It’s been four years since you uploaded this. Do you know if Savage has improved the lower limit of the trigger pull?

  2. dennis_4:20 on November 22, 2021 at 10:20 pm

I have the same one! It’s badass!

  3. Logan Meline on November 22, 2021 at 10:22 pm

“In store for $350-$375.” Ha! Not these days.
Try “not available in stores for $450.” Ugh.

  4. Eli Martin on November 22, 2021 at 10:25 pm

Is that a heavy barrel or bull barrel in the video. Just bought same gun with heavy barrel and i was thinking it was gonna be the bull barrel

  5. D Cooper on November 22, 2021 at 10:25 pm

What do you think is the best .17 hmr for the money….300/400 range ? Thank You

  6. jaimes350 on November 22, 2021 at 10:26 pm

nice rifle but dude you should be shooting those candies with open site at that range.
we only ever use scopes for ranges three times that. 😒

  7. Mr smith on November 22, 2021 at 10:26 pm

  16. anzac forever on November 22, 2021 at 10:35 pm

  17. Noah Bergman on November 22, 2021 at 10:37 pm

  18. p47rr on November 22, 2021 at 10:37 pm

Walmart just put them on clearance. $189.00 bought one today!

  19. Carlitos P on November 22, 2021 at 10:38 pm

I have a A17 and it doesn’t work with just about any ammo. Sorry savage but I’ve had trigger problems, feed problems, and jams. I tried to contact customer service but was unsuccessful. It’s an awesome caliber, and deadly accurate, I’ve killed squirrels at 150 yards, but it’s so damn frustrating to always have misfeeds.

  20. J Wood on November 22, 2021 at 10:39 pm

Been wanting to buy this, definitely will be getting it!

  21. chuck Miller on November 22, 2021 at 10:39 pm

It works like the Cetme 308.

  22. rogerwilco59 on November 22, 2021 at 10:40 pm

I am new to your channel and enjoy it very much. How did the A-17 group at 100 yds?

  23. darren m on November 22, 2021 at 10:40 pm

    My A17 has feeding issues
    Used several types of ammo
I think it’s the cheap plastic stock that the magazine loads into… hm..

  24. Jason Powers on November 22, 2021 at 10:41 pm

Who else is here because they got one for $184 at walmart. WHAT A STEAL…

  25. AdurianJ on November 22, 2021 at 10:42 pm

For Swedish hunter the 17 HMR is interresting because it’s a Class 4 round.
This means you can hunt Ptarmigan in the northern mountains with it.

  26. Robert B on November 22, 2021 at 10:45 pm

    What a cool gun!

  27. roboink on November 22, 2021 at 10:46 pm

I have a A17 with Boyd’s thumbhole stock. Came that way from the factory. I bought it used for shooting prairie dawgs and coyotes in Montana. This gun is accurate as all get out. My only problem is the factory mags do not seat well, you have the play around to get them to seat. I also bought 2 butler creek 25 round mags. They seem to seat better. Did you have any problems with this? I like the Hornady TNT ammo you used on the bullet proof glass…that should do fine on coyotes..?

  28. Smitty Baker on November 22, 2021 at 10:46 pm

    That’s a Ruger 10 22 basically

  29. CAUSEDEATH GAMING on November 22, 2021 at 10:47 pm

This rifle will flat out shoot.

  30. D Cooper on November 22, 2021 at 10:48 pm

Would you still recommend the gun ? Merry Christmas !!!

  31. deejayimm on November 22, 2021 at 10:52 pm

" the safety is right where it should be"
The key word there is "right" Lol
    But lefties learn to deal.

  32. Thomas Anderson on November 22, 2021 at 10:53 pm

    On sale at Walmart $99

  33. Shaunn Hartmann on November 22, 2021 at 10:53 pm

How has this gun held up over the years? I’m thinking of getting one.

  34. Squirrel Hunter 4 Life on November 22, 2021 at 10:56 pm

What scope are you useing on this A 17, looks like a bushnell legend ultra hd

  35. scott russell on November 22, 2021 at 10:56 pm

If I had 1 I would be burning a lot of ammo…. I have a bolt savage…. like you I love savage rifles… that’s the only rifle I will buy and have shot for 25 years… only 22 I have not a savage is a marlin 60… I did the trigger on my bolt rifle and it has the accutrigger.. it’s right at 2 pds and very smooth with almost no creep

  36. Ivo Biancucci on November 22, 2021 at 10:58 pm

do you still own the rifle?

  37. Ben Wild on November 22, 2021 at 10:59 pm

What pistol is Plinkster holding at the end of this video please? Anyone, anyone?

  38. Not Available on November 22, 2021 at 10:59 pm

Just deciding between A22 WMR and A17.. what scope are you using and would you use the same on either?

  39. Scramblerkidd on November 22, 2021 at 11:02 pm

I just bought one. The trigger was ungawdly horrible. I polished the sear the proper way with stones and bent the bail spring that lays across the trigger to 90degs. I now have a crisp trigger that breaks at 3.6lbs.

  40. Gungan on November 22, 2021 at 11:04 pm

I feel like there needs to be a calibre at a price point between 22lr and 17hmr.

At that price I might as well get a 9mm or a 223.

  41. Amiel Ianomar on November 22, 2021 at 11:06 pm

    Nice shot bro you’re good

  42. Harry Lieberman on November 22, 2021 at 11:06 pm

Real Good! 50 yards? Very informative, I like it!

  43. tiputipu777 on November 22, 2021 at 11:06 pm

17hmr is high pressure… yeah ok what is 50bmg then?

  44. crorivpro on November 22, 2021 at 11:07 pm

I got one of these with the laminated wood stock. The gun feel perfect like a high end bolt action. I have a Nikon 4-12 scope and it is accurate and a joy to shoot. The 17 HMR is something else. The only downside to this great rifle is it doesn’t work. I’ve seen every video on how to insert the magazine. None of those methods work. The mag hangs slightly down at the rear. I was thinking of using a hammer on it but that would be rash. Oh and wait until you try to load the magazine. You’ll find out very soon this is not and Ruger 10-22 magazine. When shooting from a rest I put upward pressure on the bottom of the mag the gun runs just fine. It’s time to take this bugger apart and see what’s going on.

  45. the88tlc on November 22, 2021 at 11:10 pm

really inexpensive and fun gun. worth spending another $150 on a good boyd stock

  46. Ye on November 22, 2021 at 11:10 pm

Is it loud compared to a 22

  47. jordan johnson on November 22, 2021 at 11:11 pm

I thought it was a crisp trigger???

  48. William Tarr on November 22, 2021 at 11:14 pm
