This is still surreal to watch. It had wall to WALL coverage. The only other thing that I’ve ever seen dominate a news cycle for days on end like this in my lifetime was the death of Michael Jackson.

Watching the south tower collapse, I can’t help thinking all those voices that were silenced. We will never know what they thought of what happened or what they would have done. Very glad this footage is here so we will never forget.

I just cannot understand why the "reporters" are sometimes so behind in watching their own footage and commentating. An example is the south tower collapse. It takes them so 15 seconds to comment on what we can see with our own eyes. Wasn’t there anyone in the production team yelling down their earpieces to stop them blathering on about the pentagon?
I have never seen this footage before. Listening to the sirens of the first responders…and knowing most of them would be gone in the next couple of hours. It breaks my heart.

Fox news was spot on and analytical with healthy dose of common sense from the very beginning. They were the only ones among other TV stations, that sounded naive and totally stupid especially when relativizing evident events.
20 years since that day
Gosh I never forget watching that 2nd plane going into the tower live on TV in Ireland.. we all start screaming and my baby sister got terrified and we had to control ourselves. I had rang in sick to work that morning and then I turned on the morning news on sky news. Later that day. People were screaming in the street here that it was the end of the world. A terrifying day to live in. Then people started jumping out the windows live on TV. It was brutal.

This could have been the best coverage of the events of 9/11. It offers coherent, sensible commentary, excellent analysis, and very little stupid/insensitive chatter.
If almost one-third of the video window had not been covered by that FOX News Alert banner, this would have been the best coverage. As it is… no.
Whatever made FOX News think that viewers were even one iota interested in that banner? Cared which News was bringing them information about these terrible events?
