MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat) U.S. Military Issue at Atlantic Firearms
MREs are provided to United States Armed Forces for nutrition during field operations. MREs were adopted in the 1980s and followed the C & K rations of WWII and MCI meals of Korea and Vietnam. Each MRE provides an average of 1,250 calories (13 percent protein, 36 percent fat, and 51 percent carbohydrates) and one-third of the Military Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamins and minerals. MREs are designed for long term storage and packaged very well. If stored under the correct conditions shelf life is estimated between 5 -7 years & up to 10 years if stored in cool dry conditions. All cases have a born on date and a 3 year inspection date .The date on an MREs is the “inspection date” rather than an expiry date. The inspection date is 3 years after the meal was packed. It’s used as a reminder for the US Military to check that the meal’s packaging is in sound. You will be shipped 2 cases of MRE case A & case B containing total of 24 Meals Ready to Eat.

We will ship you both case A and case B.

Actually MRE’s will last quite longer than 5 years. The Gov. which has unlimited and perpetual funding can exercise extreme caution ( which is good) and expire them rather quickly, because there is a never ending resupply. MRE’s are equivalent to "canned" foods, which ( as stated in the video) when cared for correctly ( mainly kept from heat and moisture exposure) can last well beyond 5 years (rule of thumb is 7-11 years) and beyond actually. "C Rations" , the predecessor to MRE’s were canned. I opened and consumed C Rations that were 14 years old, and they were just fine. However the price is just way over the top on these.

Watching this guy try to sell expired bags of actual feces makes me wonder if the guns he sells are as good as he makes them sound .

  13. Benjamin Anderson on November 3, 2021 at 8:56 pm

Used to sell these locally for $40 a pop when getting extras from my unit back in the day. But $90 each? DAMN

So when the ramen noodles run dry, you can eat expired MRE’s, great!

Gross. Mountain house is the best food in this vein. It tastes better, healthier and way less money.

Fun fact: MREs are numbered in the box, eat them in order. Otherwise you’ll create an MRE plug in your gut and two weeks later shit a wicker chair!

MREs,…. when you absolutely have to stop yourself from pooping. That being said, they’re actually pretty good taste wise.
