A very specialized gunsmithing job is reboring a rifle barrel to a larger caliber. Watch along as Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA, demonstrates the process of reboring and rechambering a Winchester 1885 Low Wall (made in 1891) from the long obsolete caliber of 32 rimfire to 357 Magnum.
I have all those machines around here somewhere let me dig them out
stupid guy forgot to put a dot in front of the caliber!
Just scrap the gun or give it to a museum, is my opinium. Why shoot it.
Why not just buy a new gun

how to get your dog shot by the atf 101
so who did he send it to for the rebore?
Would have preferred a little bit of info about the proofing process to ensure the barrel will take the increased pressure but otherwise very informative, never seen a rifling tool before and still no clue how it works but honesty not what I was expecting it to look like
What’s this, the prequel to Breaking Benjamin?
For those who are interested Delta Gun Shop no longer does reboring. Jim passed away a few years ago.

" Give it to someone who knows what they’re doing" is great advice ..
That’s a really cool process, but I can’t help but think it would probably be more economical to just get a new barrel.
You kind of jumped over the boring parts.
"It’s a good, solid rifle, and I’d like to shoot it" I love that quote
I always wondered how they made plumbuses
Going to all the trouble of reboring the gun for a new caliber, at that point may as go the full enchilada and reblued it. My take is all the value as a antique is gone when he rechambered for .357, may as well make her the bell of ball.
you said that you reamed the chamber in 100 thou steps, this is 2.5mm, have you got yoit math right
Wow!
Larry has some neat tools in his garage!!
they only show some little bits of the process of re calibrating the gun from 22 cal to 357 of the barrel up to the firing pin bcuz of youtube law standard but still informative and also quite frustrating at the same time

Hi
Aren’t you concerned the chamber pressure of the 32 rim fire is considerably less than the chamber pressure of the 357 magnum?
