    In 1981 I fell in love with a girl and we were both only 18 years old. We saw this movie together when it came out, I believe in June of 1981. We both loved the movie becaus it reminded us of ourselves, of how in love we were. We married in 1982 and the marriage lasted 13 years. I was a police officer and I allowed the stress of the job to change me as a person. We grew apart and I ended up walking out on her and we had 3 small kids at the time. Everyday, I ask God to forgive me for what I did and I have hated myself since then, for doing what I did. Back in 1981, this was our song and I can’t listen to it now without crying. I’m sorry for what I did and only wish somehow I could go back and fix what I screwed up so badly.
