Floyd's Custom Shop M&P 2.0 "COMPACT" EDC Magwell Review

Floyd's Custom Shop M&P 2.0 "COMPACT" EDC Magwell Review

In this video I review the EDC Magwell from Flyod’s custom shop. This magwell is low profile and fixes and issue with the M&P Compact. I do some before and after shooting with a shot timer and knock about a .5 seconds off my reload! Thanks for watching!

I see this video is 2 years old, but … just some constructive feedback; I see you guiding your gun back into the holster with the muzzle pointing into the hole. You should try to holster with your palm guiding the gun in while touching your waist. I hear this a lot in CCW practice but I don’t hear it a lot when people are wearing all their tactical range gear. In this case, the muzzle points at your leg a few times! The re-holster should always be very slow & deliberate when training.

The other thing I see is you aren’t fully indexing your mag with your left index/pointer finger. It’s even clear at the 09:40 min mark. If you grab the length of the magazine and let your finger touch the bottom of the magwell then it will always slide in, unlike what happens at the 5:11 minute mark.

Good review on the magwell and I like seeing the before & after. It’s a shame the magwell is a good price but the upgrade technically includes a ginormous overall price for each magazine you have to adapt.

Does this compact version with magwell allow a comfortable full grip? Or is it a bit of compromise? Just deciding between 4" and 4,25

25$ to cost of every mag I’m all set into mine off

Great video! Awesome mag well, I feel you could shave 1.1 or 1.2 off your quick reload drills if you minimized your fine motor skills!

There should be a magwell…that works with stock base plate

Since it’s been a year have you noticed any problems with the magwell like more printing or anything like that? I got the +2 and didn’t know I would need the magwell as well to fill in the gaps the +2 leaves

Free internet advice so take it or leave it, you have a good base of fundamentals it looks like. You’d be even faster if you brought the pistol higher and closer to you during reloads. This aids in indexing mag in magwell and also keeps your eyes up keeping track of target which you mentioned in the vid.

Doesn’t matter how fast you are if you aren’t putting rounds on target. Let’s see your targets.
