Hi Richard the man who started Kimber Leslie Edelman. Owned a huge gun store in New York just over the city line in Nassau county. So anyone who wanted a long gun and lived I the 5 boroughs of NYC went there if you didn’t want to register the piece. We didn’t have pictures on a NYS drivers license. I guess he saw the writing on the wall and started Kimber. The good old days. They had everything probably dozens of ARs, AKs and everything else. He quietly closed one day. Then a few other stores popped up and are one of two still there.

    Excellent episode Richard

I’m more impressed with your little gun shed range. You even put paintings and decent furniture in it.

Hello there! First time here today, due to the fact I myself have owned a Kimber Micro 9, now for a couple months, after treating myself for a smaller concealed carry handgun, after my poor previous choice of a Glock 23,gen4,.40 cal, I bought thinking only about firepower/price/dependability, not realizing how difficult concealing in sunny Florida would be! I went with the Kimber because I inherited a Colt Mustang , off an uncle who had bought back in the early 80’s, a first generation Mark IV Series 80, as its technically known by, till being called Mustang in 1986, after some improvements. All were just .380. Between smallish cal. along with value, monetary an sentimental, I never considered using it for concealed carry. But I’ve wanted a Kimber for a while now. Side by side the Kimber is much nicer looking, while shooting better with harder hitting ammo. Plus my uncle had run at least 800 rounds through, before I ran at least another hundred, so even though it’s well cared for, it does show some wear. My Micro 9 is a two tone Rosewood, without Crimson Sites. I have added the MCARBO spring kits, that are very nice to ease the shots. But right out of the box I got a 5” group at 10 yards, 8” at 15 yards and all 7 within a man sized paper target at 20 yards, in 7 seconds! With all kinds of ammo! Very nice little handgun!

Been my EDC for the last year , excellent little pistol. Another fine review

When I hear people being critical of Kimber I find that those people got into fireams more recently and they are just parroting what they have heard in some cases. Before Kimber’s were mass produced and the prices came down they were Cadillac 1911s. I’d like to fire a newer one to see where the quality went downhill in the opinions of other people. As long as the firearm has a decent warranty, any defect should be addressed. I’d like to form an opinion myself. Glad the gun performed well for you and you liked it.

I like it but my hands are too big. Fiancee has one and she absolutely adores hers.

  11. David Haines on October 30, 2021 at 10:59 pm

Just purchased my first micro 9… waiting to get out on the range

  12. carl roberts on October 30, 2021 at 10:59 pm

Is this gun DA or single ?

  13. Shane Gibb on October 30, 2021 at 11:02 pm

Kimber make great rifles and that pistol looks very nice too ! I bet if you could keep it Richard , you would get very good accuracy out of it with practice.

  14. D Brown on October 30, 2021 at 11:03 pm

Cool workshop and range. Nice setup.

  15. Chad Rupp on October 30, 2021 at 11:04 pm

I thought this would be a good EDC but it has been the most unreliable gun purchase I have ever made. I would not suggest this as a carry piece.

  16. Jin Heu on October 30, 2021 at 11:07 pm

    How much

  17. Dark Knight on October 30, 2021 at 11:08 pm

Picks this up a couple months back after getting rid of my 40c. It was too bulky for me. My only complaint with the Micro 9 is that it’s a high maintenance gun; I have to clean it everytime I go to the range. I owned a plethora of pistols and never field stripped them for a full cleaning. This lil bitch will jam on you if you don’t take care of her.

  18. Jin Heu on October 30, 2021 at 11:10 pm

So U think 450 shipped is a good deal ????

  19. 1Skeptik1 on October 30, 2021 at 11:11 pm

I bought one for $500 at Rural King. "Fixed" sights very good out of the box. Recommended!

  20. Jonathan Rodriguez on October 30, 2021 at 11:12 pm

Shoots good, after all, is for close range

  21. Mike Leal on October 30, 2021 at 11:12 pm

Good video. Looking for a new carry and enjoyed watching this before purchase. Thank you for making.

  22. Kato505 on October 30, 2021 at 11:15 pm

Just purchased one with rosewood grips. Your reviewed helped ease a bit of anxiety. I’ve read some mixed reviews from other videos. Haven’t had a chance to get it out on the range.

  23. ERJG 1954 on October 30, 2021 at 11:16 pm

Thank you, nice review, will subscribe. Not a fan of Kimber. I bought a Solo, and could never get it to feed a full mag despite multiple types of ammo, 8 different factory mags, downloading mags, etc,. I can understand new firearm issues, but Kimber eventually abandoned the product and the customers that bought it.

  24. steven stark on October 30, 2021 at 11:17 pm

Just bought one with rosewood grips for 539.00 if you don’t like lazors why spend the extra 200.00 unless thats all you could find, mines under the tree, will have to wait a few weeks to try out, nice video sir

  25. Concept Channel on October 30, 2021 at 11:23 pm

Nice review, Cept the Obvious, I would not trust a kimber as toilet paper, butthurt company, when the review is honest, you may have got a "Broke in" test gun., otherwise, Junk…..

  26. garageguy879 on October 30, 2021 at 11:28 pm

I"m sure it’s a good pistol but the takedown is a little too busy for me.Other than that, another good video.

  27. Rocket Scientist on October 30, 2021 at 11:30 pm

It’s a close copy of the Detonics who made mostly 45’s but also some 9mm’s. Take down is identical.

  28. Murphy B'nn-Ninja on October 30, 2021 at 11:31 pm

I like your style. Good video, great review. Thanks man 🙏🎦🔫✅

  29. Pete Paasch on October 30, 2021 at 11:32 pm

I have the micro 9 stg. I carry it over my 365 and m&p. Why? Because I love the the feel in my hand. It feels heavier but isn’t. It allows me to put 7 rnds on target more quickly than my other compacts. Lastly 1 failure in approximately 1000 rounds of mostly target ammo gives me confidence that when I pull the trigger with HST ammo I will hit.

  30. 880videoman on October 30, 2021 at 11:33 pm

Just purchased the micro ESV model with the gold barrel… great video. I like the fact you show the actual distance when at range in the same frame and not only saying what distance your shooting from. Definitely going to sub

  32. Ricardo Miguel on October 30, 2021 at 11:38 pm

I just purchased one, thought you couldn’t beat a Glock 43 but this one is it. Good no nonsense video and the micro 9 is now my EDC. Being from Alabama I like the fact it was made here.

  33. Doughnut363 on October 30, 2021 at 11:38 pm

I’ve been a glock boy since going into law enforcement in 07. I took a chance in this piece a little over a year ago and hate how much I love this thing.

  34. No Pro on October 30, 2021 at 11:39 pm

Dang she’s a beauty it looks like it would be really heavy but it’s actually on the light side. A bit pricey for me seems a little too many edges for Carry but boy it’s sharp looking.

  35. RL on October 30, 2021 at 11:41 pm

Love my Kimbers, I EDC a micro 9 and its the most comfortable. Kimber is my #1 choice in sidearms.

  36. Lustly Mariam on October 30, 2021 at 11:44 pm

  37. Arizona Ghostriders on October 30, 2021 at 11:49 pm

Every Kimber I’ve fired is top notch. No doubt this would be a great carry piece.
