Good! That’s the point. I didn’t spend $1600 on my AR for someone to say,” ouchie, that stung!” Dummies

  2. jackisjack on November 4, 2021 at 11:16 pm

"A bullet from a semi automatic rifle also creates a temporary cavity" yeah, so does any of bullet from any other rifle! Terminal ballistics have no correlation to the action of a gun, stop fear mongering that semi automatic bullets are more powerful cause they aren’t!

  3. castlerock58 on November 4, 2021 at 11:18 pm

Bullshit! The whole innovation behind the assault rifle was an intermediate cartridge that is more powerful than a pistol cartridge and less powerful than a rifle cartridge. It trades off the long range of the rifle so it is capable of automatic fire that is useful. A bullet from a typical high power hunting rifle will do more of the damage that they are describing than a bullet from an assault rifle because it has more kinetic energy. "Assault style" rifle is a semantic fraud designed to sound like assault rifle. It is about cosmetics rather than the kinetic energy of the bullets.

My friend was shot in both the knee and elbow with an ak-47 and he walks and has use of his arm. There still there and it won’t blow your limbs off you waterhead.

    Any testing behind this???

  6. MannaMusicOfficial on November 4, 2021 at 11:24 pm

Rifle bullets are substantially faster than handgun bullets? Clearly this fool has never tried Liberty Civil Defense 9mm

  7. gameragodzilla on November 4, 2021 at 11:25 pm

I own handguns that have both similar and even greater power.

  8. Eroc on November 4, 2021 at 11:26 pm

    More libtard bullshit

  9. Vlad Mordekeiser on November 4, 2021 at 11:30 pm

Mainstream media nowadays give a new meaning to the words "misinformation" and "half-truths"…
    It’s a destroyer of intelligences.

  10. LEGO gun Creations on November 4, 2021 at 11:30 pm

Semi auto is semi auto, no matter if it’s from a handgun or a rifle, or carbine, or sub machine gun, all are semi auto, and shoot as fast as you can pull that trigger.

  11. John Tandy Crabtree on November 4, 2021 at 11:33 pm

Did he say the bullet hits you sideways?????

  12. DOOM SLAYER on November 4, 2021 at 11:34 pm

It doesn’t matter it’s a hunting rifle or a semi auto. Jeez the propaganda is intense. IT IS THE CARTRIDGE AND BARREL LENGTH.. NOT THE GUN

  13. Adam Siewert on November 4, 2021 at 11:35 pm

This is an amazing rifle to own for self defense!

  14. 1001Hobbies on November 4, 2021 at 11:37 pm

THE EXACT SAME THINGS HAPPEN TO THE 2 OR 3 GUYS RAIDING YOUR HOME. Funny how they only say this happens to YOU when you are shot with a rifle.

This is why I buy Yaw On Impact bullets..

I like the end of the video democracy dies in darkness. We aren’t supposed to be a democracy. We are supposed to be a constitutional republic.

  17. Quaagin on November 4, 2021 at 11:40 pm

Obvious propaganda to scare people into voting everyone else’s rights away. You can tell by the subtly evocative music and the solemn tone of the narrator’s voice how the creators of this video want us to feel about the subject matter. Not to mention the gratuitous (and rather erroneous) use of the word "assault" as applied to the firearms that they are speaking of. While the basic ballistic information that is provided is generally accurate, the framing of this video is biased.

  18. Paolo on November 4, 2021 at 11:40 pm

    Wow talk about misinformation

  19. Johnny Call on November 4, 2021 at 11:40 pm

Bullets don’t tumble when striking a live target. That’s not how modern rifling works. Tell Jeff Bezos that we see what he’s trying to do and we know it’s bullshit.

  20. almin livak on November 4, 2021 at 11:40 pm

I know what I should generally expect from a Washington post video but trying to convince me that semi automatic is faster than semi automatic in the first 20 seconds??

  21. Annette on November 4, 2021 at 11:41 pm

The narrator is earnest, and the music is sad. It must be true.

  22. Edward Jimenez on November 4, 2021 at 11:41 pm

Got to love the propaganda hiding behind some scientific facts and many arguments that are not fact. Like how you say that it is semi-automatic rifles when there are plenty of bolt-action rifles that shoot way more devastating rounds. And yes that’s what guns and bullets were designed to do from the very beginning when they were made. In other news knives cut because they are sharp and that’s what they were designed to do. And this guy talks about an AK-47 but he never even mentions which caliber. Which we all know it is an anemic caliber compared to the stuff that was used during World War II. As it turns out these calibers used in AR-15 AK-47 and AK-74 are tiny in comparison because they were mainly made to wound send it is better to wounded soldier since it takes more people to rescue him and take him out of the battle. Which is why only Full Metal Jacket bullets are used in war. You people know nothing about guns and you get someone that knows very little to make a propaganda video trying to explain something you know nothing about.

  23. JoozdontliketheTruth on November 4, 2021 at 11:41 pm

Assault is an action, you Nimrods.

  24. Miles Bowen on November 4, 2021 at 11:43 pm

Hunting rifles are more devastating than modern sporting rifles.

  25. Maxwell Fairfield on November 4, 2021 at 11:44 pm

The ignorance this guy has to terminal ballistics as a doctor is just astounding.

  26. Tom Zweifel on November 4, 2021 at 11:46 pm

Absolute hype. Zero difference between semiautomatic, bolt action, lever action, etc. Yellow journalism and fear mongering at it’s worst.

  27. Fish Killl on November 4, 2021 at 11:46 pm

So a gun is like a boat? :/

  28. PDZ1122 on November 4, 2021 at 11:47 pm

"The speed of an assault weapon…" Just how fast can you throw an AK?

  29. Marcus Weathers on November 4, 2021 at 11:49 pm

This the dumbest stuff I have ever heard.

  30. Montana on November 4, 2021 at 11:51 pm

  33. Clint McCaleb on November 4, 2021 at 11:55 pm

The bullet from the semi-automatic is less destructive that the single shot bolt action. Also, I wasn’t’ aware that Assault rifles was the appropriate phrase used to describe ballistics.

  34. Corey Madden on November 4, 2021 at 11:55 pm

    Murica

  35. Darryl Williams on November 4, 2021 at 11:55 pm

Bro most hand guns are semi auto stop using that word likes it’s just ars and aks I can’t stand shills

  36. CAROLINA PATRIOT on November 4, 2021 at 11:56 pm

Nice hit piece on semiautomatic rifles. Shame for you and your pseudo doctor that much of your information is erroneous or only partially correct. A partially correct "fact" is almost completely wrong.

  37. FlyfishermanNick on November 4, 2021 at 11:56 pm

So much ignorance in one video.

  38. Carpe Natem on November 4, 2021 at 11:56 pm

Thanks Wapo you dumb fucks, i always get a good laugh from your bullshit

  39. Eric Wellman on November 4, 2021 at 11:57 pm

Dr. Martin Fackler is rolling in his grave. This is internationally misleading political propaganda.

  40. Beardedcap on November 4, 2021 at 11:57 pm

I wasn’t aware that the actual firearm was faster than a handgun, that’s crazy. But really jackasses, an intermediate cartridge isn’t very powerful.

  41. Industrial adhesive on November 4, 2021 at 11:58 pm

Lol that happens when you shoot any rifle with a cal over .223 lmao. It doesn’t matter how the rifle looks lol. It doesn’t matter if its semi auto or not. Actually some of the most dangerous "assualt style weapons" arent even semi automatic.

  42. Desert Fox on November 4, 2021 at 11:58 pm

this video is vastly inaccurate…. hey put this white coat on when you record this

  44. Miguel Martinez on November 4, 2021 at 11:59 pm

Let someone take a 9mm to your elbow and let’s see what’s left

  45. D Con on November 5, 2021 at 12:06 am

I found the title misleading. 556 is at the bottom of the chart of rifle cartridge power. 556 was chosen bc it wounds and with its reduced power does not overheat barrels when firing a high volume of shots. I think comparing 556 with a 30-378 or 300 ultra mag shows much higher levels of energy and damage. Also important is to explain how rifles are typically much more powerful then pistols, this is normal not sinister. I still feel all bullets are potentially lethal(matter of penetration of vital tissue and not energy)and you should avoid being hit by any.

  46. red88alert on November 5, 2021 at 12:07 am

Nice! I’m even more proud of owning my guns now. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

  47. Mike Welsh on November 5, 2021 at 12:08 am

I’m 25 seconds into the video and technically already a lot of inaccurate information/terminology related to the firearms and ammunition being discussed.
That being said some of the concepts that relate to the terminal ballistics of the bullet are indeed accurate

  48. The Buff on November 5, 2021 at 12:09 am

    An "assault rifle?"

  49. Mike Leee on November 5, 2021 at 12:10 am

Scientifically you doctor was right . I agree . I understand the ballistic wound perfectly ! It’s the law of kinematic physics . I shot 5.56 7.62×39 and .308 through pork shoulders many times. Sounds good !! The number one choice for self defense is either the M16 or AK47 platform 👍👍👍👍

  50. Alpharoth on November 5, 2021 at 12:13 am

30 round calibur magazine clip….fully semi auto
