Overgassed, let’s add weight. Here we take 4 different buffers and test them out to see what they do differently in the operation and cycling

Change your spring to a sprinco hot white spring or red spring dude.

  2. Brandon Bowman on May 27, 2023 at 4:23 am

    Good video

  3. Steven Marcus on May 27, 2023 at 4:24 am

You need to buy yourself a couple Springco springs, Blue and Red… that should fix you’re problem

  4. charlie.g.hague on May 27, 2023 at 4:25 am

Research springco springs. They make lighter buffer springs that would prob solve the issue.

    Goofy

  6. Akira on May 27, 2023 at 4:29 am

i thank your review was great because it proved something. that if overgassed the buffer weight may or may not fix the situation. However it would have been really interesting to see if your rifle has bolt bounce and if the different weights had any affect.

  7. paul burr on May 27, 2023 at 4:31 am

Mr. Geissele states that a H buffer and a H1 buffer are the same thing

  8. Elisa Lomeli on May 27, 2023 at 4:31 am

Any issues having a H3 Buffer with a 14.5" Midlength?

  9. alphawolf on May 27, 2023 at 4:32 am

Another benefit of using a heavy buffer is to reduce bolt bounce.

  10. 480 i on May 27, 2023 at 4:32 am

The H3 did significantly improve the ejection pattern

  11. Chris on May 27, 2023 at 4:34 am

Next time lets not weigh things on carpet 👌

  12. Hiram Redleg on May 27, 2023 at 4:36 am

Did you ever try the sprinco buffer springs for the over gas issue??

  13. Beardedboysam on May 27, 2023 at 4:37 am

Adjustable Gas block will be your answer !!!

  14. Skinny Pete on May 27, 2023 at 4:41 am

Will the part wear out faster ?

  15. Colten Swindle on May 27, 2023 at 4:44 am

    Add a blue springco

  16. RC Bishop on May 27, 2023 at 4:46 am

It’s the spring, chief. You already know that, though.

  17. Grayish Man on May 27, 2023 at 4:48 am

Even if you don’t get much of a change to the angle of ejection it still benefits you to use the heaviest buffer that runs. While it may not be perceptible it every so slightly delays extraction and aids in both reliability and reduced parts wear. Even a few milliseconds delay gives the chamber pressure more time to come down before the extraction begins. I personally use the Vltor A5 system because it gives more weight and slows down more due to that and increased travel over carbine.

  18. scott3708 on May 27, 2023 at 4:48 am

hmm no difference, so now what? So leave it?? Not a solution.

  19. Taters Domergue on May 27, 2023 at 4:48 am

I learned that the gas impingement system still sucks.

  20. Taters Domergue on May 27, 2023 at 4:49 am

"Weed is not free." Best quote in the whole video.

  21. Scuba Steve on May 27, 2023 at 4:52 am

Try the a5 buffer system, all my ARs run it now

  22. Andrew Johnson on May 27, 2023 at 4:53 am

They need to be kicking shells to about 4:00 of the ejection port. It may function reliably at other angles, but it’s about proper timing so you’re not beating things apart prematurely.

  23. shuumai on May 27, 2023 at 4:53 am

Need to watch for deflection. That changes the ejection direction.

  24. Travis Gregory on May 27, 2023 at 4:53 am

Gonna need adjustable gas block. I have a Ruger 556 mpr 18 inch barrel rifle length gas system. I had to go to h2 buffer with springco red extra power spring to bring ejection from 1- 2 o’clock to 3 -4 oclock

  25. UniqueBassin on May 27, 2023 at 4:55 am

Does your folder use the extension? Doesn’t that make it heavier just buy having that?

  26. Mick on May 27, 2023 at 4:55 am

    👍

  27. Scotty Papa on May 27, 2023 at 4:56 am

What folding stock adapter is that and where can I get one

  28. Kenneth Rand on May 27, 2023 at 4:57 am

Sprinco springs really help with the fine tuning if it is that overgased then I’d buy the blue, red, and white/red spring. Start with red and work down I keep 4 different types of buffers and three different springs in my range bag when building a new ar-15.

  29. KBell on May 27, 2023 at 4:57 am

They’re all hitting the shell deflector and going where they’re supposed to

  30. None on May 27, 2023 at 4:59 am

Hey KB32 I’ve got a question! Building out a PSA PA10 GEN3 BUILDERS SET. With a 18 inch fluted mid length gas system barrel, adjustable Aero gas block and a carbine 6 position buffer tube. What do you recommend for a buffer weight? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

  31. Dave Schutt on May 27, 2023 at 5:00 am

    1. grease the buffer tube
    2. go with softer spring
    3. if you have adjustable gas block dial it in

  32. Casey McCormack on May 27, 2023 at 5:00 am

Great test… You need to add a Sprinco Heavy spring to that mix..

  33. frank smith on May 27, 2023 at 5:02 am

All cases hit the A2 upgrade design brass deflector designed for left hand shooters. 1986-87 roughly.

  34. Matt N/A on May 27, 2023 at 5:02 am

    Excellent video.

  35. PK LittleBear on May 27, 2023 at 5:02 am

Well..? Ok, was worth it for the comic relief, sort of a tool time vibe.

  36. Averitt13 on May 27, 2023 at 5:03 am

    Change the spring

  37. Johnnie Wasr on May 27, 2023 at 5:04 am

Should’ve thrown a lower with an a5 into the mix and seen if that made it eject more at 3-4

  38. J T on May 27, 2023 at 5:06 am

I foolishly assumed bootlickers knew more about guns than this video indicates.

  39. John Coleman on May 27, 2023 at 5:06 am

did it change the perceived recoil

  40. DP on May 27, 2023 at 5:09 am

This is why pistol braces are on the ATF radar. People like this making videos shouldering a pistol brace.

  41. Gustavo Torres on May 27, 2023 at 5:10 am

If you running a full auto the heavier the buffer is the faster the rpm ??

  42. Venomxjjb on May 27, 2023 at 5:12 am

I have a 10.5" that did the same thing, kept stepping up the buffers and while it calmed down some, still about 2 Oclock. its not a big deal though, little over gassing is fine.

  44. Peter Martin on May 27, 2023 at 5:15 am

    H3 with the Geissele. 😎👍

  45. Aaron S. on May 27, 2023 at 5:15 am

Need a stiffer spring or go agb

  46. scott campbell on May 27, 2023 at 5:17 am

Adams arms AASF 15 rifle buffer spring and an H3 buffer running without any malfunctions.

  47. Casey Cook on May 27, 2023 at 5:18 am

I’m a left handed shooter and built a 16" 6.5 grendel I want a h3 buffer to get it to just run smoother but I want it to eject away from my face

  48. aLabs666 on May 27, 2023 at 5:18 am

superlative block. got three on my builds. buffers and springs alter recoil along with reducing the tendency to stack loads/jam under rapid fire.

  49. Chanc on May 27, 2023 at 5:18 am

I’ve got that Russian perst 4 gen 3 :). What would you run for a Franklin armory binary trigger? I’ve got a 16" rifle length gas system upper….not sure the weight to use… pleez help?

  50. Tom Fletcher on May 27, 2023 at 5:18 am

more buffer spring and adjustable Gas Block for tuning
