Mountain lion hunt with a Rossi lever action rifle

Mountain lion hunt with a Rossi lever action rifle

While Fred and Michele are bird hunting in Texas, oldest son Jeb cuts a mountain lion track. With Stealthcam pictures showing this cat camping out in some of the best deer and elk country on the property, it was time to take it out.

Fred Eichler is a man of personal achievement. His passion for bowhunting has taken him all over the world in pursuit of his next adventure. Fred truly believes that any animal with a bow is a trophy. His personal quest to complete the North American Super Slam with a recurve bow reflects that state of mind. In mid August of 2009 Fred harvested a cow Tule Elk to become the first to take all 29 North American big game animals with a recurve bow and complete the Super Slam. Fred has been fortunate enough to share his love and enthusiasm of the sport with fellow bowhunters across the country through his television shows and personal appearances. If you ever run across Fred in the woods or at your local bow shop you’ll be greeted with a big smile and friendly handshake. Bowhunting is more than a passion for him, it’s a way of life.

Why not relocate them ( rather than kill them ) to another location /state ?

I have the Rossi Model 92 in 44 magnum. It’s a lot of fun to shoot.

I hear that mountain lion is delicious. I would never hunt a carnivore myself though. I absolutely love any big cats. Which is funny because I hate most house cats

They’re meat eaters.. are they safe to eat?

I had a chance to try some young fresh killed bobcat a few years ago. Didn’t know what my work partner would think about it , He hinted to try some but I didn’t catch it. We had skinned her already to save the hide for my daughter. The meat was real nice looking, too. I regret not trying it having always been told cat meat was tasty. Sure hated that it went to the coyotes.

What an awesome hunt!! congratulations! Fred we actually met in the denver airport in 2012 or 13 and there was a snow storm and I believe you were headed home to run cats at the ranch. I still have your card and the book that you gave me! One of these days I am going to book a lion hunt and come run one with you!

Back to the cat meat and video. Glad to see y’all don’t waste the meat and help keep them from overpopulating, not to mention keeping the game animals in balance. Congratulations on your hunt! Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.

Mountain Lions when hungry should be taught to go to Mc Donalds or Super Market when hungry, the real predators are humans

NJ has over 300,000 deer. Set some loose up there.
