Exotic Gear Guide for Fresh Characters – Guild Wars 2 Farming Guide

Exotic Gear Guide for Fresh Characters – Guild Wars 2 Farming Guide

Welcome Guys, today I present You my way of gearing up characters in full exotic gear. This method is great for people who don’t really like crafting, and mostly for first level 80 players. This guide does require Heart of Thorns to be able to pull it off, but it’s very new player friendly, so If You haven’t purchased the expansion yet I highly recommend to do that. Hope it helps You, and as always if You liked the video, don’t forget to like and subscribe. Cheers!

Btw if you like to play WvW, there is a reward track there that drops a chest where you can choose an exotic item of your choice that you can select the stats from all possible stats. You can also buy them with currency from WvW.

  2. Norcobikezz on December 6, 2021 at 10:47 pm

honestly by the time you get to 80 you should have enough gold to buy a full set of berserker to get you started on any class

Hey, do you have a guild, I’m very curious? Btw bladed armor piece amongst the others is in pvp maguma reward track final chest

I know it’s not the best class, but could you make a video about the build for the core mesmer?

  5. Not Inrerested on December 6, 2021 at 10:54 pm

useless buy from trading post way faster

For me the easiest way is WvW reward tracks, I’ve gotten like 12 triumphant armour boxes and then from pip chests which gives war lord boxes which are also stat selectable.

Easiest way to get exotic berserker gear is at the karma merchant after unlocking temple of grenth in the cursed shores. Takes 42k karma per piece. Bladed armor is probably the best way to pick a stat though for condition damage vipers/trailblazers

started playing not a long ago and always watch your videos, you deserve more subscribers, keep up the good work.

I realize your good intentions but the problem is most of the armour pieces could be bought from tp for way less than 1gold each, so check tp before grinding.

Fantastic guide, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you

For chest armor, jsut get the bladed chest armor from the VB meta. All you need to do is have a contribution of 100% and the meta needs to reach tier4, thus join an organized group. You have to farm VB anyway. No need to waste crystalline ore on armor.

  14. Hobothesis on December 6, 2021 at 11:03 pm

But isn’t a lot of the exotic gear cheaper on the trading post?

  15. Leondre Morgan on December 6, 2021 at 11:07 pm

  17. au zip on December 6, 2021 at 11:09 pm

Your videos are awesome and have helped me a ton! I only have one issue now, I can’t decide what I want to play. I’m looking for the spec that’s capable of soloing the most difficult open world content while also being able to jump in to fractals and do relatively well.

You have a great understanding and knowledge of the game and the professions so I’m going to ask you. If you could only pick two for soloing the most difficult open world content and being able to do fractals with a group, which two would you choose? Thanks!

@Venario Gaming I actually just learned in this video that some of the scrap trophy items are currency. I had 2 something-or-others drop in WvW and I dumped them to make space in my bags. Now I have to check every trophy item to make sure they aren’t part of building something I want. So good info here.

great guide venario. didnt know that there was an option to buy stat selectible for a chest piece.
Question though, is there a vendor that sells stat selectible for accessories? thanks

Guide how to get exotic gear…..use gold…the end

  22. Owl Sailing on December 6, 2021 at 11:15 pm

I never used exotic before haha. Straight jumped to ascend by doing pvp

  23. RecklessFables on December 6, 2021 at 11:21 pm

This just looks daunting. Like so daunting I could get a part time job evenings for 2 weeks (well, in a COVID-less world), convert RL currency into gems, and then convert gems to gold and buy the set at the trading post.

  24. Jamalsawma on December 6, 2021 at 11:22 pm

I just play some PVP rank and get the Warlord chest 😌

Great guide Venario, thanks! I would like to mention that the meta night event on Verdant Brink happens every 2 hours at xx:45 and if you finish it with 100% participation at least and your group reaches level 4 it will reward you with another bladed set piece of your choosing, including the chest piece 🙂
You can find a group going on on the group finder (Y key on the keyboard by default) very easilly!
