Why choose MBR over GPT? The newer GTP is better
wonder if you can 1st time instal a os on the m.2 drive on the adapter will bios be able to see it soo you can format a part for the os and install it
ine gunna
Make sure your computer handles booting from NVME. Older ones with no M.2 would be more miss than hit for booting but some do, like some AM3+ boards (a small number have the interface already)
So you used a dual adapter and only used one nvme 😂😂😂😂😂 why not just buy a single adapter
Little late to the party here, but do you know if these work with riser cables?
You rock!!! All the essential info you need in a few minutes video and a few comments more.
same speed or not ?
I came here for the review but couldn’t stop staring at his desktop picture of his current set up… I find this rather strange lol!
the song from the video ???????
dumbest video ever! YOU NEED TO SETUP RAID IN BIOS ! THIS GUY IS CLOWN!
Can I use this Adaptor in PCIe x1 Slot? as x16 is occupied by "Asus GeForce GT 710 2GB GDDR5" ( Both Slots are PCIe 2.0).
I have H81P motherboard can I install Graphics card and Nvme m2 at same time?
Will it decreases the read and write speed?
Great video, I installed a 500gb nvme with the adapter but it is not showingup in Disk managment, any suggestions? Thanks
Using a pcie express card will one still need to disable 2 satas on mobo?
Great video. Just installed a WD 1 TB Black NVMe SSD using the EZDIY-FAB Dual M.2 RGB Solid State Drive Adapter on my old MSI Z97 GAMING 7 motherboard (I saw afterwards you have a video using the EZDIY card specifically). Nevertheless, your instructions worked like a charm as did the hardware. Subscribed! Cheers!
Is there such thing as a dual slot NVME adapter? I don’t care for SATA support.
Nice!
Thanks.
Thank you so much thumbs up
Can you install 2 nvme drives with this adapter?
Does GPU performance take a hit? I tried to but was getting sluggish GPU performance.
it is said the ten-year-old motherboard cannot boost.
Can u boot windows from this adapter?
I have a m.2 to pcie adapter, for using on my mining mobo. but am not able to find settings to get it running. (in bios) please help. thanks
2:16 – you don’t need to put it into PCIX8 or X16 when all you need is X1 port. It will not run any faster in the larger slot, since it still uses number of pins from X1.
Either way mine for some odd reason is not recognizing in any slot. Windows try to install driver for "PCI device" but fails.
My GPU riser (ms-4389)is plugged into the PCIE slot and is connected to my GTX960, but it also has an m2 slot on it …can I use the M2 slot for the SSD simultaneously?
Hey, I currently have an 970 plus, and I was looking forward to install it by PCIe, since I don’t have an M2 slot.
You used a Samsung information transfer so does that mean it only works with samsung-storage?
Also, I want to migrate my operative system to that nvme. Is that possible even though its connected by the PCIe adapter?
Does this work with x2 pcie slot
so in essence, we can use these as extra storage and it wont mess with my sata ports? if its nvme?
Do M2 NVME drives with Pre-Installed heatsinks still fit on this adapter?
If I will use gen 4 nvme SSD in this adapter, Will I get the advertised speed of 6600 Mbps?
I wanted to have two m.2 ssd drives on a dual adapter, but I can’t because my moterboard doesn’t support PCI bifurcation.
what about cooling for your SSD? its grazy hot without heatsink/active cooling and as a result it slow down the speed 4-5 times! How does your SSD behaves now?
Can I install O/S onto that? ie: Is it bootable and does that need to be addressed in the BIOS? Was going to buy one for an older core i7 board I have laying about but I need to O/S on the NVME m,2
Cheers!
3:00 – disk initialization. Are You saying that one cannot boot system from GPT disk?
And how about BIOS support on older mobos for booting from PCIE?
Of course it will work because your system is up to date. People with older systems are the ones that might experience issues.
What about bifurcation? Does this adapter self-bifurcated or it needs to be bifurcated by a motherboard?
And here I thought latency matters more than write speed, silly me.
Hi can this adapter be slotted into a simple pcix1 slot rather than a pci-e slot?
Thanks for info!!
What if you use 2 NVME? do you still need the sata cable?
Didnt get any screws, which one are u supossed to use
So I tried installing a NVMe PCIe adapter into my PC with an SSD installed and everytime I boot up my PC it didn’t launch windows. Does anyone know a fix for this?
Can I use it on nan comparable motherboard. I mean nvme slot is their but is not supported for the my current nvme
How to have nvme m.2 SSD in the 54mm express card slot of my old Dell Inspiron 1525 ? There are usb 3.0 connectors available for the same.
Does using a PCIE 4.0 adapter on PCIE 1.0 slot affect the speed of M.2 SSD?
I did exactly as the video stated, right down to the Samsung 970 EVO and it worked flawlessly, but now I want to add a video card and I put the SSD with a M2 adapter card into my only PCIe x16 slot so now I only have a PCIe x1 slot. Can I put a riser/splitter of some kind into the PCIe x1 slot and install the SSD with a M2 adapter card?
Thank you man!
I installed a crucial ssd in pci express adapter in a slot having 1/4th size of normal add on cards. While 1st time I started disk manager it asked me partition type, i selected gpt, letter the ssd is not shown in disk manager, what would have gon wrong
thanks you you saved my ass😅
