  9. Douglas Lopes on November 2, 2021 at 7:41 pm

My friend and I went to bell buckle ten. Walk up to range, a guy walked up and the first thing he said was "if you don’t have ear plugs in turn around and get the hell out. Never went back. Their loss.

Ya everytime they start a new sport shooting or racing. Someone will do something then the rest have to follow to be competitive. Just once I wish they make a shooting sport, where its out of the box. Same level playing field but its cheaper for everyone. Someone one short strokes there rifle then everyone has to do it to stay in the game. Frustrating.. then your all back on same level except you all just spent a bunch.

  11. Adam Adams on November 2, 2021 at 7:44 pm

  21. Luther Mosley on November 2, 2021 at 7:58 pm

All I need to know is can I win belt buckles?

  22. Daniel Franks on November 2, 2021 at 8:00 pm

@1:35 I believe the rules also permit the lever action 1887 Winchester style lever shotgun, AKA the Terminators gun (although some argue that specific gun was a 10ga).

  23. Early Cuyler on November 2, 2021 at 8:00 pm

    Costuming needs to GO!
If you want to play dress up keep it in the bedroom, where it belongs. This is a sport, not a costume party. " authenticity" is a very weak argument considering. What is " required" equipment. .45lc, and to a lesser degree .38 spl ( for rifles…rarely) were absolutely not a common caliber in use around turn of century. There was a lot of rimfire, .44 calliber in use back then. If anything sass is is more interested in recreating " hollywood western" misconceptions than any historical accuracy. And why in the world are derringer type pistols givin a class to themselves? Or muzzleloader for that matter?. Its just ridiculous.

  24. wsal7816 on November 2, 2021 at 8:01 pm

Thanks awesome video !! I wanna get into SAS club, it’s a shame I live where all your Kirkpatrick rigs are made,. "Laredo, Texas" and we don’t have a SAS game club !!

  25. Joshua Johnson on November 2, 2021 at 8:02 pm

A lot of these "needs" look like "wants" to me.

  26. Shelton Hawthorne on November 2, 2021 at 8:07 pm

Hey, everyone, take a look on Facebook for Hawthorne’s Hat Tricks for your cheaper SASS hat needs. I’m just doing what I like and trying to make a little bit of dinero. Thanks !!

  27. Cory Carner on November 2, 2021 at 8:08 pm

What caliber are those wheel guns? What is a good beginner single action army ?

  28. dahlski on November 2, 2021 at 8:10 pm

Really good info! I am thinking of starting out on this type of shooting. Love revolvers and lever action rifles. Love RDR2 aswell. And I also love old western movies so I figure this will be a good move.

  29. Dexter Warrington on November 2, 2021 at 8:10 pm

At the beginning of this video you talked about "Levis" as a necessary part of the costume. You should be aware that Levi Strauss is one of the bigger "anti-gun" contributors and are very vocal about gun control. You can Google "Levi Strauss’ anti gun advocacy". I discovered this over 10 years ago and haven’t spent a dime on any of their products since. Lee and Wrangler make great jeans~!

  30. Jeff Leblanc on November 2, 2021 at 8:13 pm

What’s the mater with cowboy boots I only own cowboy boots and not lace up no one is going to tell me how to dress and if I want to shoot cowboy I’d do it myself if you got to wear a pair of lace up I own 20 pairs of cowboy boots don’t think I’m gonna buy a pair of lace ups for to make someone happy lol what a joke

  31. ScarField on November 2, 2021 at 8:13 pm

I know I’m very late for this but I can’t seem to find a more recent video to get an answer to my question; would a Henry X model, stoeger double defense, and a chiappa rhino qualify?

  32. Quick hand Luke .38 on November 2, 2021 at 8:14 pm

Just a general question for anyone who knows the answer. About the costume thing can I wear regular old leather cowboy boots?

  33. David Vicknair on November 2, 2021 at 8:14 pm

    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ not counting ammo.

  34. August Varney on November 2, 2021 at 8:15 pm

I have a couple of old High Standard Double Nine Revolvers that I absolutely love, but they have the ability to fire double action (though, admittedly, the trigger pull to do so is punishing at best). Would I still be able to use such weapons if they were used soley in single action, or is it a hard cutoff if it has double action capabilities?

  35. Jim F on November 2, 2021 at 8:15 pm

Do you need to have the whole rig? Like could I go to one with just a single pistol and a coach gun, for example?

  36. Mike Franklin on November 2, 2021 at 8:15 pm

I quit when you had to have tricked out guns, totally unrealist leatherand mouse fart loads to win or even place. Most shooters carry guns and gear more like Flash Gordon than Wyatt Earp.

  39. Greg Glez on November 2, 2021 at 8:19 pm

Shocked how nice they are… More like annoyed at how much they pretend to know. Arrogance runs high in these groups.

  44. Super Sanity on November 2, 2021 at 8:25 pm

I want to begin SASS shooting. This is an excellent video for getting started. Thank you

  45. Greg Lyle on November 2, 2021 at 8:26 pm

I did this for 2 seasons. It’s all he says it is. My biggest surprise was how good many of them are, boys and girls, young and old. My problem was boredom between stages even with the work assignments. There is a lot of time and money required to practice, reload ammo, and keep up with the guns for about two and a half minutes of shooting. It is fun for sure, and the shooting is great, just not enough of it. Kind of like parking lot Solo car racing. Also in these videos they don’t cover the military type safety rules they use. These rules are 100% necessary to ensure 100% safety, but some people can’t do it. I’ve seen it, and people do get invited to stop shooting for the match or permanently. They can and will pull your badge if you screw up. Literally by rule everybody is a safety Nazi in SASS. In my club it was a violation of the rules to see a safety violation and fail to call it out. Lots of ex Navy guys around here. lol

It will make a better shooter out you if that is what you are interested in. And you’ll have fun doing it.

  46. Jim F on November 2, 2021 at 8:27 pm

Since Levi’s has actively come out anti gun, and is paying anti gun groups, I’m assuming you don’t actually have to wear Levi’s? Ive stopped buying them completely.

  47. BluSky Gypsy on November 2, 2021 at 8:27 pm

Costume! Wtf.. my granddad had a name for this type..

    Dime store cowboys..

    We don’t wear costumes! Dick.

  48. Sombojoe C on November 2, 2021 at 8:31 pm

Some of the nicest people I ever met were at a gun range.

  49. Justin Seeton on November 2, 2021 at 8:31 pm

What would be the best barrel length to have for a model 73? I’m wanting to get one but dont know if I should get the 20 or 24 inch barrel.

  50. james zuelow on November 2, 2021 at 8:33 pm

Different focus for different lenses in your glasses – that’s a very nice tip. Thank you!
