An ex coworker was selling me a used Bodyguard for $150 about 3 years ago I think I made a mistake not buying it.

I love mine. I have mag extentions to get a full grip, no pinching. It’s my everyday carry, compeltly reliable.

A trick to get the take down pin back in is to start at 6:00 position push down and twist simultaneously to the locked position it then pops in the rest of the way

Really wanted the Kahr CW380…made here in MA…but I live in shitshow MA. Then looked at the Ruger LCP…but I live in turdistan MA. So now looking at this cuz it’s compliant here in shithole MA. God I can’t wait to move to a red state once my daughter goes off to college…

For the takedown pin you have to line it up just right so it will meet the other retaining port. Just a little fidgetting.
I found pushing it while twisting it with your thumb and finger just move from 9 to 12 then down to 6 while pushing that pin and it will slide right in like butter.

This is my EDC, small, light, and easy to conceal. I have the version with the integrated laser. Great little gun and I don’t mind the heavier trigger pull because I hate safetys. Have it loaded with Liberty Civil Defence. Can’t argue with 1500fps .380.
I’m a big M&P fan, hate the bodyguard.

My S&W .380 is my everyday carry. It just slips into my front pants pocket so easily. I’ve never had a malfunction, and it’s more than accurate enough for self defense.
Should not have to beat on any machinery to get something to work, bad!

Why would you need a lazer sight ?that is just show off crap..
I have owned several small pistols but the BG 380 is my favorite. It acts and shoots like a bigger gun. As he states it is very well made and shoots very well. I love the DAO with a safety the best. Double strike ability in a semi auto is a real plus. Be carefull of ammo selection as light primer strikes can happen. Hornady was the worst and I settled on Gold Dots after talking with S & W. 250 rounds all fired 1st strike. Best of luck!
Given what Ruger has done with the new LCP Max, I hope S&W and others follow their lead and start making their own double-stack 380 carry guns. Come on, guys, you can do it.

Alright, so that covers just about everything on those “Pocket-Rockets “, except !!…..So far , I have checked out a number of Expert’s YouTube channels covering this little pistol , and I have noticed only one of them has even Mentioned, that it has a Laser Sight on it, but still NOT ONE , has demonstrated any shooting with it in the day OR Night Light with it… So, what’s up with that ??… It is a Crimson Trace Laser , right ? So a person should be able to see it in the daylight , right ???….. Has it proven to be something Substandard or of Low quality ?… 🤨
I really don’t like the trigger feel on this .380. Many talk about getting used to it, but the inconsistency and long (some say heavy) pull just doesn’t do it for me. Seen some kits to "fix" it but have also talked to my gun shop and they don’t recommend them.
Thinking of picking up one of these or the Taurus spectrum 380. Anyone got a better recommendation all these years later? lol

After seeing Hickok hit the gong at a distance of 80 yards with a microsubcompact .380..that sold me on this pistol…which I used to pass my state CCW RANGE TEST WITH…👍👍

ok…so here everyone seems to love this gun and see it’s great .. I was reading a review by someone yesterday and in the comments there everybody said it sucked .. I could have picked one up for 275 from my neighbor .. almost brand new
I’ve got about 700 rounds through my Bodyguard .380 and have disassembled it probably 20 times. Reassembly is super easy, Hickok just didn’t have the pin lined up. Put the pin back in at the 3 o’clock position, line it up with the hole on the opposite side, and it clicks right into place. It’s literally a three second thing.
