SIG SAUER P320 Revolutionizes the Polymer Frame Service Pistol

SIG SAUER P320 Revolutionizes the Polymer Frame Service Pistol

Introducing the P320, a polymer-framed service pistol designed from the ground up with the input of law enforcement officers. The result is the most operator-safety focused striker duty pistol on the market today.

Taking into account the concerns of military and police training officers, the P320 provides an enhanced level of safety not found on most modern service pistols. Unlike its competitors, the P320 does not require the operator to pull the trigger nor use a special tool to takedown the firearm for cleaning or routine maintenance.

  2. ReachBlows Dick on November 27, 2021 at 10:21 pm

Cop: " For us, safety, it’s not just a priority, it’s mandatory"

    Sig: " uh…sure, just don’t drop it….."

LOL! Safe to say "safety" went right out the window 😉

When a striker-fired pistol has a misfire you have to rack the slide back to clear the chamber. With a hammer-fired, just pull the trigger again. Its called second strike capability. That’s why I keep my USP.

    Yeah, Drop safe alright

As a P320 owner, I’m calling bullshit. "I want a pistol where the trigger doesn’t have to be pulled to disassemble." Really? Why is it not okay to pull the trigger to disassemble but it’s okay to pull the trigger to practice dry firing? What’s the difference? Remove the mag, check and double check the chamber, and it’s perfectly safe. This is some police chief and sheriff bullshit because they don’t trust their officers and don’t know the first damned thing about firearms. They only know about second guessing and pointing fingers.

Hahaha sure it did. It made this Model handgun more unsafe then ever before. They sure did revolutionize the handgun.

I just took possession of A P320 carry version in 40. When I checked it out the gun shop that sold it showed that the company had made the gun very drop safe by stripping it down and showing that the gun was fixed. Now it shoots great and with NO malfunctions. And this is after firing over 600 rounds through it.

I hope these are actors and not real officers. That recoil control was atrocious…

I love how Glock fanboys literally just come here to pretend people agree with them XD

All pistol makers will be going to striker fire trigger systems, very soon only a few will make all metal guns and double actions. pistol manufactures can not really do anything more to improve function, simple design and light weight poly is the only way to survive at this point.
Sigsauer has priced themself out of the market with a lot of departments and military units so this new p320 line needs to be ramped up with departments that still use the classic line before its to late and glock or s&w gets a grip on them.

I just got my p320 back from the voluntary upgrade program today. The turn around was about 3 weeks, great service. I have to send it back again though. the trigger is rough and crunchy and when I squeeze the trigger the whole slide moves up and down making it impossible to aim. There is also a much larger gap between the frame and the slide now.

Just picked up the P320 carry. Love it so far. Just wish that Sig would have changed the looks of the grip module to try to keep up with the competition. This gun needs to set itself apart from the P250 stigma. Add some color, stippling, thickness variety grip modules and people will buy it! I want this platform to do well. I hope Sig puts out accessories for this particular model. They did a great job on the ergonomics and the slide. Thanks Sig.

Talking about drop safe I just happened to drop mine this morning. Total accident and nothing. I was so relieved. I love my P320

  23. Gabe T on November 27, 2021 at 11:06 pm

Will it fit into the P320 x5 frame?

  24. DOOMSLAYER on November 27, 2021 at 11:11 pm

*cant be dropped. Which is a huge issue when weekly you’ll be falling on it having it whacking in walls and doors.

  25. Chase Champion on November 27, 2021 at 11:14 pm

Seriously, when will the tabbed trigger safety be available?

  26. Amner frias on November 27, 2021 at 11:14 pm

    Drop safe, huh?

  27. Golf Nerd on November 27, 2021 at 11:16 pm

All you people that have EVER dropped a firearm, please don’t go to the range on Tuesdays and Fridays.

  28. Aska Liu on November 27, 2021 at 11:16 pm

so with out the tabbed safety trigger, this gun has no actual firing safety feature apart from "don’t put your finger on the trigger" = .=?
