    Beautiful set of knifes.
Always wondered what happened to the spring loaded knife. It was very wicked. Would fly straight 20ft. Thanks for sharing

kinda sad you didn’t mention anything about 154cm steel or anything about other knives that would be seen as utilitarian but also as a self-defense tool. I’m currently eyeballn the 154cm tops bob knife because of its excellent edge retention, its ease of sharpening, and its much more rust-resistant capabilities over the 420hc steel which is considered as one of the worlds worst alloyed steels that loses its edge much faster, but still is a really durable steel.

Some of these knives cost almost as much as a good gun. A firearm is better than a knife. Get a good budget knife and a reliable firearm.

  9. BladeObsession on October 27, 2021 at 5:38 pm

    What about the Benchmade Adamas

  10. James Watson on October 27, 2021 at 5:39 pm

Big fan of the Ka Bar Extreme D2. All the benefits of the classic with the better steel.

  13. CCXRS7 on October 27, 2021 at 5:45 pm

I destroyed a Gerber LMF in like 3 months in Afghanistan. Replaced it with a Pohl Force Alpha 3 and still carry it 10 years later.

I think there’s confusion about what is a "combat knife". Versus a "fighting knife"". Because (I just learnt this) the US military’s "combat knives" are actually more leaning towards being "survival knives". than "kill knives". Being a soldier they would need a cutting tool that could also be used to break down branches to make fires or bones of animals for food. Whereas a "fighting knife" is only designed for one thing…killing or slowing someone down. Just because the Kabar was (might still be) brought into combat it’s called a "combat knife"..when really it’s a "survival knife"….in my mind. Some countries use only "fighting knives" in combat (soldiers). So it depends who’s military we’re talking about too.

I recently acquired the boker reproduction 1915 trench knife with oak handle it’s a beautiful piece of my edc, If I want something more discreet my kershaw 4" Leek assisted opening folder, that thing is like a giant scalpel

  18. DobermansRock on October 27, 2021 at 5:54 pm

No mention of the Benchmade 375. This guy is on crack. I have 3 and wish I had them during my time in the Army. Size, weight and blade design. It is all there. Plus a part of the cost goes to a good charity for the families of lost Rangers.
The Kill A Bear is a fine knife and affordable. But newer better designs with better steel are out there.

My brother gave me his Randall that he carried in VN ….. never did carry it much until I got to 7th ID … not TOE, NA etc. … then one day I was observing some training and this old jumpmaster with a 173rd combat patch saw it on my belt … gawd I thought he was having a stroke!
Where’d you get that Captain! Are you insane SIRR! Your brother? Who the hell was he?
I thought I killed Kennedy …. next week had a store bought knife. The Randall is in the china hutch.

  23. Trevor Snyder on October 27, 2021 at 6:01 pm

Iโ€™m a former US Marine, the Marines nowadays donโ€™t issue KA-BARs. I purchased one from the MCX because I wanted one, Iโ€™ve seen many marines carrying a gerber strong arm pro.

  24. Brian Winters on October 27, 2021 at 6:02 pm

    Great review.

  25. LittleJohnny on October 27, 2021 at 6:03 pm

In my opinion, the 1918 trench knife is the ultimate fighting knife with the double edge spear point blade, and the brass knuckle handle with a pointed pommel! It is deadly in so many ways!

  26. Marcus Xiriha on October 27, 2021 at 6:03 pm

lol this guy looks like he constantly is about to sneeze

  27. Leigh Christopherson on October 27, 2021 at 6:03 pm

The pilot models produced along side the Mark II. I know Ontario made one. Basic five inch stacked leather clip point, small saw teeth on the back side, almost like jimping. There is also the "Seabee" with a five inch dropped point.

  28. Dave George on October 27, 2021 at 6:08 pm

Ka Bar hands down, Semper Fi, however I carried both the Ka Bar and the Gerber mk II while I served.

  31. Tud Row on October 27, 2021 at 6:10 pm

I’ll stick with the ka-bar. The others are way over priced for me.

  34. Joseph Hernandez on October 27, 2021 at 6:13 pm

I love KABAR. My cousin is a USMC vet and he was in about 8 years before me. When he got out he found out me and my friend signed up for boot camp. He said I have something for you if you graduate boot camp. If you survive you little bastard. After I got my EGA he actually was at my graduation. He went with my parents. I want you to have this you little bastard. He gave me his USMC KABAR. He said a good Marine always has a good sharp knife. Keep it sharp. Keep it oiled. I still have that knife til this day and that was 2007 that I graduated. They honestly last forever. I did get a knew sheath though. Im gonna give it to my son when he gets older. After that I bought the TDI and D2 from KABAR. I also have the USMC M9 from Ontario. Its an awesome and very sturdy bayonet. Its the exact same as when I was in. It fits on stard size ARs. It also is sturdy enough to be used as a fighting/combat knife. I want the EK 4 from KABAR next

  35. billy rautio on October 27, 2021 at 6:14 pm

  38. Tetrapharmakos on October 27, 2021 at 6:16 pm

Ugh, I hate that they all have dyed black blades! I want a knife that doesn’t look like crap after I use it hard for several years!

  42. Ghost on October 27, 2021 at 6:19 pm

Do you think the Buck 120 knife would be a good combat knife, the one from Scream? Thanks

  43. GudNat on October 27, 2021 at 6:20 pm

    No Tops?

  44. Bearzerk330 on October 27, 2021 at 6:21 pm

A knife or a mortgage payment?
    Prices don’t justify the quality.
    Awesome video none the less!

  45. The Tribe on October 27, 2021 at 6:22 pm

They are kitchen knives with some technical sounding jargon attached to influence the buyers’ mind.
    Another cheap display of consumerism.
A good chef knife is all what it. takes

  46. Scott. on October 27, 2021 at 6:24 pm

My most favorite is the M3 Trench Knife.

  47. Arctodus Simus on October 27, 2021 at 6:24 pm

My favorite combat knife would be the TOPS Prather War Bowie.
