Well, it’s been a year and I just ordered one for $399 plus tax from Bud’s. Felt like at that price it’s well worth it. Have shot the original shield and I loved the trigger and my girl could grip it in her smaller hands and shoot it safely so with the extra rounds this seems like a great choice. Excited to take it to the range and get some rounds through it.

i ran about 1500 rounds thru mines without cleaning still no errors great gun
Your guns don’t have manual thumb safety though.
I can’t believe Walther still hasn’t followed up with a PPS plus.
I just got my S&W Shield Plus earlier this year (2022). What ultimately sold me was that the guns store had a sale of $50 off (MSRP regularly $550). Plus S&W had a mail in rebate situation. So, I fell for the marketing, but I am not upset. I enjoy shooting it and I feel I got a great, new firearm for a really good deal, considering the times.
I just shoot better if I hit that tree too Hickok, good to focus. 👌🏼
You can fit ten in a regular shield with a mag guts kit !,,
I bought the bug out bundle 5 mags, optics ready and night sights. I did notice the frame has more of a gray stone like texture as opposed to the cerokate matte black finish on the standard Shield Plus. Doesn’t bother me but just an interesting observation.

I know it breaks your heart to say good things about a Smith and Wesson because it’s not a “GLOCK” maybe you could just hide it better..
Wife has the 365 and it’s great for her but feels small in my hand, the shield plus was my winner.

Just got a base Shield Plus for $399. EDIT NOTE: My Shield Plus has a gritty trigger. I applied some ballistol to the Striker Safety in the slide and that helped a bit.

Man I got my shield plus last week traded the 43x and it is amazing it’s optics ready I can run a red dot and already has night sights, costed me 440$ the trigger is so much better than the previous models and the capacity is so much better.

I’m really excited, just picked one up and it’s got a great feel to it. Perfect size for my hands and it’s got a good capacity for a small gun.
Your support hand is a big factor when shooting this pistol. You need a bit more pull into the firing hand to keep it from lurching to the left.
I was in the market for a Hellcat and looking to test fire it at a local gun shop when the guy behind the counter introduced me to the Shield Plus. He let me shoot both and boy, did I eat my words! Can’t wait to take my new M&P out to the range.

What are you using to speed load the shield?
I prefer the flush mags in all my smallies. I can’t stand seeing guys buy like a 365 and carrying with 15 rd extended mags.
Even the 8 round mag on the original shield bugs me.
Idk why anyone would carry anything but a sw striker fired pistol. Live my shield plus and my 4" m&p 2.0. Sw are by far the best guns out there. They nailed it with this new m and p line up
You really can’t go wrong with shield. I was about to buy a Taurus Gx4 but I had second thoughts and went with the Shield 🇺🇸
I bought a S&W Shield Plus earlier this year. I loved it until last week. I have less than 1,000 rounds through the gun and on Sunday, I went to clean it and could not disassemble the gun. I youtubed it and found out the the slide stop spring on the shield plus is exposed just above the takedown lever on inside of frame. It is the only S&W to do this and probably one of the only guns to do this ( terrible idea). There is a little groove that the spring sits in and if it gets out of that groove, it will not allow the user to disassemble the firearm ( the slide will catch on that spring and get jammed). So I contacted S&W and at first they tried to deny the part existed. Then I gave them the part number ( part number 422180000) a user on Youtube mentioned who had same issue and they are mailing me part to take to my gunsmith. They also told me that I should mail the firearm to them for 10 + weeks ( I can’t risk that legislation won’t change illegaly in meantime and secret dictator Obama won’t keep my property). So they said that if I fix the gun on my own ( the same gun that they built faulty from the factory) , then my warranty would no longer be valid if I took the firearm to a licensed gunsmith…. I went from loving the Shield Plus, to absolutely hating it over S&W customer service and the design of the interior of the frame. All it takes is for that exposed spring to come lose and you get totally screwed by S&W! DO not buy the Shield Plus, it is a lemmon out of the box. I wish I could upload a picture to prove it… Just search S&W Shield Plus won’t dissassemble on youtube and you will see the multiple videos of frustrated people with the firearm….
I dont know if anyone else that has one of these has problems withe the slide release. It is incredibly hard to press to release
I’m right handed but left eye dominant. What’s the best way to deal with this?
Just baught a MP9 shield compact. I was shooting luger 9 aluminum and found out it jammed more compared to brass. So now I of course now just use brass thru it…
