Its great! I think I paid around $1100-1200 for it. I think it was well worth it.

  2. M on November 22, 2021 at 6:35 pm

I do. Took it out today infact.

HAHAHA, you have to love random comments on Youtube. I haven’t laughed that hard in the longest time.

  4. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 6:38 pm

No clue where you might find them these days. I got mine through GunBroker.

  5. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 6:38 pm

    LOL

  6. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 6:39 pm

They did open up some, although I wonder how much of that is because of the sight I was using. At distance the dot become blurry/blobby on some of the Aimpoints and adding a magnifier makes it worse. So I’m not sure how much was a product of the gun or the sight. Up close it was great though. Did you see my before and after vid on this rifle?

"sorry for pointing it at u"??? LAME, come on now!

  8. Bubbasizer on November 22, 2021 at 6:42 pm

how do you like the DD m4?, how much was it? and is it worth the money?

  9. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 6:44 pm

    Congrats!

  10. navyvet83 on November 22, 2021 at 6:45 pm

u def. can notice the 8oz but i dont think im willing to rock out with the slightly heavier M4 profile barrel. the 8 oz just isnt enough to justify going with a LW

  11. chase hicklin on November 22, 2021 at 6:45 pm

a bullet button requires a tool or a bullet to be pressed where the mag release is in order to release the mag and i think they can only have 10 round mags

  12. bawoodd11 on November 22, 2021 at 6:47 pm

McJizzle didn’t catch on to your humour…..although blatantly obvious to most viewers.

  13. BMENG on November 22, 2021 at 6:48 pm

How has the accuracy been with various types of ammo?

  14. 808 on November 22, 2021 at 6:51 pm

How does this compare to a Spikes Tactical AR-15?

  15. spookypunky on November 22, 2021 at 6:51 pm

    Are ya gonna shoot it?

  16. Luis Castillo on November 22, 2021 at 6:51 pm

question I purchased one, and the markings on the side of the upper with the 5.56 emblem and version 5 emblem aren’t there, instead it has on the front left a small Daniel defense logo, what does this mean? btw the lower emblems are identical to a regular one.

  17. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 6:55 pm

My apologies. It will never happen again. Although, just to be safe it might be best to keep your face away from the screen. You just never know… 😉

I hate California they make u circumcise your guns with a fuckin bullet button

  19. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 6:56 pm

    Indeed it is! 🙂

I did get the V7 LW and the handguard does heat up a little, but I like the sleekness of it and the ability to attach the rail sections where I need it and not have rails where I don’t. I did use it a little heated up during a carbine class without gloves and didn’t really notice it during the course of the drills.  I feel what I give up in accuracy when the barrel heats up is only noticeable at the longer distances.  The lightness of the rifle makes it quicker to put it in play from the low ready, do transitions, reloads, etc. in addition to making it easier to carry all day, especially if you have a 30 lb pack, or plate carrier, etc.  I hated the trigger so I installed a Geissele G2S trigger, a $170 cheaper version of the SSA which feels exactly the same to me.  Also put on a MOE + pistol grip.  My next addition will be an Eotech Exps2-0.  Then maybe a new stock, the MOE it came with rattles a little.

I ordered mine through a local gun shop early January and it didn’t arrive until March. In November they had a shelf full of them configured in all sorts of ways with lots of extras, none more than $1400. Come January they tried charging me $1679 but I haggled them down to $1550. Oh and I ordered the V5 but they accidentally shipped the V4. I’d waited too long to turn it down. It would have been more if it was the V5 though. Good luck.

I just picked this rifle up today for $1100 at my local gun club. I was in there looking to buy the upper receiver of this rifle for an 80% lower I have, and the upper was $999 and the full rifle was on sale for $1100….that was a no brainer. I love the light weight… Just gonna add a better grip and throw my Aimpoint and TLR1 and I am good to go. I might swap out the charging handle too.

  23. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:01 pm

    You’re welcome!

  24. navyvet83 on November 22, 2021 at 7:03 pm

I don’t see how anyone would pay $1600 for a rifle with a lightweight barrel. they heat up faster and damage easier and you cant shoot rapidly because the heat will effect accuracy

  25. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:04 pm

    Yea, good question.

  26. wesjohn2 on November 22, 2021 at 7:05 pm

I might be able to get one for a decent price by weeks end. God damn am I happy.

  27. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:08 pm

    Its a great rifle!

  28. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:08 pm

I was joking. More a comment on how people get all bent out shape with people not doing safety checks, etc.

  29. maxpadsify on November 22, 2021 at 7:08 pm

    3 people couldn’t afford a dd rifle

  30. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:08 pm

It would be interesting, although I don’t think I’m going to come anywhere near its limits.

  31. SImple on November 22, 2021 at 7:10 pm

I bought this A while ago and I LOVE it

  32. Ryan Lush on November 22, 2021 at 7:10 pm

I liked this so much I built almost the same gun. They shipped the V4 on accident and I took it but I matched your color scheme. No light and I added an EOtech EXPS2 but the rest if very similar. It’s a fine looking gun we have 🙂

  33. chase hicklin on November 22, 2021 at 7:10 pm

i would like to see someone do a durability and accuracy test between the light weight barrel and the regular one

  34. Alonte Wheeler on November 22, 2021 at 7:12 pm

I want to purchase one but most websites seem to be out of stock. What website do you recommend to purchase one?

  35. navyvet83 on November 22, 2021 at 7:13 pm

i meant im willing to go with the regular M4 profile barrel over the LW

  36. A Bowl of Pho on November 22, 2021 at 7:14 pm

In my local gun shop, there is a DDV3 UPPER and it costs 1,399 bucks. Funny how much the price changes over the course of a few months.

  37. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:15 pm

I think I paid around $1130 for it off Gunbroker. I’ve really enjoyed it and have around 4000 rounds through it now after taking it to several AR classes. You can check out my vids from those and also look at my before and after vid and you can see all the stuff I added. Overall though I really like it. The barrel can get a bit warm after a lot of shooting but with gloves on its not a big deal. Otherwise I have no complaints about it.

  38. TheMrKrause on November 22, 2021 at 7:16 pm

    Thank you for the review

  39. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:17 pm

I paid $1100. It heats up faster, but also cools faster. I suppose if you want long range accuracy a ‘more stable’ heavier barrel might be better. For close range stuff though I wouldn’t think its going to matter much.

  40. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:18 pm

    Congrats!

  41. VCU PIANIST on November 22, 2021 at 7:19 pm

Why the large notch on the grip? So uncomfortable. Going to replace it immediately.

  42. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:19 pm

That wasn’t really the point of this video. It was more just to show what I did with the rifle. Check out my stand alone review of the rifle. But to answer your question its a 556/223.

  43. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:20 pm

    Lol

  44. ZFlyingVLover on November 22, 2021 at 7:22 pm

Most important info missing WTF is the caliber on this model?

  45. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:24 pm

What do you have to do?

  46. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:28 pm

    Wow, crazy!

  47. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:28 pm

Oh, actually, I thought he was making that comment on my before and after vid hence my comment. That said, I’d also figure that most people watching this vid would know what kind of rifle they were looking at. And also that said, there is no reason to "WTF" me because I may have omitted the caliber. You could just ask a simple polite question or make a polite statement. HOwever again to answer your question… mea culpa… its a 556/223.

  48. SnareMan on November 22, 2021 at 7:29 pm

Yep! I’m glad I got one when I did!

  49. 808 on November 22, 2021 at 7:33 pm

For the price of the Rifle. The grip and trigger should be more that just "ok"

  50. Michael Norman on November 22, 2021 at 7:34 pm

This is hands down the favorite AR in my safe.
