Unboxing Xiaomi’s Poco M3 Pro 5G, a budget smartphone hitting the UK for under £200 with some of the best specs for that price. This hands-on review runs through the specs, tests the gaming with some CODM and checks out that triple lens camera. We also compare the Poco M3 Pro 5G with the original M3 to see what’s improved.

First, performance. Xiaomi’s latest budget mobile boasts the Dimensity 700 chipset, so PubG, CODM and other Android games will play perfectly and everyday running is smooth. Xiaomi’s MiUI 12 launcher isn’t sluggish here, despite being quite a heavy launcher. Specs wise not much has changed, although the battery has shrunk slightly to 5000mAh. And the camera hardware is basically identical here on the Poco M3 Pro, so expect basic results. Full test results coming with my in-depth review.

So what do you think of this budget-friendly smartphone? It’s launched in the UK on July 8th from £179, or £139 early bird (before midnight on July 9th).
