NEW Taurus GX4: The Next Generation Micro 9mm

NEW Taurus GX4: The Next Generation Micro 9mm

In this episode of TFBTV, Hop reviews the new Taurus GX4. The GX4 is Taurus’ entry into the micro doublestack 9mm market, with a standard magazine capacity of 11 rounds of 9mm in a package barely larger than a Glock 43. It’s also the first Taurus semi-auto handgun with no manual safety lever, because it has a totally redesigned Glock-style trigger. Finally! I’ve never been so happy.

Is the barrel on the gun you tested marked GX3

  2. zulu knight on December 1, 2021 at 10:16 pm

I believe taurus is better than ruger and smith and wesson because of the price and you get the same reliability or better taurus has stepped their game up big-time

  3. JJ on December 1, 2021 at 10:16 pm

    1:00, 4:15,

  4. Bruno KS on December 1, 2021 at 10:16 pm

Taurus made the TS9 here in Brazil (it isn’t available in USA yet). THE best trigger taurus ever made. The GX4 copied a lot of that, but still heavier than the TS9.

I have been re-watching a lot of hop’s videos to help combat crippling anxiety and overwhelming depression. For whatever reason, I am starting to get the impression that hop is either some sort of immortal or possibly even a cyborg.

  6. Matt Archey on December 1, 2021 at 10:20 pm

The hellcat is not optics ready by default

  7. expo on December 1, 2021 at 10:20 pm

Well, you talked me out of the Taurus. Ruger it is and the warranty is next to none

  8. bro science on December 1, 2021 at 10:22 pm

    Good ole Taurus quality…..no thanks

  9. Steemer Xaxon on December 1, 2021 at 10:23 pm

TAURUS is on their way to Being the TOP DAWG ….. just like when sig. First came out THEY WETE GUARANTEED JUNK but look now!!! HOWEVER I HOPE TAURUS DOES BECOME THE BIGGEST DAWG EVER

  10. the realist on December 1, 2021 at 10:24 pm

ihad the 38 for 9 years never had a problem with it like tarus for a self defense gun ilike to go with cheap

  11. Mike on December 1, 2021 at 10:27 pm

I don’t mind not having the optics cut considering it’s for conceal carry.

  12. 21 WRX STI Subaru on December 1, 2021 at 10:29 pm

Msrp $392 on website. I got mines for $394.45 OTD with 2 boxes of 9mm(100rds). I like everything about it, size, weight n price.

  13. Danilo Nakazone on December 1, 2021 at 10:29 pm

It’s nice to see a really good Taurus for a change, and to listen people making positive remarks on it as well ^^

  14. varškėsapkepas on December 1, 2021 at 10:30 pm

Are the sights high enough to be seen through a red dot sight, like on the Ruger Max 9? (if it’s possible to make an estimation)

  15. Shen Tsu on December 1, 2021 at 10:32 pm

People need to let go of the wrong idea that Taurus is junk. You’re making an ass of yourselves.

  16. DrinkableTrees on December 1, 2021 at 10:32 pm

damn im torn between this or the ruger max 9 , fn 503 or the hellcat all seem good options

  17. Larry Garot on December 1, 2021 at 10:33 pm

GX4 for me is EDC therefore not interested in ‘optics’.

    Full size guns I have…yes.

  18. Taasch on December 1, 2021 at 10:34 pm

I want to see this compared to the Glock 26 gen 5. I only have enough money for one carry gun and I want to decide if I can save some money for ammo and spare mags or if I’m going to need to spend more for the Glock.

  19. 5Ring on December 1, 2021 at 10:36 pm

Go back to your video. The Taurus is obviously thinner than the Ruger. The figures you are quoting are the slide widths. If you look at the frame width below the slide in the side-by-side shot, the Ruger is obviously fatter with the safety.

  20. Cyborg Nation on December 1, 2021 at 10:36 pm

I didn’t catch the price but I’m assuming it’s the same as the g3 or ish

  21. Danny Walker on December 1, 2021 at 10:36 pm

You are not supposed to have a full hand grip on these small pocket pistols. They planned it that way. Why don’t you show how easily you can slip that thing into your jeans or shorts? And you also want that little gun to be optics ready. Go figure.

  22. Chris Pham on December 1, 2021 at 10:37 pm

wow, it’s hard to decide between P365 and GX4 now. danggg it… I love both because it is almost identical in size.

  23. John H on December 1, 2021 at 10:38 pm

    339.99

  24. marc0nline on December 1, 2021 at 10:39 pm

I’ll wait for the GX4 T.O.R.O. They probably did this by design, they sell as many as they can with out the T.O.R.O. system then get the same people to by with it.

  25. Kyle Barton on December 1, 2021 at 10:41 pm

The optics argument is moot when a pistol is designed concealment.

  26. 21 WRX STI Subaru on December 1, 2021 at 10:42 pm

Picked up one today for $399

  27. Chris Adams on December 1, 2021 at 10:42 pm

When it comes to Taurus fuck no they are junk firearms when it comes down to it even with there newer models . I say just save your cash and get something better than Taurus to many problems with there guns even with newer models

  28. Michael Taylor on December 1, 2021 at 10:44 pm

Not a glock style trigger. But a rear sight of a glock style rear sight

  29. UWE9mm on December 1, 2021 at 10:45 pm

Who doesn’t love this guy. Hop rock’s brother. Like your knowledge lingo and how you put it your metaphors of sayings in the presentation of ALL the vids You’ve done. It’s a pleasure to watch them. Very knowledgeable and enjoyable to see and listen. It’s Goooood Coooool – Later till the next vid.

  30. Lance Liberty on December 1, 2021 at 10:46 pm

Who puts a red dot on a micro-9 that’s designed for deep concealment? derp

  31. Sierra Golf 762 on December 1, 2021 at 10:46 pm

This video was sponsored by Ruger Max 9😂😂😂

  32. precisionmarksman on December 1, 2021 at 10:47 pm

I disagree about having an optic on a "Pocket" micro pistol.
Micro semi auto pistols seemed to be developed, to fill the use for which the snub-nose revolvers were originally designed, up close combat shooting, not distance.

  33. michael grant on December 1, 2021 at 10:48 pm

Good video. And yes the pinky extension is now available.

  34. PikaBane on December 1, 2021 at 10:48 pm

Reeves will Never do a positive Taurus Review huh lmfaooo

  35. Taasch on December 1, 2021 at 10:48 pm

Imho it’s a pretty attractive pistol. I think if they added finger extension or extended mags I may pick one up depending on how long it takes since I’m also eye balling the hellcat

  36. Skilpadjie on December 1, 2021 at 10:49 pm

Why put a Red Dot on a Pocket pistol. That will increase size and make it not pocket style anymore.

  37. Albert Tran on December 1, 2021 at 10:53 pm

Liking the price of Taurus and the fact that they use Mecgar mazines made in Italy!

  38. Justin Williams on December 1, 2021 at 10:55 pm

Good review but damn man! That low light shoot with the carrier and helmet had me laughing out of my chair!

  39. Mitsurugi2424 on December 1, 2021 at 10:57 pm

I really liked the trigger on my g3….

  40. Michael Taylor on December 1, 2021 at 10:58 pm

Glock like thig it’s an dam taurus not a dam glock

  41. GamerGeek on December 1, 2021 at 11:00 pm

You look like one of the kids from the 80s red dawn.

  42. AmurH on December 1, 2021 at 11:00 pm

what in the Biff’s timeline are we in where we expect Taurus pistols to come optics ready?

  43. ric4326 on December 1, 2021 at 11:02 pm

    Enjoy your reviews, thank you.

  44. Rowdy Ghost on December 1, 2021 at 11:03 pm

For anyone wondering, just bought one a couple of hours ago, in Florida at $360

  45. Greg Pruitt on December 1, 2021 at 11:06 pm

I love what they have done with this micro 9mm. However, I don’t like having to have a tool to break down the gun for cleaning. I can see that flat head being chewed up in short order.

  46. Guero M on December 1, 2021 at 11:08 pm

I luv my g2c but that joke about the trigger was hilarious. Lol

  47. Marc Kovacs on December 1, 2021 at 11:08 pm

It’s a self defense handgun….why would you need an optic on something made for up close and personal? I appreciate the review. I just think that folks need to look at pistols for what they are designed. This is an EDC pistol made for "bam" I need to defend myself. I think too many people are hung up on electronic sights. I have survived a few handgun shootings as a LEO and it was fast. No sights, just get up and in the fight at 10 yards or less. AGAIN – Thanks for the review.

  48. Redmist 2004 on December 1, 2021 at 11:09 pm

    Nice gun Mcfly

  49. Salty_terminal_civilian on December 1, 2021 at 11:09 pm

This gun really is fire and I have several guns over 1000.

  50. Redmist 2004 on December 1, 2021 at 11:13 pm

The gx4 looks like a good gun for the money
