Nice update. I like how you have isolated each line to the engine facility
Like the switch idea..have to take notes..thanks for sharing. .
THANKS VIDEO DETAIL
Hey Deryk..nice work and looks good! Glad the mini toggles worked out.
what is the house hold switch for?
Good work.
make it light up with lights that will be cool!!!!!!!!!! Justin Moyer
That’s a great idea! After a while it gets a little annoying to have all of the locomotives idling, and it can limit the DCC system’s available power. Plus, it’s not like the locomotives in an engine facility are always idling.
Thanks!
Cam and Ryan
can you do a how to on toggle switches
hey Deryk… great update…. i like your "temp" control panel…. engine house looks great… can you tell me the length & width of the structure… just curious because it seem the ones i am building are way bigger….is there room for one loco per stall..
thanks for sharing
vinny
Deryk, another great how to and demo video!! The engine house looks amazing! I really like the weathering you did. Thanks for the shout out and we’ll be seeing ya next week!!
What gauge wire did you use for your bus line and feeders???
great work and Idea with the toggle switches ! I like it !
Nice work! I still want to do the same thing to mine. I’ll get to it one of these days. Thanks for showing how you did it…
Love the engine house! I want to see what you do, but I guess the video still uploading, because it has no sound! I’ll get back to it in a few minutes. RT
Looking great there Deryk. Thanks for showing the wiring, something that doesn’t get the coverage deserves. Youtubemodelrailroaders is coming along nicely too. Thanks for starting that up, and thanks for sharing your layout with us too. Keep safe, jason
Nice work! -Mitch
I think we have the same temporary hahahahaha
Appreciate the tips and sharing the layout and operations..
Did you split the two copper wires with the thermostat wire?
I wish you lived by me id pay you to wire my layout up.
Great idea on the Toggles cheers Robert
That is an awesome idea! do’t mind if I borrow it!? Your engine house looks great and the fueling facility is at the entrance on the diesel house in a lot of the pictures that I’ve seen ( not all of them ). But is up to you play around with placement until your satisfy with one. Thanks for all the cool info about all the events. RT
Hey Deryk, sounds like you have a great line up for the YouTube Model Builders Live show. I’m really looking forward to the first episode. The toggle switch board looks to work very well. The engine shop looks fantastic as well. Thanks for the update!
Ethan
Nicely done D
That’s what I was looking for. So you just put red on one side and white on the other?
Deryk I am kinda new to your channel and I was wondering if u have any sound decoder installation videos
all looks good think I do something on my layout
Nice update, Deryk. That diesel house looks gooood on your layout 🙂
Very nice. I am going to have to do this when I install my turn table.
Looks really awesome, makes me wish I had went this route instead of my roundhouse. Thanks for sharing!
Nice update Deryk. Engine house looks good. Great idea with the toggles and if the panel works keep it. Keep up the good work man. Later,John
Nice work Deryk, I think that a great idea to cut power to the loco’s you’ll not using….smart kid you are grasshopper.

Looks awesome D! Glad you got it in and working!
Best,
John
Looks good Deryk switching only one rail is genius cutting down on wiring and the expense of double throw toggles. Reminds me a trick the old man taught me with DC layouts. Cutting one rail and installing a diode on a dead end section so can kill it on the way in and always reverse out.
Nice update. I’m impressed with your wiring. Always been one of my weaker points and doesn’t look half as good as yours, it looks like NASA control under my yard. Like the locomotives too… looking forward to the next update!
Jason
Very nice Deryk. Sure beats to listening to a bunch of loco’s running when not being used. I like the temp panel , came out real nice. Good job. Mike
Thanks for the great video Deryk!
Mike
another guy should be MonsterRailroad
Nicely done D
Good Idea Deryk, I’ll be doing the same with mine, it’s surprising how much power the decoders use , even sitting with no sound, they get warm. This saves power and saves a bit of life on the decoder.
Cheers Gregg
A year old but still an awesome video, thanks Deryk. Hopefully I can set something like this up once I get my layout going.
