50% at 1x, 70% at 2X, fully comparable 3X-4X vs the others. Its probably not fair to compare a LPVO to reddots but here you get it – my subjective non-scientific gut feeling comparison.

In summary, there is 1 shooting scenario this optics frustrates me: under bright sunny day shooting at a well-lit yellow/brown target at 1X. No complaint otherwise.

Once again, thanks for a great review!

  24. Nathan Cool on November 20, 2021 at 10:36 pm

Would you recommend this or vortex viper there close to price of each other.

  25. Doug Heinrichs on November 20, 2021 at 10:38 pm

I feel safer knowing you’re down there patrolling the dank and dark basement of your apartment complex.

  26. Joshua Henry on November 20, 2021 at 10:40 pm

Can’t buy a scope that doesn’t function as intended. Unbelievable to me that they still haven’t fixed this issue. My EOtech was too dim in bright light, but I sent it in and they fixed it.

  27. Mike M. on November 20, 2021 at 10:41 pm

I havent found 1-4 scope as good as the meopta ZD 1-4. The p4xi comes really close. The meopta was ahead of its time and is still the best 1-4 on the market

  28. Mattsterpiece NJMAFLVA on November 20, 2021 at 10:41 pm

After the invisible reticle everything else it moot. Great review as always though!

  29. Eroc on November 20, 2021 at 10:41 pm

Great review! Thank you so much!

  30. B H on November 20, 2021 at 10:43 pm

you really do that best reviews… just having the left to right eye-box test on the LPVO reviews is super great! Thank you!

  31. Brian on November 20, 2021 at 10:44 pm

Is there a Sig optic 1-4 or 1-5 that has hash marks, doesn’t have a horrible reticle and has a day-time workable illumination for less than 500 ish? It just sucks that the illumination is weak.

  34. Kevin Stafford on November 20, 2021 at 10:47 pm

i checked one of these out today. the 1x was hardly usable. it was a deal breaker for me. 4x was awesome but I might as well just stick with an acog

  35. Hodge on November 20, 2021 at 10:53 pm

Same problem with the Tango 6 line. Gotta wonder what Sig product development was thinking.

  36. vlaricshard2 on November 20, 2021 at 10:53 pm

    I hated mine

  37. Jack Blacktose on November 20, 2021 at 10:55 pm

Planning on putting this on a Savage Impulse as a deer/hog rifle. Honestly I was hesitant after watching this, but after finding it for <$400 new I couldn’t resist. Really curious on how well it’ll fill the role!

  38. Rowdy Zek on November 20, 2021 at 10:59 pm

I dont see why have ffp on a 1-4

  39. pkasedona1 on November 20, 2021 at 11:02 pm

"I can say that nothing was consumed" part made me laugh harder than it should have , probably. The bolt handle looks like a M1917 Enfield, so that’s my best guess. Thanks for the video.

  40. Anthony Smith on November 20, 2021 at 11:06 pm

you are such a saving grace. The daily shooter "reviewed" this optic and said it was daylight bright…. but wouldnt show it….. more videos of his i see make me question his credibility sometimes. THANK you for helping me save some money cuz yeesh you cant see that Reticle for S**T
