Can the bolt pop out and kill you well your shooting it?!

  3. Rustic Redd on December 9, 2021 at 7:25 pm

I’m impressed by fast you can cycle that bolt action. I’ve wanted a 12 gauge bolt action shotgun for a while now and I found one of these online for $100 that didn’t come with a magazine. So I did some research and after watching this video I realized I couldn’t buy the gun. I was disappointed. Thanks for posting!

I’ve hunted with one of these for years growing up, my dad had one. Killed my first deer with it. No telling how many squirrels, great shotgun

  7. Kaybe Vang on December 9, 2021 at 7:33 pm

Will it take glamming dragon breath rounds ?

  8. Jerry G on December 9, 2021 at 7:34 pm

My first firearm was a Mossberg model 190 (same gun in 16 ga.) that I bought used for $22 back in the mid 60’s. Shoveled a lot of snow for that gun! Took all manner of small game – grouse, cottontails, squirrels, etc. Ugliest gun I ever owned, but I still have it.

I have one of these in 410

  10. Lou Simms on December 9, 2021 at 7:35 pm

What’s the name of that shotgun that reloads by the trigger/ handle part opening and closing every time you shoot? Such a cool gun but I can never remember what it’s called

  11. Terry Merryman on December 9, 2021 at 7:36 pm

I have one of these that I received in a trade years ago. I love this shotgun. The first time I shot it I tightened up the choke sighted the sight at a 40 yard target and shot dead center about 2” high. The sight on mine works great. I’ve since installed a barrel mount holographic sight. It shoots slugs great. Just remember to tighten down the choke. #4 shot with the choke open works good at close range but not to great over 50 yards.

Some may say that bolt action rifles are outdated but the sound of the bolt rotating is one of the most beautiful sounds guns may produce.

  15. Dwight Emery on December 9, 2021 at 7:41 pm

I own one… wish I had an extra clip for it… hard to find extra clips… I love the old gun… I use it for all kinds of shooting and also one time for self defense and it worked for that as well… very effectively…

  16. Garrett Cole on December 9, 2021 at 7:46 pm

  22. Artful Dodger on December 9, 2021 at 7:55 pm

Just curious, have you ever shot steel through this gun?

  23. dalan wanbdiska on December 9, 2021 at 7:57 pm

My buddy has one for sale. Its 12 gauge. It loads from the bottom tube like a pump action. He wants $300 for it. I might just get it yet. Has the clect choke also. Looks the same as this one.

I have one that was my grandfathers old pheasant gun. My grandmother bought it for him in 1950 and he passed it down to me a few years before he passed. It’s one of my most treasured guns along with his 1964 Winchester model 94

Is it possible to add a scope or red dot sight on it? It’ll be a cheap option than buying a savage 220

  29. What's in a name that the captives go free? on December 9, 2021 at 8:00 pm

Is it designed to shoot foster slugs on the imp. cyl. setting? Would shooting slugs damage this type of choke?

Try Havlin sales for mags. They specialize in Mossbergs

  33. Randy Schmittou on December 9, 2021 at 8:05 pm

I have a 16 guage that I inherited. It was my Grandpa’s shotgun. Some of my fondest memories with my Dad, Big Daddy and my 2 brothers out at my other Grandpa’s farm shooting squirrels and cans. God Bless America

  34. Randy Schmittou on December 9, 2021 at 8:06 pm

That’s some mighty fine shooting! Very good review. Thanks for sharing. I need to get my 16 guage out that used to be my Grandpa’s and clean it up. This is the gun that I started Turkey hunting with. I hunt with a Mossberg 835 now. I love my Mossbergs!!! They are tough on Turkeys!!!

  35. Henry Murphy on December 9, 2021 at 8:06 pm

I shot many rabbits and my 1st quail with one of these shotguns in 20 gauge. It was my brother-in-laws gun (my sister was 20 years older then me, and he was 23 years older). My family spent every Thanksgiving on their 68 acre farm in Maryland. I am 68 years old now and have fond memories of hunting with my brother-in-law every year, he with his 16 gauge double barrel and me with his 20 gauge. His son (my nephew) gave me the gun after his father passed away, I still have it.

  36. jj Mack on December 9, 2021 at 8:06 pm

I have a 1965 190d in 16 gauge, now since 16 gauge slugs are almost impossible to find I’ve been making underbore 60 cal round ball and sverboy Russian slugs for it. The round ball is acceptable for using 3d printed sabots and the sverboy is fullbore at .660 . Accuracy for the rb is about 5" groups at 70 yards while the sverboy are just shy of 3" at 75 yards. Not bad for a 16 I paid $40 bucks for .

I have one of these in the closet as well. It’s a gun that my dad had, was around since I can remember, so not sure when he acquired it but at least by mid 60s if not in the 1950s. The first shotgun I hunted with as a teenager in the early/mid 1970s. First trip out hunting after doing the Hunter’s Safety Course in Western Ks. Must have been a fairly cold/windy day, nearly stepped on a pheasant before it came up. I fired on it quick enough that it was back in the ground less than 20 feet out. I was then instructed to "Let ’em get a bit farther out before shooting." I was a fairly good shot at 13, spent summers with a bb gun honing skills.

  48. Jose Bracho on December 9, 2021 at 8:21 pm

Found one at a pawn shop . And also a 22 cal rifle with a tube feeder…. Do you shoot slugs with the full open choke??

  49. Justin Anger on December 9, 2021 at 8:22 pm

I had one the safety selector fell off which made the trigger pull like half a pound. Got rid of it because it was a hazard having the trigger that light. I was really fun to shoot though

  50. Smile Life on December 9, 2021 at 8:22 pm

Can you make a video how to properly clean this type of gun?
