Is This Really An Affordable High-end .38 Special Revolver From Taurus?! – 856 Executive Grade

Taurus 856 Executive Grade .38 Special Revolver
https://bit.ly/2CHLudt

I recently had the opportunity to handle and shoot the Taurus 856 Stainless Steel & Walnut .38 Special Revolver Executive Grade, and I was impressed with its build quality and performance.

The stainless steel frame gave the revolver a solid and sturdy feel, and the walnut grip with stippled texture provided a comfortable and secure hold.

The Executive Grade version’s enhanced trigger was a noticeable improvement over the standard version, allowing for smooth and consistent trigger pulls.

The 2-inch barrel and six-shot capacity make it an excellent choice for concealed carry, while still providing enough firepower for self-defense situations.

During my time with the revolver, I did not experience any issues with cylinder lockup or failure to rotate properly, which I had read about in some reviews.

Overall, I believe the Taurus 856 Stainless Steel & Walnut .38 Special Revolver Executive Grade is a well-made and reliable revolver that offers a balance of durability, style, and performance.

The stainless steel construction and premium grip materials make it a more high-end option than the standard version, but it still comes at an affordable price point.

If you’re in the market for a concealed carry revolver, the Taurus 856 Executive Grade is definitely worth considering.

  4. OGK9com on June 17, 2023 at 5:00 am

Just this in my lineup, I am unfamiliar with anything of any quality from Taurus. Quality doesn’t go with Braztech or Taurus.

  5. John on June 17, 2023 at 5:03 am

Saying Taurus makes a high end product. Is like saying Walmart only sells U.S. made stuff

  6. So Many Hobbies on June 17, 2023 at 5:03 am

Taurus is an entirely different company than it was just 4 or 5 yrs ago. I’ve had their raging bull in several different calibers for 20 yrs, and all run perfect. My latest Raging Hunter .454 casull is a beast that shoots as good as it looks. This is a New Taurus that wants your business, and knows they had to raise their QC standards. It worked.

  7. Dan Schneider on June 17, 2023 at 5:07 am

Lets be honest. An equivalent gun as far as set up and quality from smith would run north of $1k. For $600 after tax i couldn’t pass one up and im like you. I’m not a dyed in the wool revolver guy, but man I enjoy this.

You just take too long in the video and it’s just boring

  10. Mark Neal on June 17, 2023 at 5:11 am

I’m an old soul. I love revolvers! They are the most reliable handguns, bar none.

  11. Herbert Johnson on June 17, 2023 at 5:13 am

Taurus revolvers used to be made with the same machinery as S&W. My first revolver was a Taurus model 65 stainless steel in 1989. Wish I would’ve kept it.

  12. Dennis Hein on June 17, 2023 at 5:14 am

Face it. You just donโ€™t like having to reload so often and it taking longer. Try shooting black powder for awhile. They get you to slow down and relax.

  13. Arnold A. Abad on June 17, 2023 at 5:15 am

    Too many talking.

  14. Eduardo Hermoso on June 17, 2023 at 5:17 am

This revolver reminds me of the old S&W 357s during the 80s and 90s. I would like to buy one but the cost of licensing in our country prevents me from acquiring another revolver. I will have to be contented with my Taurus 357 for the meantime. Great video Sir !!

What’s the ear protection you’re using?

  16. Hugo Phuquerself on June 17, 2023 at 5:18 am

revolvers and lever actions tho obsolete in a defense situation against higher capacity weapons of today there is nothing like shooting them. They are like manuals where the modern semi autos are auto trans compared to cars.

  17. Alexandre Silvestre Cabral on June 17, 2023 at 5:20 am

Unfortunately in Brazil Taurus supports the leftist government gun grabbing policy. Sad for us Brazilians.

  18. Randy Chavez on June 17, 2023 at 5:22 am

It’s weird hearing a non-revolver dude talk about revolvers. He’s kind of just trying to fill his time, talking but not saying much.

  19. SP D on June 17, 2023 at 5:23 am

In one word; Therapeutic. My Taurus Model 82 .38 special, is just that. Plus, as you said, a working mans revolver. Take a look see.

  20. Eduardo Jimรฉnez on June 17, 2023 at 5:24 am

This same gun should be made in 327 federal as a 7 shot and also made in 22 WMR as a 10 shot ! It would sell like hot cakes !!! Come on Taurus ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™!!!

  21. Grumpy GenX Granpa on June 17, 2023 at 5:26 am

I have a Rossi M971 .357mag that is actually really niceโ€™ I carry it sometimes and itโ€™s one of 2 that are in my rotation

  22. Russ Trautwein on June 17, 2023 at 5:27 am

Colion, You just look like you’re shooting with pure enjoyment. It was odd to see that from you with a revolver.

Colion Noir would be ALL ABOUT the Manhurin 73. French, beyond Gucci, and 357 Magnum-worth of GIGN approval.

  25. Stephen Jones on June 17, 2023 at 5:30 am

Taurus makes SHIT revolvers! I would never trust my life with one. EVER!

  26. Harvey C. on June 17, 2023 at 5:31 am

Would this be a good gun to put in an ankle holster.

  27. Noxus Reaper on June 17, 2023 at 5:33 am

I personally absolutely love my revolver to death wish I could afford a super high end one every hates my 357 snub and idgaf it’s bad ass my 605 is accurate AF if you know how to use revolvers

  28. Gary Lambert on June 17, 2023 at 5:33 am

I have a blued M85 +p rated I bought new 20yrs ago. Very basic, and ultra reliable. Thousands of standard pressure at the range, no issues, only better because the trigger smoothed out over time. I keep it lubed, dry and clean, and check the timing regularly, still tight. Great tool box or truck gun.

  29. D. Brian Towns on June 17, 2023 at 5:35 am

I just bought the taurus 856 defender with wood grips and I enjoy it.

  34. BlackHeart Gaming on June 17, 2023 at 5:42 am

I thought that the hammer just broke off but it’s in the gun lol

  35. Patrick shea on June 17, 2023 at 5:44 am

Tbh I’ve been carrying the 856 with the 2 inch barrel for personal protection for a few months. I really like it!! Even with the 2 inch barrel I’m able to get decent groupings at reasonable distances. It’s amazing for concealed carry, I can literally conceal it in basketball shorts and t-shirt and not print in the slightest!!! 10/10

  36. elljay81 on June 17, 2023 at 5:47 am

Sa only, hard pass. I like revolvers for the range cause theyโ€™re fun to shoot but that long trigger would bug me.

  37. Joey Thumbs on June 17, 2023 at 5:47 am

I would have opted for a s&w 686+ in 4โ€ just so I can load full house loads.

  38. Ryan King on June 17, 2023 at 5:48 am

Thanks Colion, it’s always fun watching your videos. The Taurus 856 Executive is now on my short list.

  46. Anonymous User on June 17, 2023 at 5:53 am

Revolvers are synonymous with reliability, hence the obsession with them centuries after their invention. But you need to make those shots count, for obvious reasons.

  47. Harvey C. on June 17, 2023 at 5:53 am

Oooooooh! This is also CA compliant too. I want to try it to see if it’ll be the back up gun of my choice.
