H&K SFP9L-OR

H&K SFP9L-OR

We’ve got a great video for you this week on the Vickers Tactical Channel. I break down one of, if not the, most accurate pistols I’ve ever shot, the Heckler & Koch SFP9L-OR, or Optics Ready Long-Slide version. Known also as the VP9 here in the states, this is not only a fantastic firearm to check out but this one in particular is going to be my new training pistol for 2021. wow, what a nice pistol, thanks

  2. Michael Westen on November 3, 2021 at 5:50 pm

I believe they are referred to as “SFP” because civilians in Europe are not allowed to own firearms that have been adopted by the Military/Police (VP9 being the model that has been adopted)

  3. foo bar on November 3, 2021 at 5:52 pm

Larry, this handgun was originally called the *Volkspistole* ("people’s pistol", VP) 9 but was later rebranded as the *Striker Fired Pistol* (SFP) 9 in Europe. So amusingly, it’s still designated by a German acronym in the US, while using an English acronym in Germany…

Edit: I sincerely hope you’ll get better soon!

    @Vickers Tactical
Hi Larry, just wanted to say how healthy you are looking these days, I’m a long time subscriber but been away from the Channel for a while.
Keep dosing what you’re doing man. It’s working.

  6. 800lb Gorilla on November 3, 2021 at 5:55 pm

Who is shooting competition when 9mm is $0.70/round (if you can find it).

Oh you reload? that’s cool… where do you get your powder and primers?

  7. Jeff Davis on November 3, 2021 at 5:55 pm

  12. Jacob Hawkins on November 3, 2021 at 5:58 pm

One of the only guns where I’ve seen him crack a smile.

  13. Christopher B on November 3, 2021 at 5:58 pm

Larry Vickers what are you going to do when radical liberal YouTube takes down your channel, and then Joe Biden and the democrats ban guns?

  14. D C on November 3, 2021 at 5:59 pm

Just heard about your AFT troubles. Hope all turns out okay. Thoughts and prayers Delta.

  15. Charles on November 3, 2021 at 5:59 pm

    Good evening Sir,
VP = Volkspistole may sound too much like Nazi, which is why we prefer to use the English term "Striker Fired Pistol" SFP in Europe…. Greets from Austria 🙂

  16. sirchewtrain on November 3, 2021 at 6:00 pm

    Slide speaks Walther

  17. Dimitri Dimakis on November 3, 2021 at 6:00 pm

Is it worth getting the Optics Ready version if you may or may not ever use an optic? Are there any key differences beside the optic mount of the slide it seems like the iron sight is different then the standard SFP9L.

  18. Hanns74 on November 3, 2021 at 6:01 pm

Beautiful blaster! The HKparts enhanced slide cap with no witness hole and the enhanced magazine release are both worthwhile upgrades.

  19. Harsh Purohit on November 3, 2021 at 6:02 pm

    take long shots while hot

  20. Micah Van Wagoner on November 3, 2021 at 6:04 pm

Love H&K hand guns! The VP9 and VP9 SK are amazing!

  21. Stovepipe on November 3, 2021 at 6:05 pm

I’ve competed with a 2020 SFPL OR PB with a HS 507C V2 Green and it is very fast , very accurate and reliable
It has less flip than the standard VP9 and based on my 25 yd groups – I’d say that O- ring is a factor – zero malfunctions with over 3000 rnds thru it – can’t say it’s really more accurate than my tuned up 9 mm 1911 but it’s close – It definitely does have the best modular grip system of any polymer striker fired gun by far and that can be a huge factor in recoil management

  22. Tim Sterling on November 3, 2021 at 6:08 pm

    simply beautiful

  23. Jay DeVeas on November 3, 2021 at 6:14 pm

    Why accuracy not demonstrated???

  24. Rick Hunter on November 3, 2021 at 6:14 pm

I was able to pick up the vp9 L kit a couple months ago however for the life of me, I cannot find an RMR mounting plate anywhere 😡

  25. Nguyễn Minh Châu on November 3, 2021 at 6:15 pm

The music made me thought about Modern Warfare 3.

  26. A.B.T Channel on November 3, 2021 at 6:16 pm

  27. Chris on November 3, 2021 at 6:16 pm

Nicely done Larry good reviews as always, quick question if you can get to it, how much are the classes for rifles and handguns for all platforms and where are you guys located

  28. wilko10000 on November 3, 2021 at 6:17 pm

Larry looks amazing these days! Good work dude!!!!

  29. Joshua Dorries on November 3, 2021 at 6:22 pm

Great video Sir. I have all 3 of the VP9’s and I agree there awesome and extremely accurate

  30. Mason on November 3, 2021 at 6:23 pm

I like those close up slow mos. The soundtrack is cheesy AF though

  31. 800lb Gorilla on November 3, 2021 at 6:24 pm

H&K didn’t use the VP9 designation in EU because Brügger & Thomet (B&T) produces a VP9 suppressed pistol, designed for farm and veterinary use. It’s effectively the old WWII Welrod pistol with an additional safety, and instructions on how to effectively dispatch cattle or other animals with it’s 9×19 chambering.

  32. Walter Ritchey on November 3, 2021 at 6:24 pm

I’m surprised you’ve never done a video on the USP.

  33. THE CJ LIFE on November 3, 2021 at 6:25 pm

Hey Larry watch out ATF IS OUTSIDE UR DOOR 😂😂😂

  34. Daniel Atkins on November 3, 2021 at 6:27 pm

    That thing is sweet.
Have you handled any of the Canik pistols? Also what are your thoughts on the holosun closed emitter red dot for us folks who are a little strapped for cash

  35. Injured Outdoorsman on November 3, 2021 at 6:28 pm

Definitely not the same pistol as the FN 509LS Edge…

  36. Jim on November 3, 2021 at 6:30 pm

So sick, I’m gonna have to track LAV down and take him up on his word.

  37. ZATennisFan on November 3, 2021 at 6:31 pm

Is that what John Wick uses?

  38. Ryan Poeppel on November 3, 2021 at 6:33 pm

My buddy just got one of these.

  39. Fred is the Harvey on November 3, 2021 at 6:33 pm

I agree gun shoots extremely well. That O ring is the difference. With Liberty optic mounted ,shot 10 round group of about 4 inch group at 50 yards on B27. Ammo use was 147 grain Federal flat nose. The group would have been sub 4 if did not have a flyer. The gun is stock , may try the lovo trigger.

  40. Andy Boyd on November 3, 2021 at 6:33 pm

    I’d love to see a P7 episode.

  41. A5000A on November 3, 2021 at 6:33 pm

    huge optic

  42. Ed Ijares on November 3, 2021 at 6:34 pm

LAV: “It is so accurate, it is scary.”
Me: “But it’s not a Glock.”

  43. Shaun Schneeberger on November 3, 2021 at 6:34 pm

LV is great but saying its the most accurate pistol he has ever shot tells me he has not shot enough good pistols lol im going to get slaughtered for this statement

  44. firm1z on November 3, 2021 at 6:35 pm

My HKVP9SK is currently with Rick getting full trigger job. I can’t wait to get it back.

  45. Jaded Clone on November 3, 2021 at 6:36 pm

Why do I love these videos so much?

  46. Thomas Huebner on November 3, 2021 at 6:37 pm

It would be critical to call it VP9 in Germany ( VolksPistole9).

  47. Texas Toast on November 3, 2021 at 6:40 pm

    Walther ppq wannabe

  48. MMR Tactical on November 3, 2021 at 6:42 pm

I’d have to say that you’re accurate, not the gun. Good fundamentals. Nice gun BTW.

  49. bob fleischer on November 3, 2021 at 6:43 pm

If you have a gun smith mill a slide for an optic, it voids the warranty.

  50. Maxim Kuznetsov on November 3, 2021 at 6:45 pm

Hello! Thanks for an amazing video! I tried many guns, even my HK VP9L , but I still couldn’t find more accurate gun than my Glock 17L. I do my best with Glock 17L only. Just my opinion.
