I’m a healthy 69 year old male I can rack a Shield 9mm, but I don’t find pleasure shooting a firearm with big recoil. That’s why I bought this pistol. And I’m considering trading my shield for the shield 9mm EZ. Why wouldn’t you want to shoot a gun that the slide racks easy, the magazines load easy, the takedown for cleaning is easy. You do not let me repeat you do not need to be a woman, or disabled, or a senior citizen to love this gun. Those are macho snobs that think they have it going on. Don’t listen to theses goofs, buy this gun you will love it. Smith & Wesson has hit it out of the park with this EZ series weapons. Way to go boys plus American made with lifetime warranties.

  2. Ronald Arand on April 21, 2022 at 6:09 pm

Just bought one and it is a nice firearm. I am 74 and was having some difficulty racking the slide on my Bersa, the ez is so easy to rack and comfortable to shoot

  3. Ginnie Q on April 21, 2022 at 6:09 pm

This gun was made for me, Grandma. Weakness in hands. Grip feels good and fits small hand. Recommend this video, but would like to see videos going slower step by step. Thanks

  4. Baritony on April 21, 2022 at 6:10 pm

I have diminished hand strength, from well,—you know what. When I’m alone, I try to be romantic and light a candle. Then I try and shoot it out, you know, like at a carnival. Don’t ever invite me to a birthday party.D A

I am a retired Police firearms instructor and currently own West Cove Range where still I do firearms training for Law Enforcent agencies, citizens, church security teams and private business owners. I have had several of the SW EZ on the range. Most of them brought by women. There has been a lot not being able to obtain a high grip on the firearm and the grip safety, being upside down, (my opinion), is almost impossible for some people with small hands to mash. I really dont like these firearms and I hate to say that about a Smith and Wesson. I’ve seen too many problems on the range with them. Doug

  6. gtd 4570 on April 21, 2022 at 6:11 pm

This gun is for anybody. Never had a problem with a back strap safety after putting thousands of rounds through 1911. Been shooting since 1969.

  7. C.J. LaChapelle on April 21, 2022 at 6:15 pm

I am a first time gun buyer I bought this gun a couple of months ago and I LOVE IT….

  8. steve chavez on April 21, 2022 at 6:17 pm

Great channel! Own this gun and love it. I’m in Denver, where you located. How do you like the Glock 42? Thanks

  9. Ty Crane on April 21, 2022 at 6:17 pm

I only have one thing to say John Browning come out with that caliber obviously it serves a purpose

  10. Benjamin Danielsen on April 21, 2022 at 6:17 pm

I dunno man, I’m a 6’6" 300lb giant that could realistically conceal a Government 1911, but the idea of a gun I could potentially use with only one hand sounds pretty awesome to me. As for my thoughts on it being "just a 380," if 380 was good enough to start World War I, I’d say that it’s more than enough for me.

  11. Thomas Temple on April 21, 2022 at 6:18 pm

I bought this for my wife and she has not much strength in fingers to rack a full size hand gun. It got caught up in the recall and had to send it back to Smith. I sighted it in before sending it and had to move rear sight about 2/3 of the way to the right to print center on target at 20 feet. After sending it in and returning it to me I went to check it on paper and it shot 6 inches left of center at 20 feet. I again sent it back and wanted it checked for the reason above and it returned but it still had to have rear sight moved all the way to the right to print close to center. Don’t get me wrong I like the gun just not happy with site having to be all the way to the right to hit center mass, and yes have used several types of ammo. Any one else with this problem?

  12. DT Snake Eyes on April 21, 2022 at 6:19 pm

So is this weapon good for first time owners? I’m neither a grandma, weak wristed or a woman. I’ve never owned a weapon or fired one, but am looking for something for first timers and on the inexpensive side.

  13. Jessica Martinez on April 21, 2022 at 6:21 pm

Is there any extended Magazines for this gun ?

  14. Jane Sheridan on April 21, 2022 at 6:22 pm

I just got mine & I’m exactly the population you spoke about. I’m 73 and because of osteoarthritis, I have limited hand strength & flexibility. Thanx for the low down!!

  15. Solo401 on April 21, 2022 at 6:23 pm

I just bought one for my mother for when she comes to the range. She’s 70 now and can’t rack a slide. I bought her a Ruger Wrangler and she loves it but after a few cylinders her thumb starts hurting. I’m hoping this is a viable option for her. If not I have a cool little addition to the collection. I got the gold performance center one coming. John Wick’s Mom’s gun.

  16. Jennifer Jones on April 21, 2022 at 6:23 pm

I’m a 51 year old woman and I bought this gun a week ago (this is my first hand gun) and I like it. It has made me more comfortable around guns and I signed up for a series of trainings to make me a trained and responsible gun owner. I bought a 20 gauge shotgun before I got this gun but I had difficulty racking the shotgun so my Instructor recommended this to me. Gun ownership is intimidating and a new world to me but I want to learn.

  17. Bagged Chevy on April 21, 2022 at 6:24 pm

I have a Glock 43x and my mom has the 380 ez. We went to the range a couple days ago and I hadn’t had a chance to shoot hers yet so I decided to give it a try. As much as I absolutely love my Glock, I didn’t wanna put her 380 ez down after I started shooting it lol awesome gun!

  18. Nick Johnson on April 21, 2022 at 6:26 pm

got this for my wife about 6 months ago she loves it though 380 is some of the hardest ammo to find in my area right now

  19. Johnna Burke on April 21, 2022 at 6:28 pm

My EDC is a Kimber micro 9 which I dearly love and I also carry a LCP2 when deep concealment is preferred. I just purchased the 380ez for a couple of important reasons. First and foremost I am left handed and finding a handgun with left hand features is nearly impossible. My Kimber is a right-hand pistol. When I checked out the 380ez with the left hand thumb safety and mag release I was sold. Also I prefer easy rack slide too. The 380ez is a bit larger than I prefer, I like sub compacts. But I think that a compact size will work out. BTW, the 380 is a good self defense round especially when most self defense action occurs within 15 feet.

  20. Jason on April 21, 2022 at 6:29 pm

Have you found a holster for it owb for the range

  21. Roger Williams on April 21, 2022 at 6:32 pm

I just bought this gun. I think it’s just perfect for me. I dont have the grip I used to have. The mag is easy to load for sure. I haven’t shot it yet but I think it will fill the bill. Mine does have the side safety and that will make it easy for CC.

  22. silverone144 on April 21, 2022 at 6:33 pm

Good video! Just picked one up then saw your review. Thanks. Btw.. what brand sunglasses are those?

  23. I. H. on April 21, 2022 at 6:34 pm

I have carpal tunnel and looking for a CC gun. Thanx

  24. Hidden Ninja on April 21, 2022 at 6:36 pm

It has a bit of 1911 but also h&k 45

  25. Keith Schmittou on April 21, 2022 at 6:36 pm

My son got a 380 EZ for me when I became unable to rack my Bersa. I would have liked to have a safety switch on it, but the hand grip safety proves to be adequate. If the pistol is dropped, the hand grip safety prevents accidental discharge. Even though the 380 EZ is designed for people with lesser capabilities, it surely would serve anyone who wants a defensive weapon for primary carry.

  26. Ty Crane on April 21, 2022 at 6:37 pm

I love the gun it’s easy for a lazy person, I don’t have the time or money to spend all the time at the range. It’s the easiest shooting handgun that I’ve ever known, what counts is putting your Shots on target

  27. Funky Babyyy on April 21, 2022 at 6:38 pm

I wish there was an extended mag 😭😭😭

  28. Ayethatque on April 21, 2022 at 6:40 pm

Just bought this it my first gun

  29. Steven Wisdom on April 21, 2022 at 6:41 pm

Thanks for the review. We just bought one for my wife. With R.A. she can’t handle the recoil of most pistols. We haven’t picked it up yet but will let you know how it goes first day on the range.

  30. Stephen Scheiderer on April 21, 2022 at 6:43 pm

I wish I didn’t have bought it. I didn’t realize it’s made for people with disability’s or elderly. I’m kinda embarrassed to tell anyone I got it as my first carry gun if that’s everyone’s impressions of it.

  31. grumblekin on April 21, 2022 at 6:45 pm

This gun looks great! A gun you can accurately fire and fire often because of low recoil is the best carry gun ever.

You can put 500 rounds through this and get good with it.

  32. SRT - 2 on April 21, 2022 at 6:46 pm

Do you think the light trigger is safe for someone new to firearms?

  33. Lito XxLito_AxX on April 21, 2022 at 6:48 pm

Just shot this gun and wow, I was like Soo excited that it is going to be my first purchase, only didn’t buy it because they were out of them

  34. Mundis on April 21, 2022 at 6:48 pm

The last Sunday I bought myself an M4 and in the process my mother got one of these for herself and it really is a gun that’s made for her. Main reason why I’m here watching, so I can help teach her.

  35. Jeff Colwell on April 21, 2022 at 6:49 pm

Have one question will a 9mm mag fit this just asking because I bought one formyself

  36. Mups_Mom on April 21, 2022 at 6:49 pm

I just got this gun on Saturday first time ever shooting a gun was yesterday it was great to shoot and easy to learn on. I was nervous that it was going to have a lot of recoil snd it has next to none

  37. Rhino on April 21, 2022 at 6:51 pm

Underrated gun for sure. I pocket carry an LCP II in .380 so I definitely see the value in having something bigger without needing multiple calibers.

  38. Kay Caylor on April 21, 2022 at 6:51 pm

Everything I shot at I missed with my wife’s 380 ez. It’s like the bullets bang but disappeared. I think new shooters should purchase longer barreled pistols for accuracy before you get such a small gun. One man’s opinion.

  39. Terrence Brown on April 21, 2022 at 6:53 pm

I’m going to puke if I hear one more reviewer say this gun is for the weak and arthritic. Bottom line, if you accept 380 as an SD carry, then why does it have to be difficult to operate in order to be “manly”? It’s concealable, easy to shoot, easy to shoot accurately, and feels good in my hand (I can get a solid grip with the pinkie). Choose the best SD ammo for your comfort and be done with it. There is nothing on the S&W website that says this is for ladies and seniors so these reviewers do a disservice to the 380 EZ when they refer to it as a gun for inferior shooters. Twenty three years a Marine and I carry it.

Also, I’m surprised none of the reviewers really get into why there’s double safety on this gun. Remember, it has an internal hammer and is not striker fired. If you carry with a round in the chamber, the hammer is cocked. There is no way to decock the hammer, as this is a single action fired weapon only! It’s great for getting off a quick and accurate first shot, but if I’m carrying with a cocked hammer I really appreciate having the extra layer of safety. Because I fired the M9 Beretta for so many years, the thumb safety is natural to me. Just my opinion.

Anyway, thumbs up on the video. Keep up the good work.

  40. marqsade07 on April 21, 2022 at 6:53 pm

Well, … I have to use a few round gun because it’s the law in my state/county (Illinois/Cook), no more than 10, so I’d be stupid to go for an 18 round.  I’m not disabled, I don’t have arthritis nor Parkinson, and I’m NOT a big shaky old grandma, so asshole, why shouldn’t I use something as easy as this gun?  Besides this pistol IS NOT tiny, midget, small, sub-compact, pocket, etc.
    A grandpa.

  41. mason giles on April 21, 2022 at 6:54 pm

Screw that airplane and I recently purchased the 380 EZ for my first daily carry and I love it I am very fond of the grip and lever safety on it and I can carry with out the worry of an accidental discharge with the redundancy inside of it

  42. Charles Letterman on April 21, 2022 at 6:54 pm

Tiny ? I thought it was somewhat larger than most .380

  43. Earl Tash on April 21, 2022 at 6:56 pm

Girlfriends been shooting great with hers.
No hiccups yet after bout 50 rounds….

  44. Douglas Shaw on April 21, 2022 at 6:56 pm

I bought one for my wife who has nerve damage in her hand. Took her to the range she loved it!! I shot it and fell in love and bought me one, carry it everyday now. Ez to conceal, light, and comfortable. Compared to my sig 320 that I carried everyday. I like the eternal trigger, and the design of the gun.

  45. whitesands on April 21, 2022 at 6:56 pm

Great review. I would just like add the reason for the grip safety is the M&P 380 is hammer fired and single action only so you’re basically carrying around a pistol with the hammer in the cocked position, and trigger safety mechanism can still actuate in case of a drop. So it’s necessary for the design. Take care!

  46. Paris LaBossiere on April 21, 2022 at 6:58 pm

This video was boring af bro!!! Jus standing there talking bout the gun was lame. Try to be more creative!!

  47. puresound98 on April 21, 2022 at 6:59 pm

Just subbed…for TWO reasons. (One) You actually READ your comments and respond to your audience and (TWO) GREAT VIDEO!!

  48. Robert Salyers on April 21, 2022 at 7:02 pm

I own this weapon in 9 mm ez and I absolutely love it. I’ve owned many handguns before this one.this M&P 9mm ez is by far my favorite

  49. Baritony on April 21, 2022 at 7:03 pm

Good video. It seems unusual for a safety but what are the disadvantages of a "grip" safety? And the advantages? Thanks and I’ll be watching.

  50. Anthony Marez on April 21, 2022 at 7:03 pm

    That’s nice little pew
