I’ve got one of those. Mines a 1945 model. 22 short. The company was originally called international arms. The model is a Bronco. They sold for $5 back then. Most were scraped during war. The later models go for round $250(1960’s & up).

Should be stamped with Firearms International Co Washington DC on the edge of the butt plate.  its not a deep stamp so could be quite hard to see.

Hey Russell, I have one of these gems and I finally found info on it recently. I had it since I was 14, my dad got it from a friend and we thought it was home made. There is a side lever that rotates up and the rifle barrel will pull off for back packing. Main purpose really, there is an alignment slot right on top where it disconnects and that’s how you know the lever will lock the barrel properly. Enjoy the gun I know I have and I let my little cousin shoot it all the time and he is 7 here soon.

This company had ties to the cia for clandestine use over seas.

My dad got ours before 69 for it has no serial number on it.  We had gotten another one that is a 410/22 over/under.  I love them both and will never part with them.  They are now in my collection.  I have done many years of shooting with both of them.  Other then searching on-line I have yet to see anyone have one of them.  When out at the range shooting it I get asked what it that you are shooting.  Whether I shoot 50 or 550 in a day, it just brings the kid back in me.  They were cheap guns from back in the day that brings many years of fun.  Hope you enjoy yours the same.

The way you have laying, look at the very end of the "stock". Look right in before the buttplate. Mine says "Firearms International Corporation, Washington DC 20022". Other than that – I have nothing else showing. I know it’s mid to late 60’s mfgr.

I’ll give $300 for it. I already have one and the kids love to shoot it. Been in our family since my great grandpa bought it new. Real quiet rifle especially with target loads.

My uncle found one of these in a dumpster at the apartment he used to work at. Gave it to me.

I have this exact rifle, got it at a gun show about 20 years ago , paid $60 if I remember right. Very light weight and OK accurate, point could be made that a better choice then a .22 pistol to take while hiking.
I didn’t shoot mine for years and now it won’t cock, maybe dried oil has gummed it up. Doesn’t look like an easy gun to work on.
They also made them in .410 and I’ve seen them. I remember the old Garcia adds pushing the .410 as the perfect gun to shoot sharks !
I have heard about the .22/410 combo guns but have never seen one. I wouldn’t mind finding one of those.
