Will S&W offer M&P 2.0 optics ready slide only for those who have one already that is not optics ready and want to upgrade the slide?

  7. Ronald Cordova on September 13, 2022 at 8:26 pm

What red dot and mounting plate do you recommend for a California compliance M&P Shield 9mm? .. thank you

  8. Nolan Conn on September 13, 2022 at 8:27 pm

Am i the only person with a 2.0 that did come with plates and a tool

  9. DaDaDaDa Da on September 13, 2022 at 8:29 pm

PSA ⚠️ After removing factory installed cover, clean the threads of the holes on the slide completely before installing any plate/red dot. The crap they use to install the factory cover plate is crusty and will strip your mounting screws. Clean those holes! Trust me.

I love the M&P 9. I have 3 of them. But they are literally crap till you put in an Apex trigger. As long as S&W has been making guns and M&P’s, you would think that they could produce a decent trigger. The 2.0 is supposed to be better that the 1.0, but I don’t detect that’s it’s much better at all. Still super gritty. What a disappointment! It’s pretty sad when you buy a new gun, you have to immediately spend another $180 for a trigger to make it shoot properly! The only reason I even bought the 2.0 is I wanted a new gun to put in MCK and I want my magazines to all be interchangeable. As I said, I love the guns with the Apex, but I really hate the S&W company! And if you ever need to order a part under Warrenty, the jerk that that you have to deal with on the phone is apparently trying to destroy the company. He is a real jerk/moron! You have to fight with him to get him to do anything right. I spoke with a S&W certified gunsmith that told me, if a customer brings him a gun that needs Warrenty work, he refuses it unless the customer will do the phone calling. He said it’s more of hassle that it’s worth. S&W needs to get their act together!!

Just ordered my Holoson! Going to be running this exact setup as my edc and I’m super excited.

So have I have the M&P 2.0 4.5 inch barrel in 10mm. Why on God’s earth would M&P ship plastic plates for such a powerful round??????? The plastic plates will shear right off food for thought.

  13. Anton Stepura on September 13, 2022 at 8:32 pm

Maybe mention that this doesn’t apply to most of your handguns, since they don’t have cover plates lol

"yOuRe GoInG tO NoTiCe ThAt ThErE iS a CoVeR pLaTe"

please show me where the cover plate is on my basic ass pistol lol

  17. HatOnAHat on September 13, 2022 at 8:33 pm

    Not helpful at all.

  18. Robert Plank on September 13, 2022 at 8:34 pm

Apparently there are problems either with the guns mounting set up or the red dots mounting set up because I saw 2 reviews where the red dot flew off.

  19. Chris Genge on September 13, 2022 at 8:34 pm

Do think the HS507K would be a good fit? Thanks!

  20. RONALD Sjr on September 13, 2022 at 8:34 pm

worthless video. what are the proper tools to take off the cover plate without stripping it how about that ??

  21. Richard Oliver on September 13, 2022 at 8:34 pm

Some of the pistols will allow you to install a red dot by using a dove tail mounting plate. If your pistol allows for that, you will removing the rear sight.

  22. Upnorth Vlogs on September 13, 2022 at 8:35 pm

The real question is when And how do we get one I am in m&p 10 mm

  23. Debbie Henry on September 13, 2022 at 8:39 pm

Can you install a red dot 🔴 on the M&P EZ

  27. WarayKali Twan on September 13, 2022 at 8:49 pm

For the love of god please send Paul Harrel a 5” core 9mm.
Ported, flared magwell and delta point micro can be a race gun for the street. 115gr recommended

If it objectively puts lead on target faster with no downsides it really is win win

  28. Larry Lung on September 13, 2022 at 8:49 pm

What plate did you use from the pistol kit

  31. Bandit99 on September 13, 2022 at 8:53 pm

I don’t have the 2.0 but the first one that came out can I still get a slide to mount an red dot

  32. Terri Alexander on September 13, 2022 at 8:56 pm

Does the plates come with the gun or the optic? I purchased both and I don’t have the hardware or plates. Who do I contact?

  33. Paul Rampon on September 13, 2022 at 8:57 pm

I have a Shield-Plus that came with a CT red dot. Will the plates provided in the 3012907 plate kit surface to use a Holosun 507?

  34. thumper styles yes I'm a girl on September 13, 2022 at 8:57 pm

I just got mine last month I love my gun like I love my Harley Davidson 💙 ❤ ♥ 💕 💗

  35. ryan richardson on September 13, 2022 at 8:58 pm

I bought a metal plate from C-H that came with screws. The 407C Is now mounted solid as hell on my 4.6 10mm. I used one of the plastic shit plates that S&W provided and the Optic came flying off and hit me right in the forehead. The plastic plate literally snapped in half right down the screw hole line. I can’t believe the engineers at S&W really thought that a plastic plate would be able to handle the cyclical torque a 10mm slide produces. And I was the one dumb enough to use it. Live and learn.

  36. Rich Michael on September 13, 2022 at 8:58 pm

Just called Smith & Wesson regarding my 2.0 10 mm in their instructions there is no plate for holosun 507c So I called them and they said correct holosun not compatible However in this video you see Ken Scott mounting a 507C on a 10 mm with a type one plate unknown which screws he used to anybody advise or is this just a glitch from Smith & Wesson I mounted mine on with the type one plate using Smith and Wesson screws i have yet to shoot it Any input would be greatly appreciated thank you

Where’s the safety plunger? I saw what looked like a safety plunger but I didn’t fly out

  39. JESSIE BLANDING JR on September 13, 2022 at 9:03 pm

I literally just bought the 2.0 10mm version few minutes ago and first time having it. My question is the plate kit that comes with it i was told no matter which red dot I get the red dot would come off because the plates are plastic. I just want to know is that true before I go looking for red dots

  40. Nightwing15 on September 13, 2022 at 9:05 pm

I’d love to mount one on my 2.0 compact, BUY YALL WONT SELL ME A SLIDE!!

  41. ryan richardson on September 13, 2022 at 9:07 pm

Which screws that came with the 2.0 10mm do you use for the Holosun?

  42. John Doe 808 on September 13, 2022 at 9:08 pm

Wait a minute….my pistol didn’t come with that mounting plate

  43. Joe S on September 13, 2022 at 9:08 pm

Smith and Wesson needs to do something about the cheap plastic adapter plates on the 10mm. The posts on them are not strong enough to hold back-and-forth movement of the red dot, thus putting all the pressure onto the mounting screws and shearing them off. I will not buy this pistol until this issue is fixed. Not only does it cause unreliability, but it can be a danger to the shooter when the dot flies off.

  44. gixxer gixxer on September 13, 2022 at 9:09 pm

Think I’ll just use the rail under the barrel.

  45. Willwrk 4gunz on September 13, 2022 at 9:10 pm

Can I cut the slide for an optic on a full size 5" 2.0. It has the loaded chamber indicator on top.

  46. Dave Aver on September 13, 2022 at 9:12 pm

Glad you’re going to stick it to NY along with the other manufacturers!
    Thank you…who to donate to?

  47. Jesse K on September 13, 2022 at 9:15 pm

Do any of vortex red dot pistol sights work on the newer Smith and Wesson m2.0 optic ready factory plates by chance?

  48. Zyzzus Christ on September 13, 2022 at 9:20 pm

Thanks for this video. But how do I mount a green dot? I don’t like red dots for my eyesight.

  49. resolute123 on September 13, 2022 at 9:20 pm

Real question is when will you fix the reset on your 9mm with the new flat face trigger? It’s like your old M&P 1.0.

  50. kevin Johnson on September 13, 2022 at 9:21 pm

Be good to tell how to determine which plate to use with site. Instructions in box don’t even mention the Holosun that you just put on.
