Joe man, I love your videos bud. Here in the UK. Its so nice to see Americans loving airguns we think its an art form shooting a low speed rifle, but then we would hahaha… Keep on going buddy… I set up Netflix for a night once and spent the whole evening watching your stuff instead hahaha
☕️👋⚖️
Great stuff, as always. Will be giving that a go on a few of my stocks in the near future
That majestic postlude music made me want to get my pink feather boa and jump around while yelling”cyclops”. Yea this video is an oldie is right!
Thank you so much
Really liked this video, I have refinished several rifles using different techniques. I have watched 2 of your videos. Very informative.
Nice job! Thanks!
Hey joe i have something to ask if you put stock wax on your stock how would you get the wax off the stock to put the poly on ??
Good Stuff Joe! Knife
Will this work on already stained wood?
I really love these videos where you are re finishing stocks… something about watching another man rubbing his wood.
Nice!🤙
Your video shows minwax wood finish penetrating oil
and wipe on poly. When do you use the wood finish?
Gave me a woody!
Just wow. Don’t have words, it’s like it’s bought the woods soul out to the surface. Seriously amazing. I also love how the music peaks and the holy shit kicks in 😂😂…every video of yours is a joy to watch… everytime.
Shit I need two eye patches you just Blinded Me from all that shine
Nice job Joe I do my,n with double boiled linseed oil I luuv to to feel the curves man 😊
I’ll be picking up some poly!!!
It’s this kind of gloss that inspires me to re-finish the 1885 high wall. Keep up the amazing antics!
Very nice. Thanks for sharing
Will it make it waterproof

How many coats would you recommend? Looks really nice.
Nice video. I have a Service Grade M1 Garand from the CMP. It came with a new stock. It doesn’t need to be refinished, just finished, as it has a nice dark walnut stock on it. I am looking for ways to give the stock a shine. Currently I’ve applied 2 coats of tung oil to it. I trying to decide what to put on top of it after it dries completely. The wood grain is nice, and I want it to shine.
I know this isn’t the right video to ask about scopes… but.. I’m looking at something to mount on a Savage .270. I saw your videos on the Swfa SS. I’m not on a budget or anything but don’t want to spend a ton. Just deer hunting and messing around with longer distance target practice. Want to keep it under $600. Any advice? I just subscribed thanks.
How do you stain your grips so cleanly and dark, a proccess vid or detailed comment would be great. Thanks!
You knocked that one, out of the ballpark. Looks great!
Hoooly SSSShit, I about fell out of my chair laughing when I heard that.
hey man, what kind of wood is this?
I still like my Tru-Oil, but I love a shiny finish. It really makes the grain figuring POP! I’m learning just how little of this stuff goes such a long way. Just enough to flow out smooth. But not run. I even tinted some Tru-Oil to antique some Colt SAA grips in my latest video.
Great video Joe!!!!
You have potential to be the king of the jungle … ❤️
Holly Sh…… just one more thing, when sanding at wood level, go with the grain.
Looks excellent! I’ve been using Tru-Oil on all of my cheap Birch stocks since I started refinishing all of them this month (July ’21). But only after Citrastrip’ing, Conditioning, double staining Dark Walnut, then double de-whiskering. It’s made all of my rifles and shotgun twice as nice. I’m about to do the same to my RWS Diana 34.
Wonderful video, sir! Do you have a video or any tips for refinishing a stock that is totally unfinished?
Most definitely thought the 3rd item needed was a crescent wrench.
The bobross of wood stain
Is there anyway you can do a night vision budget buy for scopes or DIY. Ty
“Holly shit”
I would recommend 800 grit sandpaper before the base coat and between the topcoats. It will make the wood grain pop more and also get rid of fine blemishes and hazing between coats. Poly can hide a lot, but prep work is always the toughest job.
Joe I like the wipe on poly saw your old video looks great on my m14 stock
This video made my day. I don’t even have no wood on my firearms. Well…not in that way >;D
Be well.
I’m not in the market for SCOPES at this time, but I saw this episode was outside your usual subject matter norm and I said to myself, well, you might not be interested in refinishing stocks, but hear Joe out as you might get some funny ass comments – and guess what?
Hahahahahaha, you didn’t disappoint!!I
Good job!
“Shows fingerprints” I learned that years ago however my Springfield M1A looked spectacular😂
Damn what a before and after difference. Shines like a diamond in a Asian stripper’s ass now Joe. Great job.
Nice finish 👏
Great video Joe, that is super easy job, to make your stock shine.
Now that is sexy.
Nice work Joe ! Man of many talents. Ever thought of expanding your video portfolio to include additional hobbies, perhaps, such as BBQ’ing, reloading, gunsmithing, fishing, etc. Maybe you already have ones like those. Ill have to check. Cheers !! 🍻🍻
Great video! Did you apply any poly to the checkering?
